"How long are you going to avoid him for?" Brooke asked, looking at Indianna in the mirror's reflection."You can't really call it avoiding," Indianna grumbled and tied her hair into a high ponytail. She stood up from the chair and grabbed her brown leather jacket from her bed, shrugging it on. "Not when I end up ill and in excruciating pain whenever I'm away from him for long periods of time.""What do you do?" Brooke wondered. "To stop the pain, you have to touch each other. At least Harry and I do. Usually, we just fu—" Brooke coughed, and Indianna laughed slightly, rolling her eyes. "You and Greyson obviously don't do that, so how do you make the pain go away?""Very awkwardly," Indianna muttered. "Especially when every fibre in my body wants to forgive him and be with him. The bond is stronger now that I've shifted. I didn't think it could be, but it just makes me want him more.""Does it make you want him enough to have sex with him?" Brooke asked, and Indianna's mouth dropped op

"Something is different," Brooke said when Indianna sat down in their next lesson.Indianna reached into her bag and tried to hide her blush from Brooke. She couldn't believe what had happened. She was no longer inexperienced, and the thought made her blush harder."What is it?" Brooke asked, grabbing Indianna's wrist and turning her around so they were facing each other.Indianna shrugged and glanced at her wrists, her mind wandering back to how Greyson had held them earlier. She gritted her teeth and silently cursed herself. She was meant to be angry at him."Have you and Greyson made up?"Indianna pursed her lips and frowned. "In a sense?""But you're still annoyed at him?""Definitely."Brooke nodded and looked Indianna up and down."Something is different," she said persistently. "You just seem different. You have a weird... glow about you.""Glow?" Indianna repeated and laughed. "Brooke, nothing happened between Greyson and me."Brooke frowned before smirking triumphantly."Indie

"No, not physically. You're stronger mentally, more confident. You were so shy when I first spoke to you. You still are shy, but you've grown so much. You never would've been able to talk to Kimberly like that when you first came here.""Where are you going with this?""Greyson has made you more confident," Stacy said. "He's the one who changed you.""Yeah," Indianna mumbled. "I guess he has.""You met him, he changed you for the better and now... now you don't need him anymore. So come with us. With me and Jason. Greyson has done his job. Leave him—""Okay, this conversation is over," Greyson said sternly, walking over to the table where Indianna and Stacy were seated. He gently took Indianna's arm and pulled her towards him."Stacy, you tell your mate that I will find him, and I will make sure he suffers a long and painful death. I will tear you to shreds first, so he has to endure the horror of losing his mate, and then I will end him!"Stacy gulped and looked at Greyson in fear."Y

"Get off your lazy ass and get downstairs!" Kal yelled, throwing open the door to Greyson's bedroom. He walked over to the bed, where Indianna was lying down and reading a book."Huh?""I have orders to get your unsociable butt downstairs," Kal shrugged. He snatched the book from Indianna's hands and threw it onto the floor. "Up, let's go.""Orders?" Indianna wondered. "Greyson?""The one and only," Kal nodded. "A bunch of us are ordering pizza, watching some movies and you're joining us.""B-but—""Hush," Kal said. "It's a movie. Unless you're one of those extremely irritating people, you don't speak much while watching a movie. You just sit there, eat some pizza and chill out. The pack wants to get to know you, Indie. Give them a chance."Indianna sighed. "How many people?""A few.""The way we interpret that word is very different," Indianna said, and Kal smirked."I've been told I can use force," he said.Indianna raised her eyebrows. "Really?""Yep," Kal grinned. You said you woul

"Don't!" Brooke hissed.Indianna realised why Brooke was so upset."Do not say his name!""You can talk to me about it!" Harry exclaimed."I don't want to fucking talk about it!" Brooke screamed, and a few tears trickled down her face. "Stop bugging me about it!""No, not until you sit down and actually tell me what's wrong. You keep everything to yourself, and it's not good for you!" Harry yelled.Indianna gulped. She imagined Greyson being that angry at her—red in the face, with gritted teeth and black eyes. She would crumble with fear.Harry looked terrifying, and Indianna wondered how Brooke wasn't frightened. Then she remembered Brooke explaining that she dealt with Harry's anger better than other people did.Harry knew that he could get angry without frightening Brooke. So he got angry.Very angry.Indianna had thought Brooke was recovering well after what Rogue had done to her, but now she knew that she wasn't.She was just pretending.Pretending not to be in pain.Pretending no
