Bella's Pov I knew that I would've been smarter had I went to a normal school. I always begged my mother to let me be normal. I had deserved to have friends but she refused. I was required to be homeschooled. She insisted that I could not trust anyone because all they would want is the power that I held. She never missed a moment to tell me how easy someone could deceive me. "You know it's never too late to take back your life. Fix what your mother broke." Lucas whispered near my ear causing me to shiver from the way his breath tickled the back of my ear. "What, what are you doing?" I stuttered as my waist was grabbed and I was pulled back into his firm chest. "Talking to you." He whispered near my ear. The intoxicating scent of his cologne almost had me relaxing into him. Luckily my resolve was stronger than his seduction. "I don't want to talk. You need to leave now." I demanded sternly. "You can go to school and experience all of the moments your mother stole from you."

Bella's Pov (5 months later) Tears streamed down my face as I stared at the door that was stuck. No matter what I did I couldn't figure out how to open it. I had pulled on what I assumed was the door handle but it did nothing even though I had pulled on it with all of my strength. I was starting to question if it was actually a door. I had woken up without any memories and if not for me somehow knowing words I would've been lost. I had spent a long time saying words out loud and putting them together. Now I was questioning if I was even saying the right words. I sat back down on the bed and stared at the door. It had to be a door. Bella’s Pov (2 weeks later) “Bella are you listening?” The doctor that my father hired asked. I looked over at the card that he was holding and frowned. “That’s a car.” I mumbled as I looked at the picture that looked exactly like the black car my father drove us around in. The doctor gave a slight nod as he set the card down and pulled out another one. My chest tightened as a picture of some type of animal came up. Why were there so many animals? “It’s a raccoon.” I stated not really sure if I was right. I mean it looked like it could be a big raccoon. He narrowed his eyes at me as he reached over to the alphabetical picture box he had. Bella’s POV (one month later)“I don’t think I’m dressed for this.” I said lightly as we walked through the dimly lit restaurant. The simple pink dress that Lucas picked out for me to wear didn’t seem like it was appropriate. It was lose fitting and had big white buttons going up the front of it. It looked more like something I would wear to the mall maybe, not a fancy restaurant. “I think you look ravishing.” Lucas said as he pulled out my chair.
