The guys left after a while, claiming they needed to let me rest. Why was everyone suddenly pampering me and stuff? Emily and Bryan I knew could stay over with me for hours till midnight and still wouldn't want to leave. I even almost pleaded with them to stay but they refused, they didn't know and didn't realise that I didn't have much longer time with them. The closer my birthday got, the closer I got to leaving this world forever.I spent the rest of my afternoon and evening alone, sleeping and resting, being pampered by my new "nurse" . Yes that was what was going to be calling her, or could just use her name really or call her doctor Meena. She did work for me.I thought about so many things, for once I let all the thoughts and things that had shoved to the back of my head rise to the surface. I let myself fully think about it. I thought about Commander Jonathan. How he had lied and twisted his way into my life. How he had warmed my heart and made himself the first person to mak

Weeks went by that way. I was slowly regaining all the strength that I had lost and was finally free to resume classes as well as training. Things were okay with all my friends and the commanders, but I couldn't ignore the looming tension or fear that I felt from everyone around me. They were scared for me, afraid of what would happen to me if I went with Hades when he finally came for me. I was petrified as well, unsure and afraid of the unknown. But what could I do? This was my destiny and I needed to face it.I ignored all the tension and worried look, even acted like I couldn't hear the discussions some of my friends sometimes had when I walked away, It wasn't as if I was ignoring that fact or anything, it was just that I wanted to enjoy every second of my time here with them, savour every moment before I could probably be gone forever.I was back to classes learning about stuff as well as training. I was hanging out with my friends and laughing as hard as I could. That was all

The rest of the time spent in the stadium was a blur. I was done and then was immediately escorted back out through the path we had entered through and quickly got into a waiting car, then off we went back to the dormitories."That was quite a speech" said King Jade as he sat beside me in the back.I turned my head from where I had been staring at the passing halls and shops and looked at him."You reminded me of your mother, passionate and strong. She was...really good for your father, even though I wanted her for myself" he said softly."She was the love of his life, but she said had also been mine, although it had never been requited" he added chuckling sadly at the end "How did it...how did everything work out? She was his mate wasn't she?" I asked, confused."Yes she was, and she also loved him back, so I never stood a chance. She was my closest friend, a Beta from one of the lowest families in the country, and at the time I was crown prince. I had a lot of responsibilities and

I opened the door to my room and stepped out. I was very calm, too calm in fact considering what I was about to do. met the gaze of the two dragons that had been shadowing me since I was announced to the world as their legendary Queen.I walked away with them shadowing me as they usually did, and as I did, several of the students in the dorm all came out of their respective rooms and watched me walk past. I walked all the way to the entrance of the dorm where I then stopped and waited for him.Dragon Scott held a briefcase in his hands and I watched him as he approached me. He bowed a little when he got to me then passed me the briefcase. From behind me dragon Luke stepped forward and collected the case before moving back into place."Is he ready?" I asked them as we all stopped forward towards the waiting vehicles.A lot of students and commanders alike were waiting and watching, anxious about what I was about to do. News had spread like wildfire through the academy and the world

"Well what did you expect? You did leave him to be with me afterall" I said as I watched them."We ordered him to be your protector when we couldn't. Not become your pet" said the arrogant Hades again. They wanted me protected? And they thought Cerberus of all demons could do it? was definitely feeling flattered. Big had to concentrate.I looked away from him and looked at the others. I could understand why apathic Hades wasn't speaking, and why lying Hades couldn't as well, but hedonist just stood there with the stupid look on his face, looking sexy and everything. So I had to deal with arrogant Hades all on my own. This was really annoying."I think time for chit chatting is over. We should go somewhere more….comfortable" he replied as he took a step towards me.One second Ceberus was behind me ready and alert, and the next the huge beast's body was falling on the ground, then shortly after his snores reached me as he slept. What the hell had just happened?.There was no time for
