There was two seconds of silence as Sera and Amelia just stared down at the shattered glass on the door. The picture itself was fine, but the frame around it was shattered beyond repair. Something about it felt like a bad omen. Like a warning, but before Sera had time to think about it. Amelia squatted down and started trying to gather the broken glass. “Oh my goodness! I’m so so sorry Sera, I didn’t mean too. I was startled. I swear it wasn’t intentional!” Amelia babbled as she tried to quickly gather the broken glass. Watching Amelia using her vulnerable hands to gather the glass finally snapped Sera back to reality. “Stop Amelia! You’ll hurt yourself!” Sera screamed but she was already too late because at that same time a shard of glass pierced through Amelia’s skin causing her to scream and jump back up in pain. “Owwww… it really hurts!” Amelia shrieked with tears in her eyes. Sera rushed forward and gently held Amelia’s injured hand. “Shh Shh calm down, let me see.” She coo

If he leaned any lower, his lips would capture hers, or if she lifted herself just a little bit, he could have his tongue in her soft willing mouth. He inhaled deeply and his vision swam. And for a second he thought.“She’s going to kiss me.”Amelia blinked her eyes up at him. Then unexpectedly, she stepped back and put distance between them.“I’m okay now, thank you. We should probably start eating now, the food is going to get cold.” She said.Lucas blinked as he just snapped out of a trance. “What?.... oh right the food.” He said before clearing his throat in embarrassment. What just happened? Did he really think she was going to kiss him? Did he want her to? Was she really the one that separated them? His thoughts where swirling in a chaotic storm in his mind.“Try the porridge, I made it how you like it.” Amelia said, snapping him out of his thoughts. He handed her the plate and she served him a nice amount of food.He tasted it and truly it was Delicious, but he just couldn'

She rolled her eyes at him. “whatever” she said. Then she got up and went into the bathroom to clean up. It gave him some time to think and reflect on their plan. Everything had to go smoothly, everything had to be perfect, because he had invested so much to bring this plan To life. From Cameras, to expensive poison, to the cloning of her exact scent. He had invested wayyy too much to not win. At that moment Amelia returned from the restroom and got back in bed with him. “So what's the next step in our plan?” she asked him. “Did she take the poison?” He asked. “Yes she did…. Gulped it right down with her porridge.” “Are you absolutely sure?” He prodded, there could be no mistakes in their plans. If they even made the slightest mistake, both he and Amelia could end up in a ditch somewhere with their throats ripped out. “Oh come on…. don't you trust me? Of course I made sure she took it. I literally sat at her bedside until she swallowed enough of the poison.” “Really?” “Yup… o

When Amelia released that ear piercing scream, Sera saw red.“Hey! Let go of her! Don’t fucking touch her or I swear to the Goddess I’ll make you regret this moment for the rest of your fucking life!” Sera yelled at the man ferociously. The man immediately released Amelia, causing her to stumble behind Sera for cover. The leader with the nasty scar flared at the man… “Fucking pussy!” He sneered. And the man hung his head in shame.“Sorry Ralph.” He mumbled sheepishly. The leader— Ralph ignored him and turned to glare down at Sera. “My man might be a scared little baby but I can assure you Luna… I am not. Get off this property right now if you value your life!”Sera stepped up until she was toe to toe with the scary looking leader. Then she smirked.“Oh big bad Ralph… you don’t scare me. You’re all back and no bite. You won’t do Jack shit!”Ralph threw his head back and barked out a a laugh. “Is this a prank or what?! Because I know you can’t be serious!” He turned to look at Amelia.

“You have your mother's eyes.” he said. What? He knew her mother? Since her parents passing, Sera had never met any person who claimed or admitted to be close to her family. In fact, everyone who actually knew and worked with her parents before their murder, stayed the hell away from her, because no one wanted her curse and bad luck to rub off on them. What even made matters worse was that Sera barely had any memory of people and events that happened before the attack on her family. It was as if the horror of that night had put a mental block in her brain which either erased or stopped her from accessing her earlier memories.Carlos continued to stare at her intently while she tried to gather her thoughts and composure.“You knew my mother?” She finally asked. He gave a small sad smile. “I knew your parents, and you, in fact, I carried you with these same hands when you were little. You used to love when I swung in my arms whenever I visited.Sera was really struggling with her
