Chapter 91:

RYAN“Seriously Sarah?” I questioned in my head, staring at the screen of my phone hoping she’d write me back. But she didn't and all of that made me so angry.I stood next to the counter in my kitchen, my phone in one hand and the other resting on the counter.I was slowly loosing it in my head, with her refusing to text back. I messed up big time, I know but I didn't deserve any of such treatment from her. I stood there for a couple of minutes, contemplating whether or not to drive down to her apartment or probably do something to myself that obviously would make her come over. After long hours of me thinking, it finally clicked. “I'm going to have to drive straight to her apartment!”I mumbled to myself, grabbed my key and went right through the front.I climbed in on the driver's end of my car, and turned the keys in the ignition. In less than a couple of minutes, I was right in front of her apartment and luckily for me, she was home already. I could tell from the quietness in t

Chapter 92~

RYANI woke up, instantly realizing that Tom was gone. I opened my eyes, looking around the dim room for him. My eyes went to the desk, where a shadow was outlined in the dark. As I looked closely, I slowly realized that I wasn't alone. I sat up straight staring at Logan hunched over my computer.“What the hell are you doing Man?” I asked.“Internet, isn't it obvious?,” He said pointing his fingers to my computer in front of him.And then he had his back against me, tapping on the keys of the computer.“Where’s Tom?” I asked, my eyes roaming the whole bedroom space.“Probably has his d***k stuck up in the ass of some blonde girl he met at a club.“Gross, why would you even say that?” I yelled as I laid back into the bed. “It's the weekend,” Logan said.“Whatever man!” I said and then I laid back down, staring up at my ceiling wondering where the hell he had in mind taking her out for tonight.Twisting, I tried to reach my phone in my back pocket. After a couple of seconds, I was abl

Chapter 93~

RYAN“Uhmmmm,” I stuttered, staring at the both of them.“A friend?” Logan asked.“Or,” Tom said as he perked up to his feet, smiling at me.“Some new girl, he’s been obsessed with the whole time they both walked past themselves in the neighborhood,” Tom teased.“And he just can't wait to have her all to himself,” He added.“But the only problem happens to be that, he found a man with the latest car model, always stopping by her house and now he’s gotta go,” Logan said as their laughter erupted in the air.“Stop it guys!!” I yelled, feeling paranoid about them not taking what I had to say about the issue seriously.“What?”“Did we cross the line?” Tom asked.“No, no,” I responded.“I’m just mad that you got it right,” I lied, and just when I did they both shook hands in excitement like they had won some trophy thing or something.“Quiet down gentlemen,” I said with a smile creased on my face. I snaked an arm over Tom’s neck and the other pulled Logan up to his feet.“To the club to fi

Chapter 94~

SARAH“Alright, bitch! It’s been too long since we talked,” Kathryn’s voice came through my laptop speaker slightly muffled.“How’s the first month of school with me around going?” She asked.I smiled at the screen, staring at her.“Don’t just sit down and stare at me like that young lady,” Kathryn said snapping her fingers in my face.“Okay fine, uhmmmm it’s been boring honey,” I said.“Do you mean that or are you just playing with me,” She asked, her eyebrows raised as she stared at me from her end of the screen.“I’m damn serious and you know Kathy!” I replied, holding my head up on my hand and smiling at her.“I wanna know what it’s like without me there, fill me in on all the details,” Kathryn requested.“Hold up,” I said holding my finger up in her face on my end of the screen.“Did you call in sick from home just so you could ask me all these?” I asked with a frown on my face.“Oh no, I’m ill sist, like—,” She responded.“Hmmm,” I said taking my gaze off her as I glanced over a

Chapter 95~

RYANI lay in bed, staring up at the ceiling until seven in the morning. I couldn't sleep knowing we were apart, knowing they’d been hanging out together lately.I mean, Sarah and the annoying dude Steve.I could practically feel her slipping away from me, she was pulling away from me. Physically and even worse, emotionally. I could feel her heart becoming more distant from mine.I knew if it came down to it, if I stayed silent to myself without a way of getting her back, I’d end up losing her for good. At some point, I wouldn't blame her for choosing to stay away.It had all been my fault… I thought to myself.Guilt flooded my conscience as I remembered the day I had let her walk in on Jennifer and me in bed. All of that turned out to be my fault. I’d gotten so wrapped up in Jennifer’s trap and had let Sarah slip through my cracks.I slowly rolled onto my side, staring at the clock for a couple of minutes contemplating whether or not to get myself prepped for school.I stood from the

