"Luna," Doc said brightly, smiling when Indianna knocked on the infirmary door later that evening. "I assume you are here to see the girl?"Indianna nodded and stepped inside. Her eyes immediately landed on the small figure lying on the bed.The girl looked fragile. Too fragile. She was curled into herself, clutching the sheets tightly against her chest as if they were the only thing protecting her from the world. Her long red hair covered part of her face, but Indianna could still see the fear in her eyes."How is she?" Indianna asked softly."Healing well," Doc sighed. "Physically, she will be fine. But mentally... she is terrified."Indianna's heart tightened. She knew that look. She had worn it herself."I shall leave you two alone," Doc said gently. "Call me if you need anything.""Thank you," Indianna nodded.Once the door closed, Indianna slowly walked closer to the bed."Hello," she said softly. "I'm not going to hurt you. I just want to talk."The girl watched her carefully, l

A few hours had passed. Indianna and Greyson had met up with the others and, after Greyson had punched Kal rather hard on the arm, they all went to get some candy floss. The six of them had spent a few hours wandering around the carnival, going on numerous rides and buying lots of food. Greyson and Harry had both won Indianna and Brooke a stuffed animal in a game, and Indianna had to admit, the toy was adorable. It was a fluffy teddy bear with a blue bow around its neck and was rather large.Indianna couldn't help but feel like a giant kid.Something was off, however. She wasn't sure if she was being paranoid, but Indianna felt like she was being watched. She wasn't sure if she was imagining seeing a dark figure out of the corner of her eye. She tried telling herself that she was imagining things, that she was being paranoid because of the threat of Rogue, but she couldn't calm her growing nerves.Something wasn't right. She clenched her clammy hands into fists and linked her arm throu

"Sugar," Greyson said, his eyes wide with panic. "Keep your eyes open! Don't close your goddamn eyes, Indie!"Indianna could hear Greyson loud and clear, but sleep was calling to her. The darkness seemed so appealing, and she knew the pain would go away if she just closed her eyes. Not even the sparks could stop the pain she was feeling. Her body was exhausted, and sleep seemed like the only option that could help her."Indianna!" Greyson yelled, looking down at Indianna's limp body in his arms. "Please, stay awake!"Her eyes fluttered closed, and Greyson cursed loudly. "Kal, hurry the fuck up!"Kal looked at Greyson in the reflection of the rear-view mirror in the car and pursed his lips."Do you think if I could go any faster I would?""Fucking hell!" Greyson exclaimed, looking out of the window as trees sped past them. The pack house was only minutes away, but Greyson didn't know how long Indianna had."I know she's your mate and you're freaking out, but she is our Luna too," Kal sa

"How long will it take?" Indianna asked. "For my legs to get stronger?""It's hard to tell. It all depends on you. If I were you, I would try and walk as much as possible to try and build your strength. But you are to make no sudden movements or turn your body much," Doc said."Okay," Indianna nodded and gripped onto Greyson's hand. "Can I go back to my room now?""If you want to, but you have to check in with me every other evening," Doc said."Okay, thank you," Indianna said. "Thank you for, well... saving me.""Thank you for staying alive," Doc chuckled. "I think Greyson would have ripped my heart out if I hadn't saved you.""Your death wouldn't have been so quick," Greyson said with a shrug, but the corners of his mouth curved upwards. "Come on, let's go."Greyson helped Indianna walk out of the infirmary and gripped her tightly as they made their way up the stairs."Indie, your mother is here.""She is?" Indianna said, looking up at Greyson with wide eyes. "Did Rogue-""He hasn't

"No need," Greyson said and placed his hand on Indianna's shoulder. "What's wrong?""I don't know," Indianna groaned."She's in pain, like she was at the beginning of the process," Brooke said quietly, and Greyson frowned and nodded."Sugar, do you want to go home?" he asked."I'll be fine," Indianna gasped."We're going home," Greyson said and gently pulled Indianna up from her seat. "Bye, Brooklyn."Sasha, Alice, and Violet all looked at Indianna in worry as Greyson wrapped his arm around her waist and led her out of the canteen."She still hasn't recovered properly from the crash," Brooke lied to her friends, continuing with the story that they had made up.Indianna had been involved in an awful car crash that resulted in her missing school for a week. It explained why she looked ill and was slightly weak. The girls nodded and went back to their food just as Greyson and Indianna exited the canteen."I don't need to leave," Indianna groaned, trying to pull away from Greyson."You loo
