A new beginning
Eve's POV Adam drove into the car park of a rather huge and fancy hotel. It had lights everywhere, making a colorful sight and was a whopping fifteen storey building. If this was any other day, I would have admired the view. But now, I stared blankly at the scenery until Adam turned off the car engine and we got out.   "Come," He said, placing a hand on my back.  His hands sent warmth through my whole body. I allowed myself to think about those hands only. Those hands that had touched and stroked and caressed every inch of me. The only hands in which I felt safe.  God I had missed this. I had missed him. This was probably a wrong time to think about him like that however. He had just come to help me. Without him, I would be stranded like a fish out of water.   Horror slid over me as a thought dropped into my mind. What would I have done if Adam hadn'

An awkward question
Adam's POV "Is that all?" I asked Lillian, gesturing at the stack of documents I had just signed through.   "Yes that is all," She replied, and whipped out her tablet with fucking godspeed. "Next you have-" "Cancel it," I said gruffly.   When she glanced up to look at me, I was out of my seat, grabbing my suit jacket.  "Well you certainly are in a haste to go," She grumbled. "What should I tell Field and Co? They have a meeting with you."  "I pay you to help me come up with excuses Lillian, give them something." I replied, strutting out of the office.   I had to see Eve.   I hadn't seen her the day before due to work. Lillian had dumped a damned load of documents to go through and it was quite alarming just how much paperwork came with being a CEO. How I had so much sh

A fateful coincidence
Madeline's POV "Fold?" The croupier, a tall lanky man, dressed in a black crisp suit and had the worst french accent I had heard in my entire life said, peering down at me.  I gave him the stink eye and reviewed the cards in my hands. Ah crap. My cards weren't looking too good. But if I quit the game now, I would lose my money. I had walked into this damned casino to double my money, not lose it all at a game of cards. . But hell, my cards weren't good at all. We had gone a total of four rounds and they were looking terrible. If I had counted properly, two spades and a couple of hearts wasn't going to do me much good. The grins on the other faces of my fellow gamblers told me that much.   "Fold," I told the croupier with a sigh and rose to my feet. I suppose I had no chance to win today. I would win some other time.  Besides, when I married Adam, I would have

The woman who wielded so much power over him
Eve's POV I remained quiet all through the car ride back to the hotel, fixing my gaze on the setting sun outside the window. Adam's question rang through my head and honestly, I wasn't sure I had an answer.   Would I go back to Tom?  There were so many things to consider. One was, just for how long did Adam plan to help me? Perhaps he was asking the questions because he couldn't help me anymore. Perhaps he was fed up already. Or maybe he just didn't want to have anything to do with me anymore.   He was Tom's Intended business partner afterall.  I pressed my lips tight on contemplation, tired of the many thoughts that flitted through my head.   I had nothing. No money to my name. No home and certainly not a job. I didn't go to college. Tom had forbidden me from doing so, which meant I had no degree to boast of. I couldn'

An obsessive bitch
Madeline's POV "Here are the peels of lime you requested ma'am," The bartender said, dropping a tray of lime peels on my table. "Though I am not quite certain what anyone would need the peels for."  I gave him a smile and shoved a wad of cash in his hands. "That's for me to worry about and for you to get lost, hmm?"  He tipped his head and walked away briskly. I picked a few peels and chuckled. It was time to pull on my acting face.  I tapped on the message my stalker had sent me. He had sent a message following the picture and they include the address of an Hotel. Stone Hotel. Of course.   He was housing the bitch in his hotel. I'll bet the rest of the money I had that he was probably fucking the brains out of her right now, the world shaking on its damned axis.   Well all that was about to change. I forwarded the message t

Painful farewell
Adam's POV "Mother?!"  My mother's eyes were fixed in a glare and with a slow hiss, she pushed past me into the room.  What the hell was my mother doing here? How Had she known I was here?! And how did she know what room? Fuck, Eve! Eve was still in the bedroom. If she hadn't finished adjusting her dress then I was fucked.   I rushed after my mother, standing before her, a frown on my face.   "What are you doing here, Mother?"  One minute I had Eve in my hands, bare open and wet enough to send me to the highest heavens. I could still taste her on my tongue. I could still feel her soft plum breasts and that creamy skin against my lips.   If my mother had been a tad too late, I'd probably have been balls deep inside her, twitching and spilling until I had her full and marked as mine.

A tough call to make
Eve's POV "Goodbye Eve,"  My eyes remained tightly closed until I heard the sound of the door closing behind him. He was gone. His words replayed in my head and I willed my eyes to open.  There was no Adam. There was no one. It was just me, the sound of my heart racing as if it ran a marathon and a loud pounding in my head.   Tears burned the corner of my eyes, a lone tear rolled down my cheek, to the ground and as of unleashing a curse, others followed.  "He left," I choked out, feeling a certain kind of pain twist in my chest, making it rather hard to breathe. I knew Adam was gone for good, this time.   I dropped to my knees, my mouth parting in a wide strangled sob as the tears fell unrestrained. I had never felt so humiliated in my entire life. I could still hear it, his mother's words. They rang in my head

A very difficult request
ADAM’S POV  My knuckles gripped the steering wheel tightly until they whitened from the pressure. I watched my mother’s car drive up ahead, gritting my teeth in anger.  The scene at the hotel had replayed in my head a gazillion times. I could see it all again, all the anger written all over my mother’s face. I could see the pain in Eve’s eyes when she had slapped her. A growl slipped from my lips at the memory and I slammed my hand on the steering wheel in anger. I had just stood there and watched it happen! I should have done something. I should have foresaw that and protected Eve. Fuck! She had looked so abandoned, so deserted. I hated that. I wanted to be there for her. I wanted to be the one person she could rely on. I wanted to take care of her dammit! Turn around, my mind urged. Just fucking turn around and go back to her. She was probably still on the floor in the liv

Sometimes, the devil wins
Tom's POV "This coffee tastes like shit!" I yelled at the damned good for nothing maid, annoyed with everything.   She yelled, bowed her head and mumbled several apologies that made me even angrier!I had a bad night. Again! How on earth was I supposed to sleep when my wife roamed around who knows where? That bitch! The minute I get my hands on her, I'll show her what happens when she crosses me.   She had grown balls hadn't she? She had the nerve to leave the house. To leave me! Oh she would pay for it when I found her eventually.  When I had thrown her out, I hadn't expected that she would actually leave! It was Eve! Puny, little, terrified Eve. She feared being alone more than anything in the damned world and that had made it easy to manipulate her this far.  I had expected tears.  I would throw her ou

The truth always comes out
Tom's POV She looked like a kicked puppy. Standing out there in a rather drab dress. Her hair was tied in a ponytail and her eyes were red.   She had been crying.  For what? I thought in fury. Over her old man's death? That man hadn't cared not one bit about her and she had the audacity to defy me because of him! Such insolence.   I had been with her for ten years. I had bore through her shenanigans and tantrums and made sure to give her the discipline she needed so she could learn her face. Yet it was obvious she would still choose that man over me anytime, any day.   Anger burned through my veins, reminding me of the many reasons why I needed to teach her a lesson. I couldn't have her running off on me every time. What kind of a husband didn't train his wife to be a good little prim and proper bitch? A terrible one, that's who.  &nbs
