I walked into the restaurant, admiring the beautiful blend of gold and red as I made my way to the front desk. The lady behind the desk looked up as I approached her with a tight-lipped smile.“Good evening Ma’am, do you have a reservation?” She inquired, looking at me briefly before looking down at the system in front of her.“Yeah, I am here to meet William, William Armani. My name is Bailey, Bailey Sim-Armani.” I stammered, it felt weird claiming his last name as mine.“Mrs. Armani, of course. Your table has been set, I’ll get someone to take you there.” She says and I nod. She phones someone with the phone on the table and a moment later, a lady emerges from the door behind her.“Right this way, Mrs. Armani.” She points, walking ahead of me, and taking me to the table.“Here we are Mrs. Armani, I’ll get a waiter to be with you soon. Mr. Armani should be here shortly.” She says and I nod, watching her leave. The lighting was a bit dark, creating an atmosphere of romance and mystery

Bailey’s p.o.v“It was quite expected.” The stranger replies, smiling at me.“Are you also having problems? Is that why you’re here at the beach?”“No, I actually came here with my boyfriend.”“Oh,” I say nodding. “ You can get back to him and enjoy the rest of your night, I’m good.”“He doesn’t mind," he replies, looking down briefly at his phone. “And I can spare a couple of minutes talking.” He says before glancing in the direction where his boyfriend was before turning his attention back to me.“Thanks,” I mutter with a small smile, he nods at me tapping my shoulder.“I’m James.” He introduces himself.“Nice to meet you James, I’m Bailey.”“I have to say, your guy is quite stupid.” He remarks and I shake my head letting out a laugh.“You don’t even know him or what he did to me.”“I don’t need to know and even if I did know the details, I’ll still call him stupid. “Maybe confiding in a stranger would get the pain off my chest“He stood me up,” I confess, looking down at my feet i

I groaned, reluctantly waking up again as the sun rays kissed my face, I buried myself deeper into the bed and covers, breathing in the familiar cologne Iingering around me. I turned to the other side and froze feeling something firm and warm. I open my eyes taking a peek at William’s sleepy face. I lay there staring at him and a smile formed on my face as I remembered the events of this morning. As I rose from the bed, I felt pulled back as I felt a dull ache between my legs, a painful reminder of the intense morning we shared. He certainly wasn't kidding when he said he wasn't a gentleman.I rubbed my face glancing around the room. My eyes landed on the clock that read 3 p.m. Pushing the covers a bit away from me, my hand instinctively covered my mouth to stop a shriek from escaping my lips as the realization hit me, I was naked and so was William in his masculine glory, a wave of nervousness washed through me and I immediately pulled the covers back. Feeling flushed, I turned back

I got bored, so I wandered off and found myself on a basketball court on one of the floors of the building. I walked further in, picking a basketball off the rack.“You play?” I heard William ask and spun around on the ball of my feet, dropping the ball. I picked it back up and looked at him, noticing that he was leaning on the door with his arms folded.“Can you stop acting like a ninja? And to answer your question, no, I don’t play, do you?” I ask and he shrugs, not answering as he walks into the court fully. “It’s a yes or no question.” Still, he doesn’t reply. Instead, he takes the ball from me and throws it, I turn watching as the ball glides into the hoop with such precision.“You’re joking,” I comment with my mouth agape before quickly shutting it. “You never did say anything about basketball, you said you were in a rugby team so how are you good at basketball?” I ask huffing as I walk over to pick up the ball.“I dabbled in a variety of sports but I was only officially on the

By the time I woke up the next day, William had already left for work. I lazily reached for my phone and started scrolling through my contact list searching to find Shayna’s number. Once I found it, I dialed and listened to it ring. She picks up almost immediately. “Oh hey Mrs Armani, so nice of you to finally remember me.” She said sarcastically.I rolled my eyes. “Come on Shay, we texted each other just yesterday.”“Can’t I be dramatic in peace?” She asks rhetorically. “What’s up?”“I’m good, I’m good. What about you? Are you at work?” I ask, hearing ruffling on the other end.“No.”“No?” I repeated feeling baffled. “I don’t understand. Today is Monday, the first day of the week.”“No kidding Einstein, I know my weekdays.” She replies and I could already imagine her rolling her eyes on the other side of the line. “I took a day off.”“Oh, why?” I ask curiously.“Because…….” She drawls with no intention of elaborating.“That's not even a reason,” I reply laughing, she joins in with
