Elsie's POV　　It was an awkward car ride home with Oris. He gave me the silent treatment and you could cut the tension with a knife between us. I felt confused over his reaction to how I had approached tonight at the dinner table.　　The previous time I had been with Oris, he was so wild and dominating. He had revealed an animalistic side to him that I hadn't realised was there, obviously it lay dormant until he felt ready to unleash it. So, I too had acted upon my own urges and allowed them to take over, resulting in me pleasuring Oris in a very public area.　　Obviously I had crossed a boundary there, and I couldn't help but feel confused about what Oris wanted. But I also ruined what should have been our first date. After Oris brought me such a beautiful bunch of roses, I had to resort to my animalistic nature and halt the evening.　　Leaving the taxi which brought us home, Oris walked steps ahead of me. I felt spots of rain falling onto my uncovered arms as I headed toward the house

Rory's POV　　It was interesting to me, surveying these rogue wolves and watching how they formed an alliance to attack Elsie.　　The little bitch deserved it.　　I hunkered down behind a tree, keeping myself hidden between the leaves as I found the perfect spot to witness Elsie's demise.　　I watched with delight at her feeble attempt at fighting the wolves off, she was outnumbered and it wasn't a fair fight, but Elsie didn't deserve fair.　　The wolves ripped into her flesh, beating her to the ground until her body couldn't take any more. They tore chunks of her pretty red fur from her skin, biting down into her flesh and removing patches of meat as they fed on her.　　I caught the scent of Elsie's blood in the air, the smell of her suffering and death was such a delight to my nostrils. Almost to the point where I desired to shift into my wolf form and have a taste for myself. I imagined her blood would taste sweet, and her flesh would melt into my mouth. I found my mouth salivating at t

Theo's POV　　"Okay, plan of action," I said with determination "We use our new heightened senses to find Elsie, it should be easy with our connected bonds,"　　"Yes," Oris said "In my visions I swore I saw trees, she must be in the forest,"　　With a grunt I clenched my jaw. I told her not to go into the forest for a reason, this very reason! It was dangerous. That girl was too fierce for her own good sometimes. Even though I had developed strong feelings for Elsie, her stubbornness would still irritate me, even when she failed to listen or take orders.　　"Gracie," I said as I realised no one would be at home to take care of my daughter "I can't leave her on her own!"　　"You go find Elsie," Oris said, stepping forward "Take Kai with you, I'll stay here and make sure Gracie is safe," A gentle smile swept across his lips as he looked at me, he really was the kindest person I knew. The best of all of us.　　"Thank you Oris," I said with genuine appreciation in my voice, placing my hand on

Oris's POV　　Sitting in Elsie's bedroom, on the edge of her bed I found myself restless. My leg constantly twitched uneasily as I thought about what was happening in the forest. I felt useless, wanting to help my brothers find Elsie, but I was needed here. Gracie couldn't be left alone, she was too young to fend for herself, especially now a rogue wolf had her scent.　　The painful sensation still ached through me, and I caught flashes of Elsie's sadness and cries for help in my mind. I knew she was trying to reach out into our minds through her distress, now we were mated, it was my duty to feel her pain and experience what she was going through. Elsie's pain was now my pain.　　I left the door open in the room, being able to see Gracie's room was a comfort to me. After hearing about the rogue wolf which cornered her in the forest. I had to be on high alert to make sure while my brothers were distracted, there weren't any more threats heading toward the home. I would make sure no harm

Elsie's POV　　My eyes stung as I made an attempt to open them, even the effort in moving my eyelids was exhausting. Eventually I focused on the light around me, squinting as the brightness from the sun burned into my vision. 　　I saw the silhouette of someone sitting beside me. Was it Theo? Oris? I would even welcome Kai at this point. Had they managed to find me and bring me back to the Summer Pack house?　　My eyes began to adjust, and I just caught the features of the man sitting at my bedside. As he spoke to me, I felt my stomach turn with sickness, and bile rose into my throat.　　"Good morning baby," Rory's rough voice stung my ears. That same voice I always dreaded to hear, it sent a terror through my body, striking every nerve along the way "You're safe now, safe with me,"　　As my eyes began to adjust further, I studied his face. Rory was rugged, his skin worn while the scar across his face made him look rough. His eyes were cold, and seemed to look through me rather than into
