A visitor from the past

Alina POV

His call echoed, interrupting my rehearsed plan to ask Sebastian for help with the kidnapped twins. The perfect pitch I had prepared dissolved as his voice reached me, a strange sensation freezing me in place, rendering me speechless. It was as if time stood still.

I took in his appearance, it was even more commanding than the last time I saw him, he seemed more muscular and his wavy hair was longer. I could see Colvin in him and it made me imagine what Sebastian looked like as a child.

“Alina, it's…surprising… to see you," He added, his voice tinged with confusion as he managed to gather his words. "What…are you doing here? It's been a…while.”

There were more pressing matters to discuss than my six-year life trajectory, so I had to push the controversy aside.

“Sebastian," the room fell silent as I spoke. I felt his eyes focusing on me. I had to tell him straight. This was a result of our kids, I thought as I gazed into his captivating eyes and spoke up. "I need your help.
