Lahat ng Kabanata ng Roses on Mafia: Kabanata 1 - Kabanata 10

The lights of JFK Airport cast a warm glow as I stepped off the plane. My heart raced with a mixture of anticipation and anxiety. New York, this was where dreams were born, where aspirations were realized. But for me, this trip held a different significance. It was a fleeting escape from a life that was anything but dreamlike. As I collected my luggage, a shiver of trepidation ran down my spine. Mr. Grayson, my boss, stood a few paces away. His smug grin was enough to unsettle me. Our professional relationship had always been strained, his advances unwelcome and persistent."Roseline," he greeted with a falsely charming smile. "Isn't this an adventure?"I forced a polite nod, my grip on the handle of my suitcase tightening. "Yes, Mr. Grayson. A necessary business trip.""Indeed," he purred, his gaze making me uncomfortable. "You know, to cut costs, we could share a room. The company only covered the costs for the traveling expenses, but we're left to ourselves for accommodation. Surel

As the party concluded and the evening sky cast its gentle darkness, I found myself standing alone under the bus stop's feeble shelter. Raindrops danced on the pavement, and my thoughts were caught in the storm of uncertainty. The idea of my next step was as blurry as the reflections on the wet road. My breath created small puffs of steam as I contemplated my limited options.Amidst my contemplation, the serene sound of a motor engine purred nearby. I looked up to witness a luxurious Rolls Royce pulling up gracefully, its headlights cutting through the rain. My heart quickened as the car parked right in front of me, and the window smoothly slid down, revealing the face that had become so familiar over the course of the night — Lucas."Hey there," he greeted, his voice a gentle rumble amidst the rain. "It seems fate won't let you escape me tonight." He smiled with a warmth that seemed almost disarming.I felt a blend of emotions surge within me — surprise, curiosity, and a strange sens

Isabella Sean: Standing at about 5"9 feet with long flowing dark hair and deep brown eyes, she exudes an aura of elegance and sophistication. Isabella is the lady betrothed to Lucas Blackwood due to familial arrangements. Unlike Lucas, she wholeheartedly fell for Lucas and loves him very much and as such is enraged at Roseline's sudden entrance into the Frey. She makes several attempts to erase and send Roseline out of the picture through sending spies like Kyle and using Lillian's connections, genuinely praying for Lucas to one day see her in a loving light. We kept talking about our experiences in the company till the time hit 5pm in the evening. I learnt a few things about him during our talk, for one he didn’t want to tell me his position in the company. I pestered him for a while but he insisted on not saying due to ‘circumstances’. He was probably some sort of high ranked official considering the extent of his wealth, in fact, he may be in cahoots with the owner. And again, he w

Narrator’s POVBefore his hand could even get centimetres near her face, Rose thrust her fist forward and delivered a punch packed with so much force that the impact sends him flying back into a shocked Stella and ultimately lands both on the ground.“Are you crazy?! Do you have any idea of what you just did?! You’re dead meat!!” A flared up Grayson screamed as he struggled to find his footing, holding on to the chair next to him. With bloodshot furious eyes, he lifted his gaze to meet Rose’s but on contact, a sudden chill washed over his entire body.…“Jacob, come here would you, you don’t want Miss Filo to get mad do you?” A red haired male figure said while throwing his arm across the neck of Rose’s little brother Jacob. They were thinking of ways to coarse the professor into collecting their assignments which were supposed to be due the previous day.“I don’t really care if she gets mad, its not like I’m scared or anything. I’m just trying to think of the right words to use for h

I picked up one of the dusty old shoes from under my bed and added to the list of items to wash. As my eyes paced fast across the room searching for another item that would be added in the pile, the envelope Lucas had given me peeked into the corner of my view. At the mere sight of the letter, my body felt all giddy and I couldn’t restraining the happiness that washed over every nook and cranny of my body.“Hah…. I still can’t believe it” I subconsciously said out loud whilst letting out a long sigh of relief. It had already been two days since then and I still hadn’t grasped the reality of it.PingA notification popped up on the top of my phone screen and displayed a message from my new friend Stella. After the scene from that morning, I and Stella went over to a spa to clean ourselves up and apparently let all bygones be bygones. It was an all expense paid trip courtesy of Lucy, who had a hunch that something similar to this might happen, and intended to compensate for not giving m
