"You all were spectacular today, although some of you lack the knowledge and some the skills and other the strength," Lucas faced me when he spoke about strength and my mood sank, he still was not proud of me. It didn't matter to me because I had already helped two members of the pack. "You are all qualified to be a member of this pack but under a condition. Be warned that if you make the slightest mistake for the time being, you will be thrown out." Everyone smiled at the information, they all had a pack of their own. I too should've been happy, but it was no use, Lance was never going to see good in anything I did, since I had no powers."You can all go now it's getting late," Lance finalised and everyone began to dismiss. "Hayley," my body froze when I heard my name. Lance called my name. Slowly, I turned to the direction of the sound. My heart began raining with the beating doubling per second. I had no idea what he wanted to talk about. I did so badly in the test, even when I

I thought I was supposed to be learning how to fight, not doing push ups and pull ups. Gray stood watching me count up to twenty push ups but the goal was to get to fifty. At twenty five I could feel my hands buckling but I kept going. I kept going but not with as much enthusiasm as I started it and at thirty I felt myself landing on the floor. I counted to ten letting my body take a rest and then I forced myself to finish the remaining twenty. There was the sound of metal clanking coming from nearby. Apparently, we were not the only ones who had come out to train. We were in a space outside which was a makeshift gym. Even the equipment used was not like the standard gym equipment found in those fancy gyms. I saw Jeffery and he was heavy lifting even at his age. Lucas, Shirtless, was deadlifting some of those heavy metals. He paid absolutely no attention to anyone. I looked around me and saw Petra doing some bench press. Mike just stood by observing everyone. Nice!" said Gray, comin

"It's for Lance, you have to be sure it's okay," picking up a rag, I cleared my work table, not minding to look at him as I spoke."It's sweet, don't worry." "Saying that only makes me worry more," Gray frowned, still staring at the cup as if it were poison. "If you die, Sonia would hunt me down, so you're safe." Patiently, I waited for him to make a decision. Gray staredat me, then at the cup, then at me again. It was rather unnecessary because it was very unwise of me to use a cup of tea to kill him, even if I had something against him."If it makes you feel better, I could take a sip," I reassured and Gray finally gulped in the entire cup at once.Cautiously, I watched his every expression to know whether or not the tea tasted okay. "This is actually pretty good," Gray smiled."I told you, it's sweet. Actually, it tasted very sour due to the lime in it, but I added a lot of milk, thus creating a sweet cough tea," my face lit up in pride."Nerd alert!" Gray laughed and I retur

"I know what this is and trust me it never goes right. He's your mate, you have to care," he ran his fingers through his hair looking at me in disbelief. "Have you seen how he treats me?" I laughed out lowly, "I understand that he is alpha but I blame myself for trying to be good for him."Sharply, I left the ground I was sitting on, picked up the book I planned to read and began leaving the library too. I sensed Gray following me from behind, quiet after what I said about Lance. He was lost in his own thoughts."I appreciate all you have done and the stress you went through for me, I cannot thank you enough, honestly, but it is about time I grew up. I am not going to be a chore wolf," I finalized and his brow furrowed."A chore wolf?" he questioned as he exited the building. The bright sun hit my face and I frowned, allowing my eyes to adjust to the light. We both continued to walk like nothing happened a few minutes back."An omega," I answered. "No one sees you as that," he argue

Come on! Where did all that fire in me go? I melted under his cold gaze as he let go of my hand."Em um I'm-""Sorry, I don't understand gibberish," Lance said. Why wouldn't I sound like that when he was shirtless and his scent did stupid things to me. "It's just that I wanted to go home for a few minutes and talk with my sister." I finally got the words out but that sounded more like I was taking permission. I wanted to demand it. "Gray," he called, looking past me. "Did I stutter?" He banged the door in my face and I shook out of fear. Gray threw his hands in the air!"I told you to leave it," he said. "But-""Why is it so difficult for you to listen to me Hayley?" Gray yelled. To think that Gray of all people would yell at me. I was downcast and I moved past him like he was a ghost. "Hayley, Hayley I'm sorry I yelled okay," he said, doubling his pace. Gray doubled his pace but still could not meet up with me. Anger, sadness and a bunch of negative emotions bubbled up withi
