ALPHA KING’S POV.I stared at the young lycan, shielding her from my gaze. Even after knowing I was her mate, she refused to move from there." Cassie" She stared at her mom " You need to move from there. You can't stop him from being with her, you know?"" No mom. I'm not trying to stop him, I've had enough drama with mates that the last thing I want is to interfere with one. But this is my friend we are talking about, and I'm not leaving here until she's ready to see him"She glared at me again and I chuckled" I've waited long enough, I think I can wait a little bit more"" But-"" Don't worry, Alpha. I've stopped my men from coming over here and I don't think your daughter will be ready to move unless my mate is ready herself. So the both of you can just go back and wait for her, and I promise that she'll go back immediately my mate decides to see me" I stared at her " Deal?"She rolled her eyes before shrugging " I'm not a fan of intimate scenes, so the minute she allows you to c

CASSANDRA’S POV." Are you sure he won't harm her at all?" I heard my mom say as I walked into the living room" I know he won't. The Alpha King holds his word in high esteem" My dad hugged her" But why isn't she back yet? I mean, it's been hours already" She whined. I rolled my eyes, she can be so dramatic at times" Calm down love, I'm sure she's on her way."" Your most missed has arrived" I said as I walked in to meet themMy mom left my dad's embrace and ran to hug me " My little lycan" Okay, I need to tell them to stop calling me that" Mom, you just saw me like theory minutes ago. Why are you so huggy?" I asked trying to escape her embrace" Shut up! What the hell were you thinking? Challenging the Alpha King like that?" She held me by my shoulders, frowning" One, I wasn't challenging him" Okay maybe I was........a little " Two, I had no idea who the hell he was.......at least up until some minutes ago" I rolled my eyes" Well that's not an excuse. I still don't understand ho

ALDER’S POV.My eyes opened as I looked around, wondering what woke me up.Then the knock came againI rubbed my face with my palm " Who is it?"The door opened to reveal my should-have-been BetaHe smirked, "You look like crap.""What are you doing here?" I asked, surprised that he came to talk to me." Why? Are you scared that I'm here to kill you?" " No, not really. I'm just curious" I laid back on my bed, crossed my hands behind my head and closed my eyes " But if that's what you are here to do, then go on with it. You won't receive any struggle from me."I heard him walk around the room, and I fell back to slumber. He might as well kill me nowI felt the world turn upside down, and I opened my eyes immediately to see my bed turned over as I fell and rolled away from the bed" I was expecting a knife to my chest or something, not this. Are you trying to leave pieces of evidence? That won't do you any good."" If you'll just shut up. I'm not here to kill you, at least not yet. I'm

ALDER’S POV.Two weeks later,After my incident with Jack, I refused to come out of my room except during lunch or when I needed to train which happened to be in the middle of the night because I didn't want to be disturbed by anyone or how people stared at me like I was some pitiful wolfMy parents weren't around as they had to leave the pack for some urgent meeting with the council, all orders came from Jack. He was acting as the Beta in the absence of the AlphaI was throwing heavy punches in the air when the mindlink came through" Alpha!"At first, I thought I misheard it because I wasn't Alpha anymore but then it came again"Alpha!"This time, I paused and stared into space, opening my mind to accept the link" Are you trying to reach me?" I asked shocked" There are rogues at the East border. We need your help"Not bothering to ask for more information, I shifted, allowing Crown to take over and headed straight for the borderI could smell the scent of rogues in the air and I i

JACK’S POV." What do you mean by the shift wasn't made?" I growled" I just received news that they never received any message for the shift"" And why are you just knowing that now? Didn't you confirm it earlier?"" I did, Beta. I mindlinked the boy and he told me that he had informed them." He argued back trying to explainThe chief guard wasn't sloppy in his duties, I knew he would have made sure the shift was made. So there was a mistake somewhere, something just wasn't right." When did the patrol guards leave all the station?"" At exactly 12am. At 11:30pm, I sent the messenger boy to inform the West wing about the shift. So that the patrol guards would be moving in while the East Wing guards would be moving out."I sighed, running my hair through my head. " But what has got you so worked up Beta? I can just ask the West wing guards to make the shift now"" I don't know what happened, but all I know is that the Future Alpha is being attacked at one of the borders"" What!""Th

