With his right hand clenched and covered in Sophia's blood, Faelon's heart was shattered. He stared at it with sorrow. Wiping his eyes with his clean hand, Faelon transported himself back to his parent's house. In a gloomy haze, he stood on the porch facing the door. He didn't have a chance to knock before the front door flew open. His mother, sensing a presence, opened it and asked where Dagon was. She stepped to the side as Faelon strode inside."Your father hasn't returned yet. Cora is here and your older brother is no more," she sobbed, following after him. Faelon eyed her grief-stricken state and muttered, "Sophia is gone for now as well and I didn't see father anywhere. I'm sure he is fine as he is a seasoned warrior." Raven eyed him incredulously and huffed."If she's dead then she is gone and Dagon should be back already!" She snapped and headed back toward the living room. Heading to the washroom, Faelon rinsed his mate's blood from his hand. His eyes watered as he watched th

Laying on the full mattress in the dark room, Faelon frowned. He wondered if he could go to hell and search for the missing part of Sophia's soul. He chuckled recalling what Atlas had said of it being in Lucifer's ass."I'm not going to check there," he mused with a snort. Putting his arm above his head he drifted off. Lucifer however was pacing his office with his new right-hand holding a brightly lit marble between his index finger and thumb."Why isn't he coming to retrieve his mate's soul!?" He demanded of the half-demon and elf, called Salis. The elf rolled his eyes in irritation."I cannot predict a male's thoughts, sir," he mumbled under his breath, Lucifer glared at the man. He went behind his desk and placed the marble into a decorative wooden bowl on a shelf with other miniscule items. The marble containing Sophia's soul was lost amongst the items containing the partial souls of several of Lucifer's rivals. Rubbing his eyes and sighing, Lucifer glanced at Salis and grunted.

With a confused look, Sophia asked Faelon who Gian was."He is our son, don't you remember?" Faelon inquired bluntly. She shook her head as Faelon helped her to her feet. Atlas entered the kitchen and Faelon asked him where his son was. The reaper creased his brow and looked at him oddly. Faelon's face fell."Watch her, I have got to visit Lucifer," he growled firmly and vanished. Faelon appeared inside Lucifer's office in a rage."Why did you take Gian from everyone's memories? Where is he even at!?" He snarled bitterly. Clasping his hands before himself, Lucifer grinned."His wolf will care for him and raise him. Unfortunately, he will be a rogue wolf by not having a pack. Perhaps one will find him alone in the woods and care for him?" Lucifer answered cruelly. Faelon was devastated and dropped to his knees before Lucifer's desk."Please, don't do this to my boy. He is innocent and will believe that Sophia and I abandoned him," he sobbed. Rolling his eyes, Lucifer looked at Faelon a

Heading outside, Atlas spied Faelon on the side of the brick building."Hey left hand, I'm shopping with Sophia. Maybe you can join us for dinner tonight?" Atlas offered. Faelon looked quizzical at him."I am here to observe you collecting souls and don't want to interfere with you and your female," Faelon replied bitterly. "Did Lucifer send you when you woke?" Atlas questioned curiously. "No, I woke up in my home and remembered what task he had assigned me and the location of this shitty town," he replied rudely. Cursing colorfully, Atlas side-eyed Faelon and frowned."Sophia Parks isn't my female. She is a newly turned hybrid vamp that needs guidance so Phil and I are helping her. Um, stay here I have to pay for the groceries and will be back in a moment," he mumbled candidly and rushed off. Faelon was fuming and crossed his arms as he watched the reaper go back inside the establishment. He knew the male was called Atlas and felt that they were close acquaintances which was odd si

"Do you have paper and a pen? I feel finding my replacement is a wise way to appease the devil and need to write down possible candidates," Faelon stated as he hugged Sophia. "Shouldn't we find our child first?" She questioned sadly. "If we do that Lucifer would just take him again. If he is safe where he is, it is smarter to leave him there for now," he replied bitterly. Pulling on his hand, Sophia suggested that they go speak with Phil. Salis had returned to Lucifer and the devil glanced at him with narrowed eyes. "Has he vanished again?" Lucifer inquired and Salis nodded. Resting his face into his hands, Lucifer wished Michael was there to speak with. "You did tamper with the terms of the contract you had him sign, boss. Perhaps you should work with Faelon's desires instead of against them. He's much too stubborn to follow your rules," Salis stated bluntly. "He also carries virtuous qualities and would sacrifice himself for his mate and child, he has proven that much already
