"I would like to apologize to you personally, Melisam."Melisam was looking at Rondolf silently. She had different perceptions and assumptions about Rondolf Blackton than her mother, Rula Whitney.Melisam believed that her biological father was only an older man who wanted peace and love in his old age. He was a lonely man."So why didn't you tell me?" Melisam asked softly. "I would've heard."Rondolf grinned faintly. "I'm too shy."Melisam was silent. Her father and mother had opposing mindsets. Melisam needed to be of sufficient age to understand them.Melisam let out a long breath. "Then you don't need to apologize."Melisam leaned her chin on her lap. She looked at the scene before her. Melisam felt a little comforted in the quiet of the night when her father took her to the back of the palace."You need to apologize if you think it is your mistake." Melisam smiled bitterly. "If your shame makes you stop admitting it, don't do it."Rondolf laughed crisply. "Is that what your mothe

"Let me go!" Melisam pushed away the man's body before her. "I can walk on my feet!"The man looked back and saw that Melisam had stepped away from him. Both of them exchanged glances, comprehending each other."Why did you carry me here like you were dragging a thief caught red-handed?" Melisam scrunched her brow. She glared at the man."I am Melisam! I am Rondolf Blackton's biological daughter!"Rockley approached Melisam. "So, what were you doing just now?"Melisam furrowed her brow."Why were you standing there and eavesdropping on their conversation?" asked Rockley. "Do you not understand proper conduct?"Melisam was silent for a moment as she lowered her gaze. She was caught red-handed. Rockley was not at fault for taking Melisam away before Rondolf and Yarusoyya noticed her whereabouts."I wasn't eavesdropping!" Melisam tried defending herself. "I just happened to ....""Melisam." Rockley interrupted."Are you unwilling to take a lesson from past mistakes?" Rockley asked again.

"Melisam! Please wake up!"Zloe struggled to protect Melisam from the Black-wolf pack attempting to attack Melisam's body. They're targeting Melisam, which is evident from the many times Zloe has fallen to make an opportunity for them to kidnap Melisam tonight.Zloe used all his strength to defeat every werewolf that attacked him tonight. He is wounded. His arms are scratched and punctured, and so is his stomach. Although Zloe had become a full-fledged werewolf, the black wolf pack could not match his strength."Melisam! Please help!" Zloe continuously shouted. He tried to resuscitate Melisam. Finally, Zloe was surrounded. He was defeated. Everyone kept cornering him. Zloe made a slow retreat.Zloe walked back a longer distance each time, putting more distance between him and Melisam. However, Zloe cannot confront all the black wolves alone. Zloe hoped for someone to help him.Slang!Zloe jumped in surprise when a long sword slashed at one of the werewolves before him."Luna!" Zloe cr

Thalius was deeply pained to witness Melisam and Rula's current condition. The girl's whole body was covered in wounds, but there was no sign of crying except for regretting her mother's condition.Melisam had already become an Alpha, as the prophecy had stipulated. Unfortunately, only Thalius could understand the meaning of the prophecy."Is my mother all right?" Melisam asked while glancing at Thalius, who was focused on treating her wound.Melisam sighed. "You don't need to treat my wound," Melisam said. "I think my wound will be healed by itself."Thalius smiled sweetly. "But I should carry out Alpha Rondolf Blackton's instructions.""Did my father tell you to take care of me?" Melisam confirmed what she had just heard.Thalius nodded. "He forced me to come here soon, although I knew you were okay." He laughed lightly.Melisam let out a sigh. She stared at the green field in front of her. Melisam tried hard to calm down. Until now, all the memories of last night were still ringing

"Melisam?"Melisam whipped her head around. She saw Rockley coming towards her with a medium-sized pouch in his hand.Melisam stopped, waiting for Rockley to come closer."What are you carrying?" Melisam asked. He examined the pouch closely. "It looks like some fresh meat," she concluded.Rockley held the pouch out to Melisam. Rockley's head nodded. "You're right. This is deer liver that I got from hunting this early morning."Melisam gave a simple smile. "Thank you, Rockley."The two of them walked on. They walked around the streets of NorthWulf to find a new atmosphere.Rockley was surprised to find Melisam walking calmly while the people around her looked at her suspiciously."I don't know how Alpha Rondolf Blackton solved this problem overnight," Melisam said suddenly. She answered half of the questions Rockley had in mind.Melisam glanced around. "The crowd of people in front of the palace gates dispersed just like that, and I didn't see any rebellion or protest from them this mo
