Isla’s POV “I need to leave. I cannot stay here another second. All my life, I have had to deal with more and more stress, and this tops it for me.” Mora huffed and started to throw things into her suitcase. Isla’s POV I just watched as Miller ran off into the distance, everything had happened to quickly that there was barely any time to process it. Max was trying to pull me away from the sight of the dead body that lay mauled just feet away from us. I turned my attention to Mora and felt my anger sizzle up because this girl had caused so much unnecessary drama in my life, and this was behind a joke now. “I can’t believe your stupid mate killed him.” She turned around and glared at me, pointing a finger. How dare she accuse me of being the one in the wrong. Also, was she stupid? Miller was not my mate. Not anymore. I felt my body start to shift as my wolf pushed forward and forced me to the back. Isla’s POV I really did not want to leave Max alone he had no idea how happy he made me feel. Without him, I felt sick and hated to be a part. I guess that’s part of the mate bond. Mora was so mad with Daniel, and I couldn’t believe that she had a baby with Miller’s best friend. She was certainly a different kind of species. How messed up did you have to be to treat someone like that she seems to like to screw everyone over to get what she wanted and clearly got bored easily. I felt so sorry for this baby of hers. This poor hopeless defenceless child was going to grow up without a father and a crazy ass mother. Could she really put a Baby first over her own selfish greed and needs? Isla’s POV Cora was not moving. Her eyes closed, it just looked like she was asleep. My heart felt like it stopped. My knees felt weak and wobbly like jelly on a plate. “Is she dead?” Mora gasped bringing me back out of my own head. She suddenly clasped a hand over her mouth. I snapped my eyes back to Cora, willing her to wake up. She’s going to be okay she had to be. My sister couldn’t die. I pray to the moon goddess that she will be alright, and then I feel Mora place her hand on my shoulder, trying to comfort me, that’s when the tears that I’ve been trying to hold back, started to fall. But I did not care about that all I could think about was my poor sister and that this was all my fault. I should never have come here with them. Mora, well she should’ve left on her own. Isla’s POV She doesn’t remember me. What happened to her? “Cora it’s me your sister don’t you remember?” I gasped holding her shoulders and looking into her eyes. There was nothing. She had no recognition of me. My own sister. Eric placed a hand on my shoulder and smiled sympathetically. “How can she not know who I am, but she recognised you as her mate? That doesn’t make any sense to me.” I complained as their pack doctor approached me with a glum look on his face. He scratched the top of his greying hair and let out a heavy sigh. “Miss Cora has had a nasty hit to the head and make her lose her memory. Unfortunately, we don’t know if it will come back or if it does how soon. It would seem the accident has caused her wolf to retreat.” His words rang in my head, and I wanted to burst into tears, but I couldn’t. Nothing came out. I was in far too much shock. If me and Mora had not been arguing, then perhaps none of this would have happened. “I need to see Max.
