　　Kai's POV　　I had never dropped what I was doing, and ran to someone's aid as fast as I had after hearing Elsie's scared plea in my mind. Elsie was my priority, and her safety was the most important thing to me, and my brothers.　　We ascended the stairs, joining forces as we all caught her message in our minds and powered through the house, until we reached Elsie's bedroom.　　My blood boiled as my heart raced in my chest, pounding in my ears. If anyone has hurt Elsie, they would face my fists as I pounded them into the ground, so hard their body would become mulch.　　Theo had taken the lead, and then Oris had managed to barge past me. 　　Elsie's POV　　I was an intelligent woman, and of course I knew I shouldn't have accepted Rory's offer of meeting him, especially on such a traumatic occasion, our anniversary. So many small details of mine and Rory's time together had been forced from my mind, including a date I didn't wish to remember. A celebration of our first date.　　The date today had meant little to me, I had completely forgotten it would have been such a great occasion for us, provided we were still together. But a big part of me ignored my head and followed my heart. Purely on the possibility of having some unanswered questions brought to light.　　The note had been specific on where Rory wanted me to meet him, and I still recalled the spot down by the river like it was yesterday. I had showered, styled my hair and made myself look attractive for Rory, hoping his approval on my looks would make this easier for me.　　I had chosen a dress from my wardrobe I knew Rory would enjoy seeing me in, he always loved me

　　Rory's POV　　Considering Elsie had grown stronger with her warrior training, her mind still appeared to be as weak as ever. She was eating up the lies which left my mouth, as I spun tales of how toxic her parents had been.　　'You're sick,' Evander hissed in my mind 'Lets see how far we can push this little one' a chuckle shuddered around my head from my wolf.　　'Yes,' I replied with a low growl 'If only Elsie knew the truth, how lovely and caring her parents had been, doting on their baby and showering her with nothing but affection,'　　'I remember,' Evander said coldly 'It was disgusting how much they cherished that child, but we couldn't let them stand in the way of getting what we deserved,'　　'Indeed,' I said, watching Elsie's face express so many emotions as she processed the information I had given her 'I do enjoy seeing my Elsie like this though, look at her. 　　Elsie's POV　　'I feel trapped, this was the worst idea,' Elsie's voice spoke in my mind, and I cowered before the tall figure of Rory Roth before me.　　'It's fine,' I replied to the timid voice in my mind as she spoke with defeat 'I've got this, you're safe from him,'　　I inched backwards, trying to make myself large as I puffed up my fur, but my body ached from where he had tossed me so easily to the ground as though I weighed nothing.　　I watched the blood seep from the wound I had made in his shoulder with my sharp jaws, he held onto himself tightly, but the blood still trickled through the cracks of his fingers.　　I knew I should run, quit while I was ahead, but I could sense something within Rory, a sense of something I couldn't recognise. 　　Elsie's POV　　The rush was sensational, I felt a connection to everything around me. After taking in what Echo had taught me, I had started to learn to listen to my body and control my emotions. I used my love and hate to my advantage, which made me stronger, faster and more agile. I could feel my senses enhance as my abilities grew stronger.　　'We've got this Elsie' Ashe said to me as I lashed my fist against my opponent 'Duck, swing, he's coming for you!
