Belinda slowly opened her eyes as the sun's hot rays touched her face. She winced, feeling a throbbing pain at the back of her head as she tried to shield herself from the sun. Using her hand to block the rays, she fully opened her eyes and surveyed her surroundings as she sat up.She found herself in an isolated place, far away from civilization. The events of the previous night rushed back to her instantly—the night she was forcefully expelled from the palace, treated like an unwanted stray. Her eyes welled up with tears, and a surge of emotions overcame her. She held the back of her aching head and struggled to stand up, leaning against the tree beside her for support. As she rose to her feet, she instinctively placed her palm over her belly, feeling through the fabric of her garment. Through tearful eyes, she murmured, "I won't give up on you, my love. No matter what they try, I'll protect you. We'll be reunited with your father, and we'll find happiness once again."Beside her, t

Belinda’s eyes slowly opened as she felt the hot sun rays hit her face. She moaned as her consciousness caused a throbbing pain around her neck. “She’s awake! She’s awake!” The loud voice pierced her ears like they were going to destroy her eardrums. “Argh.” She groaned, covering her ears tightly with her hands. She slowly opened her eyes, and with her blurry vision, she tried to recognize where she laid. The last thing she remembered was somebody trying to strangle her to death on a rock, in the woods. “Where am I?” The question came in her head as she reached for her neck, slowly running her fingers through it. But then she found out that something was tied round her neck too. She creased her eyebrows, touching the bandage around her neck and finally looked up to see two women staring at her. One of them looked very young, while the other woman was pretty old. “How are you, dear?” The elderly woman asked, and Belinda furrowed her brows. They didn’t seem familiar to her. “Wher

~Six Months Later~ While Belinda sat in her room, rubbing her big belly bump, Clara rushed into her room. The loud noise caused Belinda to jolt and turn to the door. “Belinda!” Clara called, panting seriously. Belinda hastily stood up in fear and approached her. “What’s wrong, Clara? What’s happening?” She asked fearfully. “I… I have bad news! And there are two of them. But one of them is very urgent! We need to get out of here, right now!” She uttered, causing Belinda to shake her head. “Why? Talk to me? Where is Agatha? And everyone?” “Agatha sent me to you, and told me to take you somewhere sef. Cephas’ pack has found us, and there is going to be a war soon. Though we would defeat them, we need to keep you safe.” She uttered, rushing to Belinda’s closet and picking a big jacket and wrapper. “But I don’t want to leave. Nothing is going to happen to me. What if Cephas dies in the process? I don’t want to leave without watching him get the death he deserves.” Belinda answered.

Everyone gathered in the large hall, and in front of them stood the Monk, Damon and Maisie. The Priest read out words from the scroll to repeat. Maisie was the happiest woman on earth, while Damon on the other hand couldn’t stop worrying about why Megan was yet to get to his marriage ceremony. Damon never felt any surge of happiness, but he just had to do it for his parents, the king and queen. “We promise in front of every kind of us present today, to cherish our bond and love each other till eternity.” The monk uttered, waiting for them to repeat these words. Maisie opened her mouth to speak, but realized that Damon was being hesitant again. All the words they were asked to repeat seemed like a burden to him. It was more like he was forced to say these words. She didn’t care, because what she had always wanted was right before her now, and there was no turning back. “Please repeat after me.” Damon heard the voice of the monk from a distance, throwing him back to reality once m
