"It was a disaster; I went to pick up my brother, half dead. Why didn't you tell me the person had some deadly fighting skills?" After a couple of minutes' drive, they arrived at the apartment, and Ragnor led Clara to the living room. She down sat on the sofa, and Ragnor turned on the TV, after which he excused himself. He went to the kitchen and returned holding two glasses and a box of grape juice. He filled both glasses and offered one to her."Cheers to you, my love, for making me the happiest man," Ragnor said and clinked his glass with Clara's.Both took a sip. After a couple of hours, the plane finally landed at Mattala International Airport, and they took a cab to Matara. Mirenda was equally out of the plane and following Ragnor and Clara from a distance. Ragnor noticed her but ignored her again as he didn't see her as a threat. She is human, and hence, if she wants to follow one human into a home of vampires, she is welcome.Clara was feeling excited about coming back home to see George, Emily, and Nyota. It was soon nightfall, and as planned, George carried Nyota, and Ragnor carried Clara, and they flew towards the Immortal City. "They are both safe," Ragnor announced with a smile.With that, Ragnor and Clara survived another day and things went back to normal for a while with Siku and everyone else laying low. The butler did the needful and thanked the medical practitioners who had come with them to see the governor and quickly went to sit behind the wheel. The medical practitioners also sat in their car and they all drove out of the compound towards a different destination. "Quickly drive to the airport," Ragnor instructed the chauffeur and changed back to himself. "Call the airport now and book a flight for me.
