The Arrogant Billionaire’s Contract Wife のすべてのチャプター: チャプター 21 - チャプター 30

“Are you waiting for someone?” Khalid noticed I was still staring at my phone.“No, it’s just Hayley hasn’t called since the last two hours that I had tried her number.” I tossed my phone on the glass table, not caring if the back of it cracked. I could always get another; I could get a thousand phones if I wanted to.“Oh, your fake wife.” He chuckled.“Shut up man, the walls have ears.” I leaned in to whisper to him cautiously.“Relax, we’re daytime drinking. And we’re only like five in the club right now, so you have nothing to worry about.” He assured me and I leaned back calmly into the couch.“So what about Hayley?”“What about her?” I raised my brow in confusion.“I mean the two of you are living together, plus the chick is fine as hell. Don’t tell me you haven’t hit it.” He winked playfully, I tried to put on a straight face but a chuckle escaped my lips.Khalid sure always knew had to get answers out of someone, I definitely couldn’t hide the truth from him. I was going to te

RIELE’S POVI walked into Christian’s Mansion as my driver carried my bags inside. I flung my heels off my feet, that fashionable pain in the ankles, I felt comfort at the coldness of the tiles on my sore feet as I walked towards the bar and poured myself a glass of wine.“Everything is inside now ma’am” My driver, Matthew said as he brought the last box inside.“Thanks a lot, Matthew, Please have a good night.” I smiled and he gave a polite nod before walking out of the house. I approached where I dropped my handbag and searched for my phone, I finally found it and dialed Alexander’s number.“The number you’re trying to call is not available at the moment.” The robotic voice said on the other side of the line. Where the hell is he? We haven’t spoken since I left Manhattan for France, and even when he came to France he didn’t make any attempt to see me.When I saw the news about his fight with Christian, it just brought back so many memories. They didn’t suddenly become like this, nei

CHRISTIAN’S POVMy day was already fucked, from Alexander threatening me, to the issue with Jennifer, I still haven’t found who tried to kill my dad and I don’t even know what I want from Hayley.I find myself being more drawn to her every time I push her away; she thinks that I hate her. I only hate the fact that she reminds me of my mom, but I love the pure innocence in her. She was nothing like Cassidy, Hayley is just too good for me and I’m scared that I’ll taint her. Loving Hayley was never part of the contract, in fact, I never planned to love again after my ex, Caroline left me.I walked into the club, checking the time on my Rolex. I wouldn’t want to miss my mom’s dinner, or else she’d add that to the list of bad things I had done. But I wanted to meet with my friend and business partner, Audrey. He suggested the idea of meeting here, so the atmosphere would be more casual than business, and since I get to drink then it’s fair to me. My eyes scoured the place for Audrey and

CHRISTIAN’S POVSince my press conference, Jennifer hasn’t come out to the media to say anything. The blogs had stepped down from the story a bit, thanks to the connections my mom has with some bloggers and media companies. If Jennifer is still trying to cook up more lies about me then I should use the period to try and stop my brother. Alexander is the one controlling her, but I never done anything to Jennifer ever since she was my secretary. She was even the one who dropped her resignation letter on my table; I wasn’t the one who sent her away.I volunteered to drop Hayley at work today, it was the least I could do to make it up to her after last night. At dinner, I silently watched how she was so engrossed in the story my mom told about my childhood. How she smiled, the way her face radiates when she’s happy. We arrived at New York Publishing, I opened her side of the car for her.“Thanks.” She muttered as she got down and I followed her behind.“Aren’t you supposed to be heading

My eyes narrowed, I couldn’t help but show some of my anger.“Pregnant? Are you even sure of what you are saying? Have you lost your mind, because you think this is some game to you? I’m not a puppet, don’t come at me with cheap lies.”Her laughter sounded like a melody in the café, she was mocking me. This only deepened my irritation. “Oh, Christian, don’t look so surprised. It’s your baby.”I was struggling to maintain my composure as Caroline continued to utter gibberish and filthy nonsense from her mouth. Did she think lying about a baby would make me come back to her? I wasn’t so careless as to let anyone get pregnant for me.Even when we were still together, it was our habit to have sex daily but I gave her pills. I put her on birth control, the contraceptive pills were just for extra safety.“you were on contraceptives Caroline, so don’t bullshit me. I watched you take them every morning because I gave them to you.” I slammed my fists on the table, she quickly looked around in
