"By the way, where are you taking me for the honeymoon?" Drishti asked excitedly."Honeymoon?" Shravan asked in surprise. He hadn't given it a thought."Of course. All newly married couples go for a honeymoon. But don't worry, we don't have to go right away. I can't take any more leave. If I do, I won't be allowed to sit for exams. So we will go during my semester break," Drishti said."What's your attendance percentage, Drishti?" Shravan asked."Forty percent," Drishti said with a shrug."Forty? Dear God, what were you doing skipping all the classes?" Shravan asked in horror."Oh, we sometimes go for movies or simply for drives.""That is not done, Drishti. You can't skip classes like that. If you don't attend the classes, how are you going to understand anything? How are you going to write the exam?""Even if I do attend the class, I don't really understand half the things they teach. They are so boring that I mostly fall asleep during the class," Drishti said.Shravan took in a dee

Next morning, Shravan woke up with a smile, finding his wife all over him."Wife!! Sounds nice," he thought. Her head was on his shoulder, her hands across his torso, and her legs tangled with his.Her hair was all over her face.Shravan gently moved the hair strands from her face and tucked them behind her ears. The slight movement disturbed her lightly, and she snuggled more into him.He caressed her cheeks with his thumbs and pressed a kiss on her forehead."Good morning, Drishti," he murmured against her skin and lied there with her in his arms for a while. The feel of her soft warmth against his body felt too good to move away.Shravan almost fell asleep again when his phone pinged with the reminder he had set for the shareholders' meeting scheduled for the morning."Damn!! How did he forget something so important?" he cursed softly and got up from the bed without disturbing her.He hurried to the office and found Mithran and Isha were already there.Mithran raised an eyebrow and

"Anjali, meet my wife, Drishti. Drishti, this is our receptionist, Anjali," Shravan made the introductions as he stood up from his chair."Hello, Anjali. I told you I'm his wife, but you didn't believe me," Drishti said."Sorry, ma'am. We weren't aware that Sir got married.""Nobody knows. We eloped and married," Drishti said, and Shravan stared at her in horror."Anjali, you can get on with your work," Shravan dismissed his receptionist and turned to Drishti."Why did you lie?""You are the one who told me to keep the circumstances of the marriage a secret, so people will wonder why nobody knows about our marriage. So I thought the story of elopement would sound nice. I even have a story planned in my mind," Drishti said excitedly."Really? Please do share the story with us too," Mithran asked in amusement."You really want to know? Great!" Drishti took a chair next to Mithran and started narrating a story about how some goons kidnapped her for ransom, and how Shravan came to rescue

Shravan walked behind Drishti, carrying multiple shopping bags as she walked ahead of him, still full of energy. He groaned loudly as he saw her walk into yet another shop. Two hours down, she was still happily running around the mall, buying whatever caught her fancy.Shravan handed over the shopping bags to the guard at the counter and took the tokens in return. He then followed Drishti into the shop."Aren't you done yet, Drishti? You've already done enough shopping to last a year," Shravan said in exasperation."I need some swimsuits and a set of Crocs. We're going to a beach resort, so obviously we'll be swimming," Drishti replied, browsing through the selection of bikinis and swimsuits."What do you think I should get, a bikini or a one-piece?" Drishti asked, and Shravan groaned. The woman had been doing a fashion show in front of him for the past two hours, and he had been walking around in a half-aroused state the entire time."Get whatever you want. I'll wait for you in the f

"Now let's go home," Shravan said, and they walked out of the men's apparel store."Oh no, there is a little more to buy," Drishti said."What more is there, Drishti?" Shravan snapped, at the end of his tether."Let's go to the supermarket. We need to buy lots of snacks and drinks," Drishti said."You make a list. I will get Rajesh kaka to buy them tomorrow. Let's go home," Shravan said."Tomorrow? What if I get hungry tonight?""Tonight? We already had our dinner, Drishti. Why would you get hungry again?""Don't you know what Nisha told Jagdish? Forty calories get burned when you-" Drishti began to say when Shravan cut her off midway."Who are Nisha and Jagdish?""You haven't watched the movie Thuppakki?" Drishti asked."Uh no, I don't watch movies," he said, and Drishti stared at him as if he said he was from Mars."You don't watch movies? How can someone not watch movies? How boring is that?" Drishti asked."What did Nisha tell Jagdish?" Shravan asked, not wanting to dwell more on

