Second Chance Mate のすべてのチャプター: チャプター 61 - チャプター 70

Ethan’s POV I needed to see Ariah, but not with everyone around and watching, privately.I couldn't have another woman but her and the urge in me was becoming intense by the second. I walked into the pack mansion with my hands thrust deep into my pockets and a serious look on my face. I walked up the stairs, straight to Ariah's room and rapped on the door with my knuckles. I knocked impatiently again and she flung open the door. "What is the matter…" Her voice trailed off and her eyes became warm and alert at the same time. "Ethan? What are you doing here?" She asked. "Get dressed, Ariah, wear anything simple, preferably a short dress," I said hoarsely and her confused eyes stared at my intense face. "Is there a problem, Ethan?" She asked worriedly.I shook my head impatiently, "No, don't ask questions now, Ariah, be down in the next twenty minutes." I replied, kissed her on the forehead, then walked to my room. There was no way I could get the privacy I wanted with Ariah here, n

Ariah’s POVI had been sitting comfortably on a couch when the most obscene thing happened.A lady ran down the stairs, she was almost completely naked and she scrambled into her clothes as she ran. I stared at her awkwardly and she stopped when she saw me, then bowed with an embarrassing look and ran out of the house. The first thing that occurred to my mind was how agitated the maid who had welcomed Ethan and I had been, she had probably been trying to cover up for Lowell's sexcapade. I smiled to myself as I sat there. Lowell was such an innocent-looking guy, but he had an insatiable sexual urge, that was the conclusion about him I had come to. About fifteen minutes later, Ethan walked down the stairs and Lowell came down two minutes later. He stared at me, then back at Ethan, and said, "Oh, this is why you tried to stop her from running down the stairs." He said with a grim look and slapped a palm to his forehead. I bowed to him slightly, "Hey Lowell." "Ariah, what a plea

Layla’s POVI was no fool, I knew when a man was in love and when that love wasn't channeled towards me.Ethan was pretty direct with his choice of words and the way he admitted it to me. Although I had the feeling that he would have never told me about it if I hadn't brought it up. That only made me like him more for some reason, as crazy as it sounded, I saw winning Ethan over as a challenge and I was willing to go the extra mile to get him. I had already done the ultimate deed by taking the lives of two people just to get here, so was there any doubt in me that I wouldn't hesitate to kill another? No. I wanted Ethan, whatever I wanted, I got and that was going to be the case with Ethan. I had an idea who the woman he loved was. From the very first day I had set my eyes on her at the feast in my pack, I knew that she was going to be in trouble. And now, although I hadn't confirmed it, I was on to Ariah. Even though it somehow turned out that she wasn't the one he was in love wit

Ariah’s POVOn our way back from the pack office, Lowell had left me with instructions.I was supposed to pack a small box containing clothes that could last me two or three days, it got me wondering how long this particular trip was going to be. "So what's going on then? How long are we supposed to stay there?" I asked. "Roughly three days, deals like this take time because of our diversities." He replied and I stared at him. "What does that mean?" I asked."This is a deal with a werewolf pack, with all that's going on it'll need to be handled very delicately." He replied. "One slip up or even one wrong word will blow everything to pieces, the werewolves are too sensitive." "If it's that risky, then why do it?" I asked then a thought suddenly dropped into my head. They were going back to the werewolf city! "Well, Ethan feels like anything he wants to be done can be done regardless of the ill relationship or you could say the bad blood existing between both cities." He replied. "

Ethan's POV “Let’s call it a night, Layla,” I said as I dropped the knife and fork in my hands, then wiped my lips with a napkin. She looked at me silently, her eyes wide and it was obvious that she wanted something. I sighed within myself and decided to find out what this was about. “What’s the matter?” I asked, staring at her with inquisitive eyes.It was difficult for me to show care to another woman who wasn’t Ariah. Even now, as I looked at Layla's gloomy face, I couldn’t force a caring look into my eyes. “It’s barely nine pm and you’re leaving already?” She asked.I nodded, “I have to, Remember I have a trip to embark on tomorrow so I have to get up early.” I replied. “You can come up later, I’ll be in the shower.” She rolled her eyes, “And who says we can’t be in the same room and at the same time, even when one or both of us are naked?” She asked. I stared at her blankly, “Well…I don’t know, it just feels a little awkward to me.” I replied bluntly and rose to my feet.S
