Alina's POV"Alina, Alina!" The room was suddenly filled with a masculine voice calling out my name as the intruder barged into my room. I lay sprawled on the bunk bed, my thighs partly exposed to the morning ray from my window. In a hurried panic, I reached for the blanket to conceal myself. It was one of the guards, and a sardonic chuckle escaped me as Lexi, my wolf, called him a 'pervert' in my mind. It seemed like just another morning to be treated like garbage. "Get up, orphan!" He snarled. "Luna wants you to clear the dining table. They have finished eating."I rolled my eyes dramatically, although he couldn't see it. I had no clear role within Alpha Lorgan's packhouse since my arrival. I wasn't a slave, nor was I a special wolf. I was merely an orphan who had watched her parents burn alive just hours before my 18th birthday. The pain of that memory, coupled with the jarring experience of shifting into my wolf, weighed heavily on me. I had one friend, Caroline, but I hadn't see

Sebastian's POV Trying to be around my mate without arousing suspicion was a challenge throughout the day. Her role as a maid required her constant presence, which, in this case, was both a blessing and a curse. I found myself lying in my bed, unable to escape the thoughts of Alina. Even in her maid uniform, she radiated beauty that left me yearning to see her without it. I couldn't help but imagine how her curves would feel in my hands. I needed to be careful not to come off as a pervert, but my desire and attachment to her were undeniable.Restlessly, I opened my door and called the attention of a guard standing nearby. My mother's overprotectiveness, with a guard watching over my safety, felt unnecessary. "Do you know a maid by the name of Alina?" I asked, adopting a stern tone to assert my authority."Yes, sir. The orphan," he replied, revealing an aspect of her past that explained some of her pain."The orphan?" I mused to myself, understanding her hurt a bit better. It must hav

There's absolutely no way, no freaking way I could be pregnant. Four weeks had passed, and although I noticed a change in my scent, the idea of pregnancy was the last thing on my mind, even Lexi was surprised. It was just one night of intense passion, a flame that turned its back on me and left me scorched. My eyes scanned the emptiness of an abandoned old house, a place I had found in the woods, my hideout since I ran away. At least, it was a place that wasn't easily traceable. It was just me, the dust, eerie cobwebs, and an uncomfortable bed that made me long for my bunk bed, a constant reminder of my overwhelming loneliness in this silence. What do I even know about raising kids, especially now that their supposed father has rejected me? Or about my safety?I was confused and lost, my life hadn't been in order or off to a good start, and it seemed to be going in that same direction. "You're not alone," Lexi, my wolf reassured me.Lexi sensed my pain, but sometimes words weren't en

Alina’s POVI walked back home in defeat thinking of everything at once, my feet heavy, dragged, and moved slowly one step at a time. I felt like I was going crazy, I definitely was. By the time I got to the door, I saw a policeman and the kids' nanny knocking and checking if anyone was in. Immediately the nanny spotted me, she turned to walk towards me. “Alina, are you okay? I heard what happened."My voice and lips failed me and I managed a nod. The nanny held me as if she could sense I could not feel like walking anymore and led me to the door where the officer sat. “Good evening ma’am, I am Officer Smith,” the police officer greeted. “I am sorry about what happened to your children, but I also need your account of what happened so we can find them.”I clutched my children’s bag tighter as tears threatened to fall again. “Leave me alone please,” I finally say, my throat hurt and my voice raspy and shaky. “I’m sorry?” The Officer responded like he did not hear me. “I said lea

Sebastian's POV“Alpha, he is in the clinic,” a man in my pack said, making my head bang with pain. I wasn’t going to see the wolf that got injured but I guess I had to now.I opened the door to the small ward where the injured man was and so many other people were present in the room and surrounded him, he was surely going to die faster with this many people.I walked towards the injured man and saw how deep his injuries were, he had a slim chance. “He got attacked and he was slashed with something that poisoned the wound. With this there is a slim chance of him surviving,” the park doctor beside me said, confirming my thoughts. “Everyone out!" I commanded and each person bowed before exiting the clinic, the perks of power. “So what was the message?” I asked the injured fellow knowing full well that he wasn’t injured for nothing, someone wanted me to know something. He made an attempt to sit up and the sound of him wincing was only going to add to my headache, so I gently pushed h
