After crying to her heart’s content, Devon finally released Alice from the tight hug. Alice felt a lot better now. Devon sat down beside her without uttering a word. They sat in comfortable silence. After a few minutes, Alice broke the silence. “Thank you” her voice came out a little hoarse.Devon smiled a little, but didn’t reply to her words. “You know you can’t stay here, it isn’t safe for you here” He gazed at her to check her reaction. She looked tired and a little defeated.“I know,” she said simply. How could she stay? She felt ashamed that she didn’t have anyone she could ask for help. But deep down, she knew it was a good thing. She didn’t want anyone to get hurt because of her.“I know you are confused about everything that is happening,” Devon started. “But I want to assure you, I don’t have any intentions. Alice turned and was stunned.. She saw the most beautiful woman she had ever seen. Her long blond hair fell gracefully behind her back, that reached her waist level. The gorgeous lady had deep blue eyes that were captivating. It reminded Alice of someone. She also was wearing a stunning red dress that hugged her body in the right places.“The blue ones look more beautiful to me. My best color is actually blue,” the woman continued, as she walked closer to where Alice was standing in awe.Alice looked at her, nervously. She had no idea who the lady was, but she knew for a fact that she was gorgeous. She looked like a celebrity.“You must be Alice. At dinner time, Devon, Alice, and Lilac sat at the big dinner table. It could accommodate at least fifteen people. It felt a bit empty with just three of them sitting down. Lilac was on her way out of the house when she saw Kace running up the stairs. “Kace!, what’s chasing you?” She yelled after him but got no answer.
