After crying to her heart’s content, Devon finally released Alice from the tight hug. Alice felt a lot better now. Devon sat down beside her without uttering a word. They sat in comfortable silence. After a few minutes, Alice broke the silence. “Thank you” her voice came out a little hoarse.Devon smiled a little, but didn’t reply to her words. “You know you can’t stay here, it isn’t safe for you here” He gazed at her to check her reaction. She looked tired and a little defeated.“I know,” she said simply. How could she stay? She felt ashamed that she didn’t have anyone she could ask for help. But deep down, she knew it was a good thing. She didn’t want anyone to get hurt because of her.“I know you are confused about everything that is happening,” Devon started. “But I want to assure you, I don’t have any intentions. I just want you to be safe,” He continued.Alice turned and gazed at him. “Why would you want me safe? I’m a stranger to you. You could get hurt by him because of me”.

Alice turned and was stunned.. She saw the most beautiful woman she had ever seen. Her long blond hair fell gracefully behind her back, that reached her waist level. The gorgeous lady had deep blue eyes that were captivating. It reminded Alice of someone. She also was wearing a stunning red dress that hugged her body in the right places.“The blue ones look more beautiful to me. My best color is actually blue,” the woman continued, as she walked closer to where Alice was standing in awe.Alice looked at her, nervously. She had no idea who the lady was, but she knew for a fact that she was gorgeous. She looked like a celebrity.“You must be Alice. I’m Lilac Devon’s sister” The beautiful woman stretched her hand out for a handshake.Devon sister? Alice eyes became a little wide with surprise, she didn't imagine meeting his family now. What was she thinking, of course he lived in this big house in his family. she thought. Would they find it uncomfortable if she stayed here? She wondered.

At dinner time, Devon, Alice, and Lilac sat at the big dinner table. It could accommodate at least fifteen people. It felt a bit empty with just three of them sitting down. The omegas who served the food couldn’t help but glance at Alice when they walked in to set the table. The piercing gaze made Alice uncomfortable. She hung her head low, avoiding eye contact with the curious people. Finally, the dinner table was left with only the three of them. A man stood a few steps behind Devon. Lilac was on her way out of the house when she saw Kace running up the stairs. “Kace!, what’s chasing you?” She yelled after him but got no answer. She sighed, turning to leave it, but stopped in her tracks.What if something was going on? She thought. She turned around and went grumpily up the stairs.“Just a simple answer would do, but no.
