Chapter 51
Kara I blink pulling back from them all, laughing as I pinch myself. This is real. We all walk in and head to the lounge. Aurora passes me Luca and his little chubby cheeks are just perfect. He has already grown so much those piercing silver eyes stare into my soul as he observes me not intimidating at all. “Are you hungry?” mum ask beginning to fuss as she runs her hands over my hair, a small frown on her face. She and my sister have gorgeous long blonde straight hair. It tumbles down their backs like Rapunzel. I have long, crazy, curly hair that I can sense my mother itching to get her hands on. She tried once and all it did was make my hair a bushy, frizzy mess. I shake my head and she nods her head back. “How about a drink then, your home! Your dad and I have been plotting ways to get you out of there,” she tells me, tugging at my heartstrings. “Mum,” I gush, it’s not like I thought they would give up on me. I just didn’t think it would be possible. She gives me that determine

Chapter 52
Elio It had been a full 48 hours since Marquis and Cahya had departed. As they continued scouring Bloodmoon Bay, the minutes ticking by, my worry only deepened. My only consolation was that I could feel nothing through the bond. However, that wasn't the most comforting thing. Nothing could compare to the relief of seeing her again, knowing she was back where she belonged, safe and sound. Bloodmoon Bay is one of the largest cities there are a lot of areas the search and neither of them feel the pull to her the way I do. I should have gone with them; I should have just faced her. It’s not like I have figured out a way to explain what happened? I just stood there. I had taken to sleeping in her room, her scent still lingered here and it was the only thing that helped me hold back my wolf and demon. I wanted to go for a run, but with the heat out here, it’s only really possible at night. Between my two forms, I find myself rarely shifting into my wolf. The hunger of my demon is insatia

Chapter 53
Kara I had been working on a plan to reach the Eclipse pack. However, I faced a couple of challenges. Firstly, I didn’t know how to drive, so I needed to find a driver. Secondly, convincing someone to be my driver seemed impossible, I couldn't think of a single person to take me without my family knowing, they would only stop me if they found out. Plus, the pack was a 5-hour drive away, and walking there was definitely not an option for me. It had been several days since I arrived and although I knew they were all happy to see me, they were all worried about the fact I had taken this serum. I know I’m not the smartest in my family. It’s not like I had the opportunity to go to school and learn like they did. So there may be a few gaps in my knowledge about bonds, etc. But it doesn’t change the facts. I was marked against my will and I have a mate who didn’t want me. Would the have done anything different? I may have been the only one happy with my decision, but I was all the only one

Chapter 54
Kara I rush into the library, pushing open the heavy doors. The scent of old books and quiet whispers welcomes me. I turn seeing Elio standing behind the desk scanning books. When I blink, I see that it is only the old librarian. Perfect, I’m losing my mind. I keep seeing him everywhere. I shake my head, brushing it off as I wander through the aisles, my fingers grazing the spines of countless books. The shelves tower above me, goddess there are so many. How am I even supposed to find what I’m looking for? Mum dedicated a significant amount of time to support my education and knowledge, although I managed to give the impression that I was performing better than I actually was. I wish I had tried a little harder, as this system wasn’t making any sense and giving me a headache. I feel a pair of eyes burning into the back of my head and when I turn; I see Elio’s face once more. My stomach does a little flip before I blink and realises it’s just the librarian coming up behind me. “Do y

Chapter 55
Kara Aurora comes down the stairs looking rather sleepy and if the marks all over her neck are any indication, I know why. I hide my snicker, not that she would notice with the way her eyes light up seeing Sabastian, Luca is in her arms blabbing away about some exciting story that no one is paying attention too apart from me. “Hi,” she breathes out as she reaches the bottom step, her eyes gazing at Sabastian like he hung the moon. When he lifts up the bag from the bakery, she steps closer to him and the two kiss passionately. I smirk some more as I watch them. My smile slips and I feel a pang in my chest, a green haze coming over me. She has everything and I have nothing. I look away. That was my choice. After what feels like time is standing still, they break apart. I guess Sabastian is right; she loves it. It always amuses me seeing my brothers, these tough, strong, powerful alphas, turn to putty in my sister’s presence. She turns to me with a big smile before she looks down at Luc

