The werewolf spell, the gateway to hell

Early in the morning, I stood at my window lost in thoughts, gazing at the aura of nature as I saw the Ferris wheel in Manko park spinning.

Suddenly my alarm rang, oops! I was late for school I said as I ran into the toilet, in less than six minutes I was already dressed up in my cargo pants and my fur-like black shirt, with my face cap and nose mask.

I took my bag as I hurried to the kitchen, and took a pack of Pringles, remembering I will need to go to the grocery shop during the weekend.

I slammed my door behind me as I greeted Mrs. Tabitha, my next-door neighbor, couldn't hear me, she was listening to memories by Maroon 5.

I have a long walk ahead of me if I am to trek to school. I pulled my school bag tight to myself as I rushed to the bus park.

''Cassie! I turned as I heard my name, mtchewww I hissed, it's Jonathan again, you look like a shredded falcon and your shirt is outdated, get a new one he said.

I started panting when I got off the bus as I saw Jeffery, I knew I was damned and as he saw me, my day was doomed.

I have turned down too many disturbances this morning, getting out of my noisy neighborhood and finally getting on the bus to get here, only for me to get apprehended in front of the school. I didn't even know how to sort this out.

I stood as I watched Jeffery and his friends come close to me. I looked at the gate of my school, run or stay? It was the right time I made my decision, feeble were the ones that ran.

A second later my head hit the wall, followed by a slap as they bounced on me. I heard a few other students run into the school compound leaving me on the floor, as others stood to watch me cry. We all had one thing in common, we are snitches.

I knew this is what Jeffrey liked, subduing his prey in public and making them look useless, he was the king of the school anyways.

"How many times have I told you to lay low when I am in front of you?" Jeffery asked.

They smelt like Hennessy and cocaine, a familiar smell if you've been to the downtown bay, filled with wanted criminals and drug Lords.

Drugs and sex were the major themes if you've been there before, adding to the fact that we were all omegas, then you have an equivalent to what you can offer.

It was normal to them for a student to die from rape, a stray bullet hitting them, or even a drug overdose. This high school was a long continuous torment, I had to inform myself that I came for studies and not to be bullied. Still, with all my efforts the school was like hell to me.

My face was down and my thoughts were rumbling over my head as he snarled at me. "You bitch!" He murmured as he drew his claw over my thigh.

I could feel blood dripping on my white sneakers, this was why I wanted to wear my black sneakers I thought.

I looked at him clearly and blankly not knowing what to mutter, he had already done far more to me than anyone can ever imagine. I was already healing up, as the injury closes up as usual.

"I don't know why I do this to you every day" he laughed profusely as he pulled my head upward letting it rest on his palm.

"I would have slit your miserable throat if I didn't want to be intimate with you. I can see you cut your hair to distract me from you, but I can see your nice curves and I will have them, and then end you later.

This is the last time I am going to tell you what I want and if you don't do it, I'll come to find you wherever you run to.

Even if you report me to the sheriff of this town, I will ruin you in every way that impresses me. You know where the fountain is, I will wait for you along with my friends.

If you sneak away one more time, I promise I will hurt you" he dragged me close to him as he licked the blood coming out from my pimple, looked down on me with his fierce blue eyes, and walked away, his friends after him.

My legs couldn't keep me standing any longer and I fell to the ground. It was always terrible holding myself against Jeffrey and his friends.

Something I was mindful of since I was enrolled in this school was to complete my final year and leave in peace.

I knew the time I succumbed to his threat and gave him what he wanted was the moment I became useless.

I have learned something while in this school, it was the fact that an individual needed to always have something against his foes.

Something that makes you superior over them, if you weren't useful or reliable, then you were fucked, period.

I dusted my pants as I put on my face cap and headed to class. I just had to hang in there, it was barely three months before the big exam I had been preparing for to achieve my gate pass out of this hell called the school, I had to be bold I couldn't give up before then, I wouldn't even allow it to happen, even if I have to pull the trick out of me.

Nothing and no one was more important than my dreams, not even anyone's advice. I walked into hell by myself, knowing there was no other way but to keep moving.

"Spells. We have been at this topic for a month and I would be happy if we concluded it this week. What other name is a spell called in ancient Egypt"? Mr. Gregory was astonished by the character the students portrayed while in class.

Some were sleeping while others were busy pressing their phones. I could have sworn that I saw my classmates kissing.

I knew the answer to the question for sure but that didn't mean I was going to answer the question, just the same way I never answered any questions Mr. Gregory asked.

Ancient history was my favorite subject and I never took it to heart that I was going to fail it. I looked up from my hidden seat and I saw Mr. Gregory gazing at me, we both knew I could answer the question. 

His eyes went dim as he moved on to explain some facts about the spell, he was the only person in the whole school that looked after me. He said I had one of the best chances of getting one of the scholarships in the whole school. Hundreds of people applied every year, but only a few people were selected.

 The winners after the final exams are sponsored into the best university in the country. The sound of the closing bell reminded me that I was in class.

Everybody went out as Jeffrey came tapping my shoulders reminding me of his threat, I held myself together as I saw him diminish before me. It was time I and Mr Gregory discussed my chances of winning the competition.
