Lahat ng Kabanata ng I have waited for you: Kabanata 51 - Kabanata 60

_Meghan When the limousine stopped, we were in front of a beautiful mansion, surrounded by acres of lush green. Neon bugled his pants and tucked his shirt. I rearranged my skirt and tried to look as presentable as I possibly could. My face felt hot and Neon's face was flushed and his hair tussled. I smoothed it for him and gave him a thumbs-up. He gave me one final look before taping on the glass divider. And a few seconds later the door opened. Once I stood on the solid paving, my legs felt shaky and I held onto his hands for support and to catch my breath. The house was breathtaking. "Are you ready?" he asked."For what?" I looked around us. "To see your new home." I looked at him and then the house again. It could have been about ten thousand square feet of exquisite sight. And he said it was all mine. I couldn't help but mentally note that it was bigger than Adelita's house and very modern. All the staff of the mansion were lined up on the stairs leading to the front entra

_MeghanWe made it to st. Petersburg in the early hours of the morning. What a time to visit. The landscape was beautiful, every itch covered in snow. I could not bring myself to go to bed and miss the snowfall. "It's laying it thick," I called out to Neon while still looking outside our window."It will most likely last the whole day. It's a terrible time to be outside right now, I wouldn't wish it on anyone." Neon covered his head with the thick covers. He hadn't gotten out of bed since we arrived, which was unusual for him. He hadn't been as interested in the snow as I was, at least Ethan had shown a bit of interest before sleep took over.Neon said he had seen it snow all his life while growing up. I had seen snow before but it never failed to fascinate me. The week following the purchase of the new house, things moved at the speed of light. Vera called almost every night to confirm when we would be able to visit for a day or two. My only guess was that the family hadn't gotte

_NeonMy head Felt like I had gone under the knife. I couldn't remember the last time I drank so much, except when I was in college and with my uncle, who, not so long ago had sworn to stop drinking. But last night was understandably a happy occasion. I needed to buy Miriam the biggest wedding gift I could find. How she managed to tie down my uncle was a wonder that we would talk about for years to come. I could only imagine his brother's face when he got to st. Petersburg. What I would give to be a fly in the wall when he explained to everyone that he was settling down and starting a family of his own. I knew my father would be proud of him. As for my other Uncles, that is another story on its own. If they can get over the shock first. I knew for a fact that they were going to tease him about it for all that he was worth. "Still leaking your wounds?" Meghan kicked my leg when she passed me on the couch. "What do they say about kicking a dog when it's down?" I lifted my shades and

_Neon I was officially back at the office for the first time after a long time. I parked my car at the underground parking and took a lift to the last floor. When the doors opened, I felt like I'd come home. The layout of the place was still the same. Not much had changed in that regard. But most of the faces were new, including my assistant, who looked like she was ready to bolt the minute she saw me. god, bless his little creatures. "Good Morning," I called out when I passed her desk "Good morning, Mr. Petrov," she replied with a bold voice for someone of her small stature. I couldn't remember her name, it must have been between Maggie and Mandy, but I remember thinking it was close to Meghan. I had to look it up, I didn't like not knowing someone's name. Someone as important as my assistant. Before I could settle down my phone rang."Yes?" I said to the receiver. "A Miss Dowels is here to see, sir. She doesn't have an appointment and she says she not leaving until you see he

_Neon Three weeks flew past fast, and it was already time to go to Ludovic's wedding. We were leaving this evening and I was still at the office going through the last batch of work when the phone rang, reminding me that I needed to get a move on.I took the elevator down to the basement. I was busier than I'd ever been. To make matters worse, I had deadlines I wanted to meet before we started with our wedding preparations, which would start the minute we came back from Ludovic's wedding. But amid the chaos of work and everything, I was happy to report that Boris was doing well in his new environment and with his new nurse. He was joining the family in Russia for the wedding. Nothing was ever without a wrinkle, as Adelita would be in attendance as well. They both had left the previous night. Meghan suggested that we all share a plane. But the thought of enduring a flight to st. Petersburg with Adelita was unthinkable. I was still searching for answers about her wealth and her gener