Chapter 56
Elio I had been mulling over the bomb Cahya had dropped. Gabriel had arranged a room for his sister … did that mean she had pre-arranged this before the full moon? Did she not care we were mates? So, she didn’t run because she found me with Naomi. Why did she run then? The question plagued my every thought day and night. Now I didn’t know what I should do? Do I go after her? At first, I was worried about what to say to her after what happened. How could I begin to explain why I didn’t go after her that night? I’m left wondering if she has been planning this from the beginning. I run a hand over my short black hair. I just thought we were getting along. Not in the conventional sense, but in our own way. I guess it was just me that felt this way, this pull, to be near her. My bedroom door slams open and I see Cahya storms in, slamming the door behind him as his nostrils flare. I pinch the bridge of my nose and groan. “How many times have I told you I don’t want to look at your ugly

Chapter 57
Elio The wind whips around us, carrying with it a hint of impending rain. The sound of rustling leaves fills the air with the scent of damp earth, and freshly fallen leaves linger as the tall sycamore trees sway as Gabriel’s icy gaze locks onto me. “What are you doing here?” he growls at me. I don’t miss the threatening tone in his voice and I wonder what his sister has told him. “I’ve come to collect my mate,” I state, plainly tilting my chin up. His brows furrow for a second, his anger dissipates for a moment before he masks it, giving me his hard stare once again. “She rejected you Elio, you accepted go home,” he tells me as I blink at him, a growl coming from my chest as he turns to his car. “Is that what she fucking told you? Hate to break it to you brother … but she never rejected me. She’s mine and I’d never accept her rejection,” I hiss, pressing up against the metal gate that separates the two of us. A myriad of expressions cross his face, concern and worry for his sister.

Chapter 58
Elio “Hello brother,” Cahya’s deep, gruff voice comes through the console of the car as the engine revs. When behind the wheel of this vehicle, it's as if you're soaring through the air. There’s not a bump in the road that would derail this car. “Has something happened?” I ask a knot forming in my stomach. He knows where I have gone. I doubt he would have called if it wasn’t urgent. I see the high mossy green mountains disappear behind me as I put more road between her pack and the Bentley Flying Spur. Cahya pierces through my thoughts as his voice echoes round the car of the sleek interior. The air freshener swings the rose, scent feeling the car before I rip it off and toss it out the window. “No, nothing is wrong brother,” I notice a lit to his voice that isn’t normally present. He sounds … happy. Not cocky or braggy, happy. I don’t think I have heard him happy since before he found out I was going to be the alpha of the pack. I go to say something when I hear a woman’s voice in

Chapter 59
Kara I had finally made it to the Eclipse pack where Katie came and met me straight away. The Eclipse pack is incredible. They have a large fountain outside their pack house with an array of wildflowers that fill the air with their floral fragrance’s pops of pinks, purples and reds fill the entire space amongst the cobbled streets. I thank Dylan, and he nods before one guard stays with me from home. It seems a little ridiculous. The Eclipse pack is exceptionally safe. Nothing ever seems to happen here. Well before these silver bullets plagued the different packs. Katie pulls me into a tight hug before I even make it out of the vehicle. The soft warm breeze surrounds us and I’m grateful that I can come back here again. “Omgeee, it’s so good to see you! How was your journey? Are you tired and hungry? Do you want a nap or shall we go out? We can head to a few of the shops or the arcade here? Whatever you want to do?” she rambles as I pat her back, barely able to breathe as I smile at

Chapter 60
Kara After much persuasion, Katie coerced me out the door the next morning after she had supervised my outfit choice. I had changed three times because my first two choices weren’t ‘date attire,’ whatever that means. So, I was wearing Katie’s pink pleated skirt and a white cropped top with my trainers. It was the one thing I had insisted on as Katie tried to force me into a pair of strappy heals. I had my hair swept up in a messy bun with a few strands around my face. I think this is the girliest I have ever looked. Even Aurora hadn’t been able to dress me up like this. I guess she doesn’t know Katie like I do. She may look like candyfloss, but the girl is a storm. I’m seeing why Dawson gives into all the pink fluffy crap she has around the pack house. Barbies dream house would be a more accurate depiction of the place. The door slammed right behind me, stopping me from retreating. Not that it was possible with Winter strolling up the stairs, his warm, charming smile on his face, as
