Katarina's PovNathan didn't look pleased with what I had just told him. He looked disappointed. Maybe a little bit heartbroken. I couldn't look at him cause I felt bad. He has been a good friend to me. I never imagined hurting him this way. I wasn't able to tell him about my decision last night. It seems he was avoiding me throughout the night. He must have heard our conversation. Or Tak must have told him that he has gotten a father. He didn't look surprised though. It felt like he knew already and was just waiting for me to tell him. "So you'll be going to Garden City with Tak?" He asked."Yes," I nodded."When?""Tyson said we can leave later in the day. I wanted to speak with you first.""Why? You could have just left. Looking at you right now is hard, you know." His words were harsh. Maybe I deserve them. "I didn't want to leave without speaking to you. You're my friend and have been a father figure to my son." He needed to know how important he was to me. I would not have b

Tyson's PovWe quickly rushed into our rooms when we got to the hotel. Audrey was true to her words. Our rooms were ready by the time we got to the hotel. I tried not to make my disappointment obvious. This was not how I expected the night to go. Staying at the hotel on our first night together didn't sound right. Tak had asked if this was where we were going to stay. He was exhausted from the drive.Kat said that this was his first time traveling so it was taking a toll on him. I watched him throw up as soon as we got to our rooms. I need to get him drugs. "Will he be alright or do I need to get any drugs for him?" I asked Kat. She touched his head and sighed."He is burning up but I don't think it's serious. He just needs to rest. But to be on the safer side I'd like for him to take ibuprofen." I nodded. I called Audrey. She answered almost immediately. "Your Majesty, I was just notified by the hotel that you got in safely," she said. "Yes, I need someone to get me some pills."

Tyson's PovI stared at my mate sleeping deeply beside me. She looked peaceful. With the rays of the sun glowing on her face, I was mesmerized. It felt like a dream.Finding her years ago was by luck. Seeing her again, and being with her now is the work of the Moon Goddess.Last night was a game changer for our relationship. For the first time since acknowledging her as my mate, I felt connected to her. The unreasonable feeling to protect every strand of her hair. I never for once thought we would progress this fast. My wolf had always wanted to be intimate with his mate from the first day. I'm not a saint because I wanted it too but had to restrain my urges. Acting on my every thought would have only made things worse. My stubborn mate. She acts calm and tough but I could see right through her. She's a soft hearted woman who loves passionately. I could envision how beautiful our life could be. The only problem was that she was rejecting my mark. My wolf had tried severally to mark

Katarina's PovTyson opened the door and we walked inside. We were finally in his apartment. We stayed in the hotel for three more days just because Tyson wanted to make sure there were no more attacks. He has been so busy that I've barely had time to talk to him. I glanced through the apartment. It looked warm at least. "Welcome home," he finally said. I smiled and walked around with Tak. "It looks beautiful," I compliment. He smiled. "Thank you. Let me show you around." He held my arms and carried Tak on his right arm. Together he gave us a tour of the apartment. It was a three bedroom apartment with an extra toilet. His walls had a lot of art beautifying them. He spoke confidently and was proud of his home. There was an extra elevator that led directly to the garage. He had a lot of surveillance cameras in the house which made me uncomfortable. He promised it was just for protection and nothing else but it still made me feel uneasy. I wasn't used to being monitored every seco

Tyson's PovI drove with speed to my warehouse. It was a little bit far from my apartment but I was able to get there in thirty minutes. I came down from the car and ran to the building only to see nobody there. It was completely vacant. Dean was not there and neither was the team I called in for backup. What was happening? I tried to enter the building but it was locked. It didn't look like there was a robbery an hour ago. There was no trace or evidence of wolves. I tried smelling the air but I couldn't get anything. I heard footsteps coming up behind me and quickly turned to attack. My claws were a few inches away from Dean's face. He stood still, shocked that I would try to attack him. "What the hell, Dean?" I yelled and dropped my hands. "I came over as soon as Audrey called me. I didn't understand what was going on." I frowned at his words. His shirt didn't have a speckle of dirt on it. There were also some men behind him. "I got your voicemail that's why I'm here," I told
