Raegan's POV Fear, an emotion that hadn't ruled my body filled me up as I was dragged roughly almost like a prisoner to the cellar.Behind us, Gunner and Lucas began arguing, and deep down I prayed that Gunner would somehow talk his dad into giving me some other punishment. The guards roughly dragging me had paused to watch as Gunner kept on trying to pacify Lucas.“You're a fool if you think this charade would aid in her release!” I heard him say and my heart fell but my pride just wouldn't let me cry and beg.He walked out angrily and Gunner walked up to where the guards were before pulling me into a warm hug.“I'm sorry you are going through this even though I'm angry that you did not share your plans with me but he’s doing all this just to break you so be strong Rae” he whispered in my ears.“I'm sorry you have to go through this” he added once more before leaving me to my fate. That son of a bitch, my body cried at what I knew I was going to face there, with the way Gunner had d

Author's POVGunner had barged into the room hoping to see his father in a compromising way but was somehow disappointed to find nothing. The call had been a hoax so he naturally thought it was his father's doing. Lucas would do anything…no matter how unbelievable to get he wants. What did he want though?, He thought to himself before his eyes went to Rae and watched as she squirmed in a suspicious way…he had thought it was a nightmare by the way she was beginning to grasp into the air.In a flash he was beside the bed and not knowing what to do, he tried waking her up but her groans stopped him.He heaved a sigh, hoping she wouldn't take his actions the wrong way before pulling her into a hug.“I promise I wouldn't let him hurt you anymore” he cooed, not knowing what to say to calm her down.“It's okay, I am here and I'd be damned ro oet anything happen to you…” he whispered as he continued trying to pacify her, and with that she woke up and was surprised and confused upon noting that

Raegan’s POVI let out a lazy stretch before placing the pillow on my head hoping that the noise that came from everywhere, almost lie a bad dream.I assured myself if would soon go away and just as I stirred, my eyes came in contact with someone bending down and staring inquisitively at me causing me to let out a scream. It startled the other and she let out a scream too before calling to her knees.“I'm sorry but the bosses will kill me if they find out I cause your jumpscare, you weren't supposed to wake you up while we were in the room until you did that yourself ”I stared at her in confusion before the door was forcediond and Lucas alongside gunner who was begins him, stared at me as though they were awitibb an explanation.“What's going on?” I akeed before letting out another lazy yawn and tunrung to the bad, I asked “why the fuck are you kneeling!”“Did she wake you up!” Lucas asked expectantly but I shook my head.“I had a fixlinh nightmare OK nlh to awaken to this awful noise

Raegan’s POVI stared at the gown in speculation, unsure of it. It was a lacy body fitted sleeveless gown with an attached over skirt and curiously I put on the veil.“Are you going to come out or you are still contemplating on other ways to make us all riled up or probably you are plotting another escape?” I heard Gunner joked.Slowly with calculated steps, I shyly came out… all clothed in my wedding apparel alongside my veil and I heard a gasp that screamed, ‘This was the dress!’.“Definitely this!” I heard Gunner say beneath the veil but my eyes immediately searched for Lucas but surprising he said nothing to me but rather to the attendant.“Wrap this up! I hope this is an exclusive dress just like you had said” I heard him say and just then his voice faded away alongside hers leaving me in shock. What was I expecting though?I had clearly drawn a line while we were in the dressing room or perhaps he was just being his bipolar self.Seeing as my silence was beginning to worry Gunner

Raegan's POVI woke up in confusion and my head pounding hard against my skull. My eyes got familiar with my surroundings dings and I scowled at the unfamiliar room…before it all cleared up.The only thing I could remember was watching the sunset with Gunner before we headed to the bar to drink away or last moments as singles. We both have come to the agreement that since Lucas wanted a marriage on paper we were going to give him that.Lazily I lay in bed and just then the unclear memory of Lucas yelling and then following me to my room flashed causing me to scowl. Was he here or was my subconsciously messing with me?I sank the tea that was at my bedside before washing up but for some reason, I just didn't feel the need to see anyone.Everyone was busy in their way…tomorrow was when the reality was going to dawn on me.My mind flew back to the man that has offered me a way out…brushing the back of my phone where the memory card was…I thought of doing it.It was funny how it slipped o
