Rarity The Eiffel Tower glowed with a million twinkling lights. It was breathtaking. The radiant monument illuminated the city of Paris, casting a warm yellow shine while we all gazed at it. I couldn't help the smile that spread across my face. "So, was this what you were waiting for?" I asked Vidar. He nodded, watching me with a smile that took my breath away. When I was a kid, my mom and I used to come here every year after the Alpha Conference to watch the lights come on. She would take me to that store we went to and buy the most expensive bottle of wine they had. After that, we would buy bread and cheese at the grocery store at the end of the road, and then we would sit here and watch the Eiffel Tower light up under the stars. She even let me have my own glass of wine. It was one of my favorite days of the year—one of the reasons I love Paris. I never saw this side of Vidar. I had seen him as a fierce lover and a caring guardian, but I had never seen his vulnerable side.

I could hear my heart beating in my ears as I ran through the streets of Paris to where I hoped my mother lived. I couldn't stop looking back, hoping to see Vidar turn the corner and run back to me. I nervously wiped my sweaty palms on my jeans as I scanned the top and bottom of the extremely chic hallway, hoping that Vidar wouldn't appear, climbing the steps behind me before I had the chance to speak with my mother. Small snorts escaped from Vidar with each kiss I pressed to his skin. His arms loosened a little. I continued to kiss his arms and hands, then started licking and sucking. His snorts transformed into moans. His grip on me loosened to a bearable level, and I let out a sigh of relief. But then he threw one of his legs over me and buried his face in my neck and hair.