AMELIA’S POVI worked around the clock, back to back, trying to keep the Future Alpha alive. Being the pack doctor can be very life-consuming at times. The Future Alpha had been poisoned with the wolfsbane through a teeth bite, the rogue that bit him would not have lived after doing this.Normally, he should be dead after six hours, but I must find a way to keep him alive for three days." I need you to inject him with two dosages of Dogaxin per hour. It won't be able to do much, but it can still keep him alive till the Alpha and Luna get here," I said to the attending nurse " You are not to leave his side for any minute. If he moves a finger, you alert me ASAP."" Yes, Doc" She nodded immediatelyI walked out of the hospital, heading for my home. Grandma always had a herb for every werewolf disease. I hoped I could at least find something about wolfsbane in her book I pulled into the driveway, parking my car next to the blue sedan that once belonged to my late grandfatherAfter unl

CASSANDRA’S POV." Cassandra!"I looked up from my food " Yes Dad"" I was finally able to get through to LA" I stopped eating and focused all my attention on him. After Elia left, I decided to apply for LA, Lycan Academy. It was some sort of school for Lycans, where they get trained and groomed. It wasn't the only training school for Lycans but it was the most prestigious. Dad told me that the lycans that graduate from there were the best. But there were procedures to follow, I couldn't apply for the training myself. The Alpha of my pack had to fill in for me and thankfully since my Alpha was my Dad, he had been trying to work it out for me for two weeks now.It was just as hard as it was prestigious to get in. " I was able to speak to the co-ordinator of the training grounds and the Dean of the school affairs"." Aren't they the same?" I asked confused." Not really. One is in charge of the intense training and the other is in charge of the grooming if Lycans in every aspect, espec

JACK’S POV.I walked into the cell, signaling the guards that I wanted to speak to him alone.I stood at the entrance, staring at the rogue. He was sitting on the floor with his head bowed. He had blonde hair with blue eyes and his body stature was close to feminine. He didn't look malnourished but it was evident that he wasn't eating well" What is the first thing you will do immediately I let you go?" He didn't raise his head to answer" I'll look for my sister. I'm sure by now they've heard about the aftermath of the plan and will probably see no use in keeping the them hostage since everyone has died. They could release them or slaughter them all" His shoulder drew tense at the endI nodded silently to myself " If that is all you will do, then it's best you get going" He looked at me with wide eyes " Are you really letting me go?" He cocked his head to the side" Of course" I shrugged" You aren't asking for anything in return?"" I realized we were wasting time on you. You have

Jack's POVIt was night already and my men rounded up the prisoners, clearing the hidden prison and scouting for clues to know the mastermind behind the attack on Alder, while I leaned on a tree watching Valier and Selena play with Vamira.Judging by their age range, I wondered how they survived being a rogue and for how long? But looking at Vamira, it couldn't have been that long. It's possible that their pack had been attacked when Vamira was just born." What are you planning this time?" The Chief guard asked, interrupting my thoughts" Do you know if there's a way to accept the three of them into our pack?" I asked" We just have to follow the rules by asking if they want to or not. The choice is theirs" He explained. " That is the normal procedure we follow whenever we save captive rogues. What I'm asking is if there is a way to enforce them to stay?" " Against their will?"" Especially if it's against their will. Looking at Valuer, he doesn't bend to authority well, hates it e

AMELIA’S POVI opened my eyes and closed them back immediately due to the ray of the sun. Sun? Why is there sun at five am?Sun!I stood up immediately and pulled my curtain to the side. It was morning already, like bright morning, why am I still in bed by this time? I looked around my bed " Where is my goddamn alarm clock?" " It's resting nicely in your wardrobe" I looked up to see Nico" Nico?" I stared at him confusedly" One and only" He leaned on the door post and folded his arms" What are you doing here so early in the morning?" I asked" Might I tell you that it is late in the afternoon?"" What!" My eyes widened " I couldn't have slept that long"" Well you did princess. And not because you wanted to, you needed to" He walked into my bedroom and crouched by my side" What are you talking about?" " You can't remember anything that happened last night?"I looked into space " If there's anything I need to remember after eating that huge amount of pancake last night, then no,
