I can't sign it!

MIA'S POV"I stood there, frozen, my heart racing in my chest as the world around me seemed to slow to a crawl. All I could hear was the pounding of my pulse in my ears."Didn't you hear me Peter? I said I want her." His deep, gravelly voice cut through my thoughts like a knife, jolting me back to the present moment. But even as I scanned the crowd, it dawned on me that I wasn't the only one wearing a navy blue dress. It could have been anyone.Several gorgeous ladies were flaunting their curves in navy blue dresses.I pushed the strange feeling to the back of my mind and began to walk away, hastening my step and not bothering to look back."Mia" I recognized the voice that carried so much authority that I dared not disobey. The voice calling my name was unmistakably Peter's. I stopped in my tracks, my heart racing as I turned to see him waving me over. There was a hint of desperation in his gesture, as if he needed me to come to him. After taking in a deep breath, I walked towards

Holding my stance

Peter's voice was low and urgent as he beckoned me over to a secluded corner of the room. "There's something I need to discuss with you," he said, a flicker of anxiety crossing his face."What the hell is wrong with you, Mia?" His words were sharp and biting, his charming demeanor replaced by an intense glare. His eyes were flashing with anger, and I could feel the tension rising in the room.I took a deep breath, trying to gather my thoughts. How could I explain to Peter that Ryan was my step-uncle and that we had a complicated history? Would he even understand?"I'm doing what I think is right," I replied, my voice steady and determined. I refused to let my emotions show, determined to keep a poker face.Peter's expression shifted from anger to disbelief, his eyes wide as if to say, "Have you lost your mind?" I could tell he was shocked by my words, but I refused to back down."You have no idea how much this opportunity means to us," Peter pleaded, his voice rising with emotion. "It

Packing up

MIA'S POVAfter packing up my things, I caught sight of a photo of my father, taken a year before. The image filled me with a sense of bittersweet nostalgia, and I felt a lump in my throat. His picture was a source of strength and inspiration for me. Whenever I felt down or discouraged, I would look at it, and it was as if I could hear his voice whispering in my ear, encouraging me to keep going.Though he was gone, his memory would always be close to my heart. He may no longer be here, but his love and influence would live on in me forever.I blinked back the tears and carefully placed the photo in the box, sealing it away with all the other precious belongings I had.The box was mostly empty, save for a few personal items: some jewelry and makeup. "Hey, I heard the news. Don't worry, everything will be okay," I felt a gentle hand on my shoulder, and when I turned around, I saw Susan standing there, her eyes full of compassion. She gave me a small smile, and her expression was so s

A warm bath

MIA'S POV As the cool water flowed over my body, I felt a sense of relief. The pounding in my head had lessened, and I could finally start to relax. The chill of the water felt refreshing, and I allowed myself to enjoy the feeling for a moment. With the water trickling down my body, I could feel the anger and frustration I'd been carrying start to melt away. After getting out of the shower, I wrapped a towel around myself and headed to my closet. I found a plain black tank top and some grey joggers, which seemed like a comfortable choice for the night. With my clothes on, I headed towards my desk, intending to get some work done on my computer. But as I passed by my nightstand, I noticed my phone was flashing, indicating a new message. Curiosity got the better of me, and I picked up the phone to see who it was from. As I glanced at the screen, I saw it was a message from Susan. I felt a sad smile creep onto my face as I read the message.

Glow up Agency

MIA'S POVAt Glow Up Agency."Greetings, Ms. Mia. It's a pleasure to meet you. My name is Anna."As the woman extended her hand for a handshake, I took it in mine, smiling as I did so. My grin widened, but I made sure to keep my smile pleasant and respectful. I wanted to make a good first impression."Please, take a seat, Ms. Mia," The woman said, gesturing towards the chair across from her. I took the offered seat, settling in and ready to begin our conversation. The manager was a woman in her mid-thirties, her brown hair cut in a stylish bob that accentuated her red lipstick. She wore a crisp white shirt and a pencil skirt that made her look both professional and sophisticated. As she looked through my portfolio of modeling photos, she exclaimed, "These photos are stunning! It's obvious that you have experience in front of the camera. Your poise and confidence come through in every shot." I felt my cheeks flush with pride at her words. It was validating to have my hard work recog

RYAN'S POV "I don't care about that, I gave you a job and I need you to do the job right. If you make a mistake like that in the future then get ready to stay in hell" I said in a frigid tone before ending the call and chucking my phone in my pocket. "Those silly incompetent boys " I thought to myself with a frown evident on my face. My grip on the coffee cup tightened, my fingers whitening from the pressure. A drop of hot coffee spilled over the rim and landed on my hand, causing a stinging sensation. I released my grip on the cup, and found that it had been crushed out of shape. "Argh fuck!" With a frustrated sigh, I tossed the mangled coffee cup into the trashcan. Then, I walked over to the counter to get a new one. "Here's your coffee Mr. Ryan" A young lady in her early twenties handed me a steaming cup with a smile on her face. I tossed a few dollar bills on the counter and turned away, my expression still grim. "Keep the change," I said gruffly, as I turned to leave. Th
