Chapter 81

Luca let out a sigh, they found her, he just finished speaking with Nicho and they found Maya while she was out clubbing. It was late already and he didn’t want to leave Nora alone in the house neither did he want to drag her out of the house. He told them to hold her until morning when he could get to her. He wanted to be the one to speak to her. As he didn’t want a repeat of what had happened before even though he was sure that there was no way his men could mistake her for someone else. He hoped that she would not give him a hard time because he already promised Nora that he wasn’t going to hurt her but if she didn’t tell him what he wanted to hear, he would not be able to keep the promise he made to Nora and he really wanted to keep that promise. Earlier, when he had walked in on Nora looking so worried, he had feared that something bad had happened until she had told him what happened. He had been relieved that it wasn’t what he had thought. He had sat through her explaining ev

Chapter 82

“Why are you calling me so late? What business do we have that you think you can just call me anytime you want and I will pick up? I told you already that I will find you on my own and deal with you, stop calling me,”Luca said in anger. “Yet, you still have my contact saved, how else would you know it is me if my contact isn’t saved on your phone? Luca, don’t fall in love with me,”The bitch had some nerve to say that shit to him. “Shut your unwashed mouth,” Luca let out. He didn’t want the bitch to make him angry but just hearing her voice was enough to ruin his mood. “Luca, don’t be so worked up, I promise, I am going to let you know why I called, I just wanted to know how my favorite man is doing,”She was trying to provoke him on purpose and he was failing at keeping his emotions in check, she always managed to get under his skin no matter how he tried to not get worked up. every word that comes out of her mouth makes him so mad. “Just tell me why you called me, I am not in

Chapter 83

“You are restless, are you okay, Luca?”Nora asked about thirty minutes later, he thought she was already sleeping but apparently not, he didn’t want to worry so he just patted her shoulders. “Nothing is wrong, just sleep,”He said. “No, Luca, I can’t sleep when it is clear you are restless, does it have anything to do with the call you received earlier? Did something happen?”She questioned and removed herself from his hold. She sat up on the bed and looked at him expectantly. “Nothing happened that you should worry yourself about,”She told her but she shook her head. “If it is nothing, you won’t be so restless, tell me what it is or we are not going back to bed, who called you earlier and why has that call made you so restless?”She questioned. Even though he told himself that he shouldn’t bother her about his problems, he found himself telling her who called. “It that woman,”“And what does she want? Why has her call left you some worried? Did she do something bad again?”She

Chapter 84

After Luca left, Nora tried to go back to sleep but she found herself not being able to fall asleep, when she tired of forcing herself, she gave up and got out of bed, she wanted to walk downstairs to the living room but opt to just seat in the room that served as the upstairs living room as she didn’t want to stress her legs. Even though she could walk without her wheelchair. She felt lazy and just sat on the chair and wheeled herself to the living room, she clapped to turn on the light and picked up the remote, she turned the TV on and reduced the volume to just a whisper, the house felt so empty that at a point, she wished she had just gone with Luca like he had wanted her to but she didn’t want to be a distraction to him and to be honest, she had been a little scared that she might witness something there that might trigger her. She might be healing but she hasn’t forgotten what she experienced and just seeing someone tied, which she assumed Maya would be, might be enough to make

Chapter 85

“Luca left the house earlier and now he sent one of his men to come to get me, I don’t know why but I can’t reach him to confirm and I don’t know if I am doing the right thing, what do you think I should do? You are the only one I could call,”Nora told her. She looked to see if the man was back but she didn’t hear any footstep, she kind of wished that he would not return, she felt safer in the mansion, if only Luca had taken his call, she would not be having all the thought she was having right now and she just had to go call Rose and make her worried too, she regretted calling Rose. “Where is he taking you to and are you sure this man works for Luca? I mean you have to have some doubts for you to be skeptical about following him. Rose asked. “He works for Luca and I have seen him around the mansion a couple of times and he has even spoken to me once when he came to speak to Luca, I just don’t like him, is it weird that I don’t want to leave the mansion with him? Luca and I spoke

