They stepped onto a grassy field, she didn’t feel a fear of all the other wolves around, she didn’t feel they would know she’s weak… because she no longer felt weak. Klara awoke to a hand over her mouth. She wriggled, “Shh Sweetie don’t want to wake up the King,” a voice breathed into her ear so low she only just heard it. She knew that voice. Bile rose in her throat. “Ah, don’t even think about it.” He grabbed her hand that was sliding to prod Marc. She looked around, tears pricking at her eyes. Marc hadn’t gained any information from the reports, and the meetings with the guards had drawn a blank.
