Katherine watched Sean falling to the ground like it was happening in slow motion. Her eyes filled with tears, and she opened her mouth, but no sound came out. That was not the end she wished for him, even if there was no love between them anymore. He deserved something different. Katherine caught the last glimpse of Camille before she disappeared. The witch ran away like a coward when her plans failed. A crowd gathered in front of Sean's body. Katherine passed all of them and kneeled next to him. His eyes looked at the sky, so she closed them with her hand. That was how the once mighty Alpha ended his life—enchanted, betrayed, backstabbed. Katherine looked at the man who was one the light of her life. She knew she was supposed to grieve over him, but somehow she couldn't. But Katherine could do two things. ~ Moon Goddess, if you can hear me, take care of him. And I will take care of the person who was responsible for this. Show him your mercy in the next life. ~ Katherine prayed

Camille was looking at Xavier with utter shock, and his face was not much different than hers. The which pulled her hand back, but the sensation she felt seconds before was still there. - What was that? - She asked in a demanding tone. - I have an idea, but I don't think you will like it.- Vampire replied, stunned. - Is this one of your vampires' tricks? - The witch hissed, looking straight into his eyes. - Better not. - I wish it was that. - Xavier replied, and his previous confidence was long gone. - Then tell me what the hell was that, immediately! - Camille raised her voice. - That was a bond! - Xavier spoke louder. - What bond? I knew you did something; admit it. - She was glancing at him.- I did nothing! It means we are destined for each other.- He almost yelled. Camille was watching him for a while, and then she burst into laughter. - I am sorry, can you say it again? What kind of crap is it?- The witch was still laughing. Xavier looked at the witch sternly, and her

Katherine was standing at the front of the pack house while all members gathered before her. Beta Calvin stood by her side; his face showed that he was the same confused as others. Alpha Tom took his place in front of everyone and spoke. - Thank you all for gathering that quickly. It is an important evening, even if not every news will be happy. I decided to be one to share the saddest information with you. Unfortunately, Alpha Sean is not with us anymore. - Tom got silent as many gasps could be heard from all directions. - What happened? Who did it? - The questions were coming from the pack members.Alpha Tom took a deep breath, but then Katherine put her hand on his arm, stopping him from continuing. Those were her people now, and they should hear it from her. She moved forward and looked at the people gathered before her. - During the meeting, Sean decided to divorce and reject me. I agreed with his decision as there was no love between us. After rejection, Sean marked Camille

Camille was watching a woman before her. Xavier's mother was sitting in their temporary house. It was a place Xavier had found a few years before and changed into his shelter. He lived here when his mother was mad at him, waiting for her anger to subside. Luckily, the Queen couldn't be angry with her beloved child for too long. Now, she was, in fact, beaming with joy. Her dear son found himself a bride. And she was not some ordinary vampire female he liked to flirt with in the past. His fated bride was a witch. It was an excellent coincidence since the Queen was always fond of witches. She was disappointed with her husband when he decided to give up on the alliance with them. In her opinion, it was a failure. But now there was a chance to fix it. Their kinds could be united. And all of that would happen, thanks to Xavier. - I am so happy for you, son. Your bride is a gem indeed. - Queen said joyfully. Camille looked at her and thought Xavier's mother would appreciate her even if

Katherine stood by Greg's side, carefully looking around. Alphas Jason and William stayed behind them together with King Marcus. They arrived at the pack an hour ago. What they found was very depressing. The whole pack was empty. There was no single soul left. Katherine glanced at Greg.- What happened here? Where is everyone? Vampire looked around, and it was evident he was confused, just like her. - I have no idea. It looks like everyone is gone. - But they left everything behind them? All their possessions, personal belongings. - Katherine raised her brow. - What made them leave in such a rush? Alpha Jason came to them. - Two other packs look precisely the same.- He said quietly like he was afraid someone could hear him. - Members of all those packs are gone without a trace. - Are you telling me they vanished? Because it is hard to believe no one noticed large groups of werewolves traveling on those lands. - Katherine asked him, doubtful. - That is obvious something happene
