Today is the day we're supposed to meet Blair again, I'm pretty nervous. I don't really know what this will entail and I wonder if she'll be able to lift the barrier spell and if it will hurt. Sophie suggested that I had witch genes, thinking maybe it skipped a couple generations on one of my parents' sides. It didn't feel right, but it was possible.I didn't tell Sophie about my escapades with Roman, she knows I'm seeing someone though. It didn't feel like the right time and I wouldn't ask her to keep anything else from her mate. She was already hiding my location from Gamma Colton, who would definitely tell Felix anything he knew about me.She did tell me though that Felix has been a complete ass, taking all his anger out on the pack members and getting drunk all the time. Serves the dickhead right. Tamisra snarls at my thought of him, she was out for blood. If I ever saw him again, I'd let her take over and do her worst. As I finish up training with Seth and Beta Aston, I see Ro

I sit down on the cushion with my legs crossed while Amara does as Blair instructed her. I think I'm more nervous than she is. When I asked Blair if my magic would help, she said I could try if she failed but I haven't had the right opening to talk with Amara about my demon side. I don't know how she'll react, but hopefully she won't run away screaming."Don't break the salt circle when you're holding her down or you'll fuck everything up. Hear me, Alpha?" Blair says pointing at me. She's the only one allowed to talk to me as such, other than Amara, but it's just who she is. She's been like my second mother, so I'll never get angry with her."Yes ma'am" I responded. I watch as she turns off any lights, closes the curtains, lights candles and takes out several jars from a cabinet. She mixes them all in a mortar and pestle before getting up and approaching us with the concoction in her hand."Hold her down now, Alpha" she says seriouslyI do as I'm told, putting my

I wake up to Roman's alarm, groaning when I realize I have to get up with him too. Today was my first day working in his office, and Gamma Max will be waiting for me to show me what to do. It's just scanning and filing, so hopefully he doesn't need to stick around too long. I liked Gamma Max, but I did not want to be around anyone today. I even thought about going back over to my room, but I would just miss Roman anyways, considering I haven't spent a night on this territory without him since the first day.I was shocked when he told me he was part demon, but it made me feel better about my own possible demon genes. Now that I had time to think about it and accept it, it really wasn't that bad. I don't know who or where in my family the genes came from, but I was relieved to hear it could skip generations, I was worried my mom had cheated on my dad or something. But she wouldn't do that, so it must have just skipped a couple of us."You can come to the office a little late

I'm surprised at how packed these clubs are, it's not even 6pm yet. Violet says this club is poppin' at all hours of the day. When we walk in, we go straight up to the bar and order our drinks. Gemma gets a vodka cran, Violet a jack and coke while I go for a gin and tonic. We throw back 3 rounds before taking our 4th out to the dance floor.Violet is grinding her ass on me when I hear a terrifying growl and she's ripped away from me. I look up and see an absolutely delicious, ripped woman with a short faded hair cut. I put my hands up in surrender when I realize what's happening."MINE" she booms at me"Don't worry I'm boning her brother. She's all yours" I say as I look at Violet who's staring at me wide eyed. I laugh at her shocked expression, and when she looks up into her mates eyes I swear I can physically see the bond snap into place. She wastes no time in turning around and jumping into the girls arms, legs around her waist showing off her buttcheeks. Th

I'm sitting at my desk, filling out paperwork as per usual while Amara has her music playing so she can concentrate on filing her papers. I don't get much work done on these days, because I'm too busy watching her as she swings her head and her hips to whatever song she is playing, or whatever song is stuck in her head. She's been working here with me for about 3 weeks now. I steal another glance at her as she sings along to the song she's playing.'Uh, Alpha we have a problem' my border patrol links me and I'm up in an instant walking outside."Amara, go find Aston." I tell her coldly and she just looks at me, confused"Why? What's wrong?""Something with the borders, I don't want you out here if there's a breach. You're not fully trained. Now please, go" I tell her, leaving no room for arguments. She purses her lips, but doesn't argue.'The Beta from Red Moon pack is here demanding entry' my warrior, Becca, tells me. I instantly see red. That fucker has so

