50 Kapitel

20.1-Worried

Lorcan “We should give them privacy,” Xim states with a hand on my shoulder. Standing at the bathroom door, I can almost hear what’s being discussed, but he’s right. I huff in frustration, being so concerned for our Luna. My possessive nature will undoubtedly come out more with Imagyn. I will have to keep that in check. “Come, let’s sit and brood as men do,” I say, trying to be more composed. I cross the room to the sitting area, and Xim joins. “Yes, My Alpha,” Xim sounds heavy with grief. I can’t blame him. He has known Imagyn the longest. Xim’s proclamation of love to her was heartwarming to watch. He genuinely cares for her. We all do. I wish we could be with her now. “Do you think she will be all right?” Xim’s somber tone cuts me deep. “I hope she will,” I say truthfully, “We will know something soon, I’m sure.” It’s not a lie, even though I have no idea what’s going on. 20.2-Worried

Xim “Let me keep you warm, my love,” I took her in my arms. It’s surreal that she is finally mine. Holding Imagyn on the bed, I rub her drying the water, speckling her body. She swoons at my touch and leans into me. The flower petals in her wet hair smell divine, picking up her scent and Kimarhi’s. I’m overwhelmed by her being so close. Her exposed shoulders tempt me to lean forward and pepper them with light kisses. She moans in delight, and I watch a wave of bumps spread across her freckled skin. In the past, I could never make the first move with Imagyn. Not once did I push or tell her how I felt. I always allowed her to lead, but now everything has changed. These sensational sparks, I feel with her, are driving me to do more. All I want to do is touch her. For months I dreamt of this. Her arms wrap around my neck. I don’t fight as she lures me in. Anya - Evening of Summit Day Two “I do hope Imagyn will be all right,” Morgan says, biting his fingernail. “He’s been repeating himself since it happened,” I point out. Tavers’ usual calm demeanor is also slipping. He’s on his third cup of tea as he paces Pride Council. I can see he is deep in thought as he strides. Morgan mumbles again, and I lightly touch his hand to try and calm him. “I’m sure she was simply overwhelmed by everything, Morgan,” I assure him, “None of this is your fault. You did nothing wrong.” “There is no mistaking it is meant to be,” Tavers says over me. He pauses for a moment. As it looks like he will finally sit, he turns away from the chair and moves again. I want to bake something to assail my nerves. “Imyagyn is Kimarhi’s third,” Tavers proclaims, “We have to talk with them.” “And we will, but not yet,” I shake my head, “Give them some time to process all of this.” Morgan slumps his posture more. “You must calm down, you old fool,” I pat his back. “I

21.2-Patience

The Watcher - Evening of Summit Day Two I couldn’t follow my Queen today, having my own issues to deal with. I have had enough of all the praise the people have given since the battle. A few like-minded thinkers may be able to sate my anger. My evening stroll brings me back to another shoreside gathering. I join the campfire. My last visit was tense, and I noticed a significant change in the atmosphere tonight. “Can you believe he did that?” a young Lion warrior says in awe, “Right in the middle of battle? Shifting between each kill to bark commands.” “Yeah, that was different and quite brave for our King,” an older man chuckles. “The Queen even relayed through the link to reinforce his decisions,” This warrior has his arm in a sling. As I look around, I notice a few of them with treated injuries. To my surprise, one of my potential recruits jumps up with an enthusiastic smile, “Did you see when he slashed that one Wolf almost in two?” he mimics the motions from the battle scene.

22.1-Ceremony

Kimarhi - Day Three of The Summit I wake up to the most wonderful scent of sweet air, rain, and thick musk. Within this bed lay the three most beautiful creatures I have ever met. I can’t help but stare at them lying next to me. Lorcan, my bold King, handsome and forceful. Xim, my soothing snake, is adorably shy—and Imagyn, my Luna and beautiful bird, sweetly innocent and magical. Unable to contain my joy, I wake them each with a kiss. “Good morning, my loves,” I say, kissing each of them. “That was the best sleep I have ever had,” Imagyn hums. After eating a quick breakfast in bed, we all rise to greet our guards. Magnus and Rieka joined us this morning and met Imagyn and Xim. They hit it off, and Rieka helped us dress for the day. “The ceremony will be starting soon. Is everyone ready?” I asked nervously while surveying the room. My gorgeous mates look good enough to eat. 22.2-Ceremony

I have no words while we walk through the village to the clan house. The land is beautifully decorated, but my mood sees it as dull and drab. How could this day of joy turn sour so quickly? I can feel Lorcan’s fury waving from my side. I reach out to him, realizing I’m not holding his hand. Xim and Imagyn are close behind, arms around each other in a cuddling walk. At least they aren’t too upset. We enter the pride council room, where Tavers waits in his usual chair. He looks concerned, “My Queen and My King, I’m sorry that this situation has befallen our clan on a wonderful day. I’m ashamed of Dorian’s actions,” he says sincerely with a bow. Saying his name makes Lorcan strain against me towards Tavers. I push back gently and shake my head at him. ‘It’s ok, my love,’ remembering I can pride link them now, I reach out to Imagyn and Xim. ‘My Loves, will you help me calm Lorcan? I fear my touch is not helping, as I am too angry.’ When I focus again, I see Imagyn approaching Lorcan, t

23.Anger

Xim The issue in the arena baffles me as we head to see Sir Tavers. Imagyn grips me the whole way. She’s tense as we feel the irritation swimming from Lorcan and Kimarhi. I have never seen them this angry before, and it worries me. Upon arriving at Pride Council, there is a pliable silence as we wait. When I heard Kimarhi’s voice in my head for the first time. I shivered from head to toe; it was so lovely. Her sweet words make me realize I haven’t had anyone in my head in a while, not even Imagyn. I respond in kind, letting her know I Love her despite the tension. Imagyn looks eager to help, so I release her. She escorts Lorcan to us. He has a sneer that can only be described as pissed off. But our Luna guides him skillfully. ‘My Serpent, will you massage his shoulders,’ Imagyn asks through the link. ‘Yes, My love, anything for our King,’ and end the link. Helping Lorcan relax makes me feel strong and confident. He leans into my touch as Imagyn hums. She’s soothing him well that

24.1-Apologies

Lorcan My purring lioness knew what I needed at that moment, and I loved her so much for it. The sexual tension has been thick since meeting Imagyn. We said we would wait. Imagyn holds the back of my head like it’s fragile. She softly hums, running her fingers through my hair. Her touch is soothing, and she is too kind to me. “My loving Wolf, it just tickles,” she says sweetly, “and it feels much better now. Thank you, Lorcan.” My heart flutters as she says my name. I kiss her thighs again, and the bruises lighten. I continue to touch her skin, and they are barely visible anymore. I’m amazed by this mate bond and her healing. “My Serpent,” she calls over her shoulder. Xim comes up behind her, kissing her with care. I am in awe of them both. “My Alpha, stand up!” he says, not looking at me but at Imagyn. I do so in a hurry not to anger him more. I am met by their longing but firm gazes. I could smell Imagyn clearly, but Xim’s scent was still faint. “NEVER, again, will you bruise her skin!” He bellows, making me bow my head.
