Olivia pushed against him, in half-hearted resistance. It was futile anyway because Titan was as strong as an oak. He barely staggered back. Instead, he drew her closer, running his hands over her back, and chest, and caressing her hair. His fingers roamed through her bare skin until they found her buttons. He unhooked them slowly and fingered her nipples. She found herself moaning. He moved from kissing her lips to her neck and she found herself closing her eyes, relishing the sensations, and clutching the back of his head. Olivia had a happy dream. She had a hard time waking up to face reality because she wanted to keep savoring the sweetness of her alternate world. Finally, when her eyes fluttered open, she was reminded once again that she was in Titan's room. And from the look of things, he had not come back to sleep last night. Dinner the following night was a quiet affair. Yet the shadow of the brutal killing that had occurred at night stalked the atmosphere, making it difficult for anyone to talk or concentrate on anything else.