Amara never ceases to surprise me, I didn't think she would want to take part in the dickheads torture but here she is. Watching it like she would a commercial for something she actually wants. Although its not full on torture, but he's badly beaten. I need to know what he wanted with Amara and the dickhead won't speak."Speak incubus. Why. Amara. And don't tell me because you could sense her power, I can't even sense it." I snarl at him"Beat me all you want, I'm not saying anything." he says after he spits out blood. Well, guess I'll have to get creative then. I walk over to my weapons and pick a pair of dull scissors. I watch as his eyes widen as I grab his handcuffed hands and put the blades to his pointer finger.'Seth, keep an eye on Amara, it's about to get fun' I mindlink her brother"Would you like to rethink that answer" I say to the dickhead cooly. I can see the feat written all over his face but he doesn't say anything. I won't let anyone see it, but

I wake up with a raging headache and groan. I can see it's dark outside, meaning I slept all day. Which I kind of expected. When I got home yesterday, I had trouble falling asleep without Roman. That, and I simply couldn't turn my mind off. I kept spooking myself into thinking I was being watched by one of the vampires. Have they been watching me this whole time? Just waiting? Waiting for me to become available to snatch me up?I snap myself out of my thoughts and get out of bed before I can freak myself out all over again. Roman's scent is barely in the room, meaning he didn't come to bed either. I sigh. I could really use him right now to calm my anxiety, but I won't bother him. I look at my phone, 8:24pm, ugh. I'm going to be up all night now!I get out of bed to shower but I can't get this whole thing out of my head. Even while I'm standing in the hot water I don't feel relaxed.'Amara, you need to read that letter from mom. It might tell us something' Tamisra tel

I felt it before I heard it. I was finishing up some extra sparring, when the entire ground shook violently, causing all of us to fall on our asses. Then a growl so deep and sinister filled the air, paralyzing everyone except me. I looked around at my warriors frozen and unconscious on the ground, the realization that only a demon's powers could cause this hit me. Amara. Not even a second later I see her jump off her balcony, a black mist carrying her body to the tree line where she shifted into her wolf before she took off on foot at a speed unknown to the creatures of the Earth. I didn't waste any time, calling Adonis and my own demon powers forth. I took off after her.Even in my demon-wolf form I couldn't catch up to her. She ran straight through trees, boulders, and foliage, turning them all into dust in her wake. I could feel my ears start to bleed as she let out howl after howl of pure agony and hatred. Though, the pain in my head was nothing compared to the pain

Sparks. Intense sparks, dancing across my skin are the first thing to pull me towards consciousness. I slowly start to come to. My sense of smell is the next thing to come back and I'm overwhelmed by lavender and bamboo, like Roman's scent, but a million times more intoxicating and intense. It surrounds me, like I'm bathing in it. As soon as I realize what's happening, my eyes snap open and I shoot up. I must startle Roman because he is immediately wide awake. As soon as my eyes lock with his, the bond snaps into place."Mate." I whisper, my hands trembling for a second. Then I'm instantly overcome with a hunger for him that's so intense, I need him, I will die without him. I jump at him so fast that I barely even realize what I did and smash my lips against his. When he takes control of the kiss, I growl and push him back. I look at him, my eyes clouding over with a black hue"Amara, baby, come back to me" he whispers, running his hand up and down my body, grabbing my bre

I blink my eyes open, no idea how long I had slept for again, but it didn't feel like very long. It took me a second before all the events of yesterday hit me. Overwhelming sadness flooded me, my parents...tears pricked my eyes."Hey hey, it's okay baby" Roman coos, interrupting my thoughts. Oh yeah, I had my walls down. I put them back up and he frowns at me"Put them back down" he says, narrowing his eyes at me."No." I answer coldly. "What time is it?""10am" he says, I nod. I don't remember anything after I was running in the woods up until I woke up before, but I feel different. I felt different when we had sex but I was too distracted to notice. I have a pretty good idea of what happened"I broke the barrier spell?" I ask him and he nods'Tami? How do you feel?''I feel...I don't know. Stronger, but weird, it's like a weird buzzing. It's hard to control, we need to get it under control' I don't respond. Well my brand new dad will come crawlin
