Jerry came barreling down the hallway on a skateboard, wobbling out of control and heading straight at them. Heather gasped as the boarder veered off the curb, flying toward her. Swiftly, Antonio stepped forward, pulling her behind him. Jerry clipped his arm with a sharp smack before tumbling into the lockers. Heather clutched Antonio’s sleeve, her heart hammering in fright. “Are you okay?” she asked Antonio, looking at his arm. He winced slightly and glanced down, a scrape bloomed along his forearm, fresh and red. Heather’s eyes locked on the wound. She held her breath. Would it heal? Just like Leonidas.