Shravan and Drishti carried all their shopping bags up to their penthouse with the help of the security guard. As they reached the bedroom, Drishti stuffed all her new dresses into the wardrobe along with her old ones.Shravan shook his head and talked himself out of a speech regarding order and arrangements."If he starts that, the topic will end up with him being accused of being a bore," he thought to himself."Why provoke her?" he thought to himself."Where are your shopping bags?" Drishti asked, coming around and taking them from him.Shravan stared in horror as she opened his side of the wardrobe."Noo!" he yelled, startling Drishti."What? Why are you screaming?" she asked."Uh, nothing. It's just... Ah! Yes, I will arrange them. Why don't you go and take a shower? I know you must be tired after all that running around in the mall," Shravan quickly covered up.Drishti shot a bright smile at him."Aww, you are worried about me being tired? How cute," Drishti cooed and hugged him

Shravan took deep breaths, trying to control himself, but finally lost the battle after fifteen minutes of watching Drishti."Drishti," he called out."Yes?" she asked without looking up from piling her clothes into the suitcase."For heaven's sake, stop it. They are new. Why are you crumpling them like that?" Shravan snapped, making Drishti startle."What? Why are you angry? What did I do?" Drishti asked in confusion.Shravan took deep breaths again and pasted a smile on his face."Why don't you go and pour us both a glass of juice? You bought many today, didn't you? I will manage the packing," Shravan said.Drishti bestowed a heartwarming smile at him and hugged him tight."Thank you so much. I'm a mess at packing. At home, Maa does it for me," Drishti said and gave him a loud kiss on his cheek before running to the kitchen to get the juices.Shravan shook his head and got on with the packing. He always had a travel bag ready, so his packing wouldn't take much time. He carried on wi

"Drishti, wake up. We need to leave. Come on," Shravan shook Drishti to wake her up."Mmmm," Drishti mumbled and snuggled more into her pillows.Shravan leaned closer to her and ruffled his wet hair, making water droplets fall on Drishti's face.Drishti groaned and opened her eyes with a scowl on her face."Couldn't you just call me? I would have woken up," Drishti grumbled sulkily."Of course, I know. Now go take a shower and get ready."As Drishti came out of the shower, she saw Shravan dressed in his usual classic black suit and frowned."Do you have a business meeting on the way?" Drishti asked."No.""Then why are you dressed in a suit?" Drishti asked in irritation.Shravan shrugged. He had gotten used to wearing suits on a daily basis. Initially, it was to create a mature professional image, and with time, it just stuck."Take it off," Drishti demanded."What? We are getting late, Drishti. You get ready quickly," Shravan said.Drishti walked straight to her wardrobe and chose bl

They had landed at the Mumbai airport a few minutes ago.Drishti and Shravan were sitting at two corners, away from each other.Drishti had fallen asleep listening to the music, and Shravan had kept working, his anger driving him more.He looked at her sleeping and looked back at the laptop angrily. Why does everything have to go her way? So what if he wanted to build a resort at the damn island? He is not asking her to give him the island for free. Why isn't she looking into the pros of the whole deal? The people there would benefit greatly from the island. Why does she have to be selfish just because she wants a peaceful holiday destination to herself?Shravan was getting angrier with every passing minute. The resort at D Love will be a huge mark in his career. Giving that up is not an option.Isha had once mentioned buying the bare island nearby. But that place doesn't have the charm of D Love. The culture and handicrafts of D Love would be a great attraction for the tourists. His

On his way to the main dining hall, Shravan met his grandfather."Dadu," Shravan greeted his grandfather."Shravan, my boy. How are you?" Tej Maheswari asked."Good. How are you, Dadu? Are you taking your medications on time?" Shravan asked."Yes, yes," Tej Maheswari said, waving his hands off dismissively."Don't exert yourself, Dadu," Shravan said."I know, I know. Where is the girl? I asked you both to meet me," Tej asked."She must already be there. I had asked her to meet us there at five. It's five now," Shravan said, looking at his wristwatch."Is she any good, boy?" Tej asked."Yes, Dadu," Shravan said, and he entered the dining hall with his grandfather. He had left instructions with her that she should meet them for tea, but when they made it to the dining room, the table was laid with tea and snacks, but the room was empty apart from two flustered footmen, one of whom was sneaking looks out of the window as Shravan strode into the room."Where is she?" Shravan addressed the
