[Author’s Voice] An endless blanket of glistening stars carefully spread across the night sky, illuminating the whole sky with shimmer and wonder. Foreign sounds came from all directions, adding an alien feeling to wash over Ophelia’s body that was already quivering with dread. Her heart, wild and loud, throbbed heavily against her chest each time she released the air of suspense through her chapped lips. The crescent silvery-white moon gently shone brightly, shamelessly exposing every inch of fear as it slowly devoured her figure, prisoning her heart in a dark cage of uneasiness. There on the ground, her naked feet unconsciously rushed, leaving thuds behind as she ran through a narrow dim-lit street. Air left her system each time she took a step forward, running as if her life depended on it. IT DID! As if with a mind of their own, her feet turned, and turned but never stopped.
