Chapter 141

MOSES'S POVMy head tilted, and my eyes furrowed at the scene in front of me in confusion. Seeing the creature, who I knew would be a dragon, massaging my mate's legs made me angry.I raised my hand to take Matilda off his lap, but he stepped my hand away, even before I could touch her, and my wolf growled. Why was this dragon denying me access to my mate? How did she even find herself lying on his lap in the first place?"Who are you?" I asked him angrily, my jaw clenched. All I got in return was a straight face, and he did not bother answering my question. It was Eva who answered my question, seeing how distorted I looked."He was the one who helped us fight off Alpha Derek's vampires after Matilda passed out while trying to heal my wound." She explained, and I rolled my eyes.It was not as if I couldn't do that for my mate, but she chose not to tell me, and I sensed Bax smirking at me."Because she knows how stupid you are," Bax replied sarcastically," but I chose to ignore him.I

MOSES'S POVMy heart sank and almost dropped out of my chest when I heard Matilda say that."What do you mean you would not give me a second chance? Is it because of this man?" I asked, pointing at the dragon, and Matilda scoffed."Or is it because of Sara? I swear, I had no idea how she got to our chamber that night you were in the pack hospital. Please believe me and give me another chance, Matilda." I pleaded seriously, but her face remained stone cold."Why not continue with so-called Sara?" The dragon chipped in. "And let me have this beautiful werewolf; she would do well in my kingdom."I got even more angry with the dragon for always getting involved."Shut up." I shouted at him, "Don't get yourself involved in family matters, especially when it does not concern you." I barked at him."It concerns me now since I am already in Matilda's life, and I take it upon myself as a responsibility to make her happy. And I doubt if she would be able to find happiness with you when you are

The Luna ceremony was finally going to be held today. And it was made even more splendid and beautiful than it had earlier been planned. The pack was filled with so many important people from different packs. The pack was filled to the brim with people of different statuses. The workers in the pack were even allowed to come for the ceremony.I was sitting in my room and being attended to by the make-up artist. Eva was by my side and asked the makeup artist to be fast."You have to be fast; the ceremony has started, and they will be waiting for Matilda there by now."Just like the color of my wolf, I wore a silver-colored dress and matched it with a black heel.Eva had chosen the color of the dress."This would suit perfectly for the occasion, and it's even the color of your wolf, and that makes it even more perfect."She had said the day that she had ch

MATILDA'S POVThree weeks had passed since the Luna ceremony, and everything was going smoothly in the pack. Everyone was happy to have me as their Luna.Alpha Moses and I always pay frequent visits to grandmother's chamber.I suddenly started having some weird feelings inside me; sometimes I would fall asleep earlier than I usually did and even wake up later than I was supposed to.That morning, Alpha Moses and I visited my grandmother together as usual."You don't look okay, Matilda. What symptoms are you having lately?""Apart from the fact that I feel weak sometimes and a little bit nauseated, I am perfectly okay," I answered, wondering how she was able to notice I wasn't feeling fine."You should never ignore signs like that, my dear." She said to me, "You and Moses should go to the pack hospital after you leave here to check what the causes of the symptoms are." She said that, and we both nodded. After we left Grandma's place, I and Alpha Moses walked to the pack's hospital toge

A lot happened in Matilda's life, but it's also okay to say that those things that happened to her played some roles in making her into a better person and in shaping her into who she is.For example, her parents sending her to the human city gave her a human best friend, Kelvin, who was still her best friend at the moment."I don't know what I would have done with my life if Kelvin had not come into my life." Matilda would always say:Then, alpha Moses, her parents forced her to marry Alpha Moses because they wanted to protect Hilda.Although she had suffered in his arms, he was the best thing that had ever happened to her.Not just that, she ended up not just being the Luna of the most feared pack, but one of the most feared people. She probably would not have gone this far if not for her determination as a result of how her parents had treated her.Matilda reminisced on the past events of her life as she got ready for training that morning. She had been in charge of the female warri