Chapter 86

When Luca arrived at the warehouse where Maya was kept, everything seemed normal he had almost turned his car around and driven back to the mansion to be with Nora but he had changed his mind, parked, and gotten out of the car, he was met with a very shock Nicho who by the way, left his phone in the car which was why he couldn’t take his call. As Luca had suspected, that bitch didn’t even know where he had Maya because according to Nicho and his other men present, there hasn’t been any kind of thing that would suggest the place was being watched.Luca couldn’t rob off the feeling that the bitch was up to something and she wanted him out of the house and outside. Luca looked at the crying young girl before him, he hadn’t touched her nor had any of his men but she was crying so much and barely saying anything of interest.“So, are you finally going to stop crying and tell me what I need to hear? I promise you that crying isn’t going to help your case, only you can get yourself out of th

Chapter 87

“Yes, my friend took care of her grandmother a couple of times in the past, I know she calls her mama too,”She revealed. Luca got an idea, this friend of hers could know Claudia, if that’s her real name personally.“This friend of yours, can I get her contact? I need to ask her a few questions,”Even before he finished talking, she was already shaking her head.“Please, don’t make me say anything about my friend, she has been through a lot lately after losing her husband, please don’t drag her into any messy situation, I can’t tell you anything about my friend,”She told him and he decided not to push further, he wasn’t about to be insensitive and drag a widow into his mess.“Okay, fine, I won’t, do you have anything else that might help me find Claudia? I need to find her,”“I don’t know anything else that might help, even my friend didn’t know much about her and she only met her once when she worked for her, she was mostly with her grandmother as none of the two sisters lived here,

Chapter 88

Nora felt lightheaded when she tried to open her eyes, she felt like hell and her body ached all over. She tried to open her eyes but failed to because her eyes were very heavy. She lifted her hands to her face, wondering why she ached all over, the last thing she remembered was…“Oh fuck,”Nora let out as she forced her eyes open as the memories of what had happened to her flooded her head, she didn’t like it at all, she didn’t like what she remembered and wished it was all just a bad dream but when her eyes opened, she realized she had not been dreaming because the room she was in was an unfamiliar room and she was all alone. She didn’t know what happened after that bastard had drugged her and she still felt dizzy, she was sure she slept for a long time for the drug to have wearied off so much, which meant, Luca would already be aware that she was missing and he might be looking for her already. She didn’t know where she was but she could swear that that bitch that Luca was after ha

Chapter 89

“Is that what happened to you? Did you fall into depression after you found out that Luca married someone who is not you? Is that why you decided to kill them? Out of jealousy?”Nora asked. She needed to find out what her motive was and find out if she was Luca’s bitter ex who couldn’t move on and decided to make the life of everyone who got close to him hell, that would make so much sense.“You think a woman like me would fall into depression because of a man? Fuck you bitch, I am nothing like you all male-centered women whose life revolves around a man, I am my own person and no man can make me depressed, I wished that stupid woman had listened to me, she would have been here, she would have been healthy, no, she gave her heart to a heartless man like Luca and I had to watch as her once outgoing and bubbly self, become a version that should never have been born,”Nora could feel the anger in each word that she spoke, she had a lot of questions but she didn’t ask or say anything as

Luca was almost losing his mind, it was eight am, hours after Nora went missing and he still didn’t know where to look for her, he knew for a fact that Carlos took her and that he might be the spy but he couldn’t find out where that fucker took her to and they couldn’t find Carlos either, it was as if he disappeared with her. He couldn’t even sleep a wink throughout the night, they tried tracking the car that Carlos took but it was found on the highway with no sight of Carlos or Nora.Luca had no one to blame but himself, he should have listened to his mind and taken her with him, then, he would not have been here like this now, fearing for what might happen to her, he should have sent her home too.“Stupid,”He cursed and glared at his phone, the fucking woman was calling him, he has been expecting her to call as he already knew it was her that got Carlos to bring Nora, no one else would have done it. Carlos. The things he has found out about Carlos, he wished he knew those things th
