The door creaked open. I turned , breath caught halfway in my chest like it forgot how to work. And then she was there. Naya. Pale. Wrapped in a thin cloak that didn’t belong to her. Hair a little tangled, lips dry, eyes darker than I remembered, too dark. But it was her. Alive. Standing. Barely.