Chapter 96~

SARAH“That would be all for today, boys and girls,” I said with a smile creased on my face as I leaned by the desk in the classroom watching as they scurried off.“Don't forget to send your assignments ASAP via email guys!!” I yelled. And just as I did, our eyes met. A familiar ache unfurled behind my rib as I stood there staring at him, not knowing what to say or do.The buzzing sound of my phone had my attention taken away from him as I stared at my screen for a couple of minutes and then back at him.His expression gradually morphed into stunned belief as I stared at him, holding on tight to my pile of textbooks. My heart was pounding as my fingers shook around the textbooks.I took further steps away from the desk and headed for the door, but then I felt a hand over my wrist holding me back.“Let go of my hand!” I shot at him, unable to meet his eyes.“You never told me you didn't want me here, so I'm technically not going against your wishes,” He responded.I sighed, exhaustion

Chapter 97:

STEVE“Fuck, it's too fucking early!!” I grumbled as I shoved my face further into my pillow. The large red blaring numbers on my alarm read 7:45 am. I was just about to say fuck it and head back to sleep when I quickly remembered I had the bus to catch.“Shit!!” I muttered headed for the showers.I gripped my hair tightly, rinsing off the shampoo from it and in less than an hour, I was ready to start my day.Half an hour later, I pulled up in front of my building and as I glanced at my watch, I realized how late I had gotten and now I was going to have to walk up to Sam’s apartment.“Fucking mechanics, can't even have their jobs done right,” I mumbled headed down the road that led to Sam's house.“Yo!!” I called out throwing pebbles and in less than a couple of minutes he stormed out of the house and off to school we both went in his not-so-cool car but I didn't mind that.*************************************************************“Get your ass back on track!!” Coach barked from t

Chapter 98:

SARAHThere I was sitting alone at my favorite spot, California’s hottest bar, and drinking hideously on my expensive soda after being stood up.That’s right! I've been stood up for the very first time in a long time by Robyn. It was enough for a girl to say fuck it and throw away sixteen dollars on one drink even though she didn’t have a full-time salary yet.“What was it with men and keeping to work rather than sticking to their Fiancées anyway,” I thought to myself. After such a hectic day, I was going to cancel but I had already postponed twice. Once for a rescheduled study group with Kathryn and the others, and the other when I was feeling under the weather. And I didn’t want to leave him hanging again, so I sucked it up and showed up only to get stood up.I finished the rest of my drink and flagged to the bartender, “ Check please?” I called out.“It’s already covered,” When my eyebrows shot up, the bartender tilted her head toward a table of prepping-looking twenty-one-somethi

Chapter 99:

RYANStumbling down the stairs in a hurry, I only had one goal—-seeing Anne at her apartment. I was more than determined to make her accept. Even if it meant showing up in front of her Fiancee.I love her, and I wouldn't let anyone or anything come between us.It had been so fucking hard staying away from her lately, and even for the fact that she's been hanging out with the menace from school. SteveAll I wanted to do was steal her and have her all to myself. It was torture to be so close but yet I had to keep my distance. The stench of stale beer stung my nose as I hopped into my car. I looked over to the passenger seat and realized I had Sticky red solo cups littered all over from the last party held.“What the actual fuck?” I cursed and then I had it all tossed to the floor as I started the ignition.I stared at the Clock on my phone screen for a couple of minutes, wondering why she had all of my text on hold. My phone buzzed in my pocket but I ignored it, Knowing who it was even

Chapter 100:

RYAN“How did you know I was staring at you?” I asked, a quizzical line formed between my brows as I stood there staring at her.“I've got eyes remember?” She asked and then giggled. Her soft laughter in my ears made the tiny hairs at the back of my neck tingle as I smiled back at her.“I’d leave you to rest now,” I said and then I got off the bed adjusting the collars of my shirt as I reached for the pillow next to her.“No, don't go!!” She grumbled pulling me back by the wrist.“It's been a long day for you,” I said with a smile creased on my face.“You need to rest, plus the stuff he gave could make you a little uhmmm…” I said.“In Love?” She asked and then chuckled.I stood, shocked that she had said that but then seeing the look on my face she smiled at me, and this time in a more seductive way.I bit my lower lips staring at her, our relationship was too complicated to let things linger without clearing the air but then again her current state made it so difficult to want to do
