Farewell

I picked up one of the dusty old shoes from under my bed and added to the list of items to wash. As my eyes paced fast across the room searching for another item that would be added in the pile, the envelope Lucas had given me peeked into the corner of my view. At the mere sight of the letter, my body felt all giddy and I couldn’t restraining the happiness that washed over every nook and cranny of my body.

“Hah…. I still can’t believe it” I subconsciously said out loud whilst letting out a long sigh of relief. It had already been two days since then and I still hadn’t grasped the reality of it.
