Sonya was enjoying her morning coffee on the terrace when she saw Clayton’s car parked outside the front gate. Richard was standing near the window of his room. The curtain hid his standing position from any distant spot that was possibly visible from the Duvilles’ land. His eyes captured Sonya’s spot where she was standing by the brook.He sighed. His taking breath sounded heavy and he put his eyes on the sculpture under his room’s window.
