"Good evening, may I know where Mr. Williamson's table is?" she asked the lady."For a while, Miss..." the lady said and looked at the details of who she was looking for. "This way, Ma'am..." 2 - Tame His Uncle

Scarlet immediately called her friend Amber that night when she saw that Stephen had returned to their grandparents’ house. Stephen looked at her without emotion before finally going to their family in the living room. Scarlet decided to go to the veranda to call Amber.“Where are you now?” Scarlet asked.“I just returned to my apartment; I brought the food I ordered earlier. That man didn’t even help me; who do I give it to now? This is too much,” Amber said quickly as she carried the many paper bags containing the food she took from the restaurant.“Just give it to the street people in your area. So, what’s the catch? How’s the date going?” Scarlet asked with a smile. And because of what Scarlet asked, Amber sighed when she remembered Stephen again and what she found out. Just then, she ultimately entered her apartment. She lives alone in her apartment. Scarlet even offered to give her a condominium, but Amber doesn’t want to because she doesn’t have a monthly payment for the apartm

3 - The Reason

Amber still couldn’t understand what Scarlet was saying, and she couldn’t understand why Scarlet wanted her to tame her Uncle Stephen. “I won’t do that, Scarlet. I don’t want to get into that kind of game,” said Amber, turning away from her friend. Amber went to the staff dressing room to get dressed in her uniform for her first job today as a sales lady at a famous store owned by Scarlet. She thought Scarlet was following her, so she turned around, but she saw Scarlet talking to someone. She sighed with relief, thinking that Scarlet finally stopped teasing her about Stephen, but that was what she felt because when lunch break came, Amber pulled by Scarlet to bring her to her office. “Let’s have lunch. I made a reservation for us, and we have someone to be with us,” Scarlet said with a smile. At first, Amber let it go because she thought she and Scarlet might eat lunch together, but she didn’t expect Scarlet to be referring to Stephen. “What is he doing here?” Amber whispered to S

4 - Jobs

They finished eating lunch, and what Amber couldn’t understand was when Scarlet suddenly announced that she was leaving. “I’m sorry, guys. Amber, I’m sorry. This is an emergency meeting, you know this, Uncle, right? It’s my mother’s company that I have to take care of. Promise, Amber. I’ll be back after your shift today.” Scarlet said worriedly. Amber understood her friend’s reason. “It’s fine, the other staff are already there even if I leave for my next job. I’m fine, don’t worry. Be careful, Scarlet.” Amber said with a smile. Stephen just listened to the two of them, and they took Scarlet to the parking lot of Scarlet’s shop to get in her car. Amber and Stephen were left outside the shop when Scarlet had already gone. Amber gulped twice; she didn’t know what to say to Stephen. “Uh... I’ll go in first; thanks for the lunch and ride,” Amber said softly. She was about to leave, but she stopped when Stephen spoke. “You have a next job after this?” Stephen asked seriously. Amber’s e

5-Accept

The next day, Amber woke up with a headache. After her last job at night, she suddenly felt dizzy while riding the bus. She slowly got up and suddenly felt hungry when she heard the sound of her stomach. “Didn’t I eat last night?” she asked herself. She immediately left the room and looked for food in her kitchen. She was disappointed when she saw that she couldn’t cook anything; she ran out of rice and some dishes. She just remembered that she hadn’t done grocery shopping yet. “Great!” she shouted in annoyance when she saw that he only had a little money left in her wallet. She was about to buy food. She took a deep breath and allowed herself not to eat. She started taking a shower to leave that day for her first job at Scarlet’s shop. And while she was on the bus, she was still enduring the hunger she felt until her phone rang, and she immediately answered it. It’s her mother calling. “Hey, Mom?” she began. “Amber, where are you? Are you going to your work? When are you comin

6-Arrived

Amber woke up early the next day and immediately left for the address given by Stephen. She is still nervous because this is the first time she will have a job as a stay-in at her boss’s house. When she got to Stephen’s house, she saw a woman standing before the big gate. The woman just looked up at the house, so Amber approached and talked to the woman. “Hey, are you his helper?” Amber asked directly, causing the girl to turn to her. The woman smiled at her and introduced herself, “Yes. My name is Melinda. I didn’t wait for her call; I went straight there because I thought that his secretary, who he said was with me today, would be waiting. Are you the one he is talking about?” Melinda asked Amber. Amber reached for Melinda’s hand and introduced herself. “Yes, I am his secretary. My name is Amber; it is nice meeting you, Melinda.” Amber said to Melinda with a smile. Two guards opened the gate for them, and they entered together. They were both amazed by how big and beautiful Steph

While Amber and Stephen are in the car, Amber is uneasy about her feelings. Before they could leave the house, Stephen gave his card to Amber right in front of Melinda. Amber wondered why Stephen was doing that, even though she was surprised and puzzled."He gave you his card, do you two have a relationship?" that's what Melinda asked her before Stephen called her to leave.Amber couldn't tell Melinda that there wasn't and she didn't know why Stephen did that either. Amber just thinks that no matter how much she earns using Stephen's card, it will be deducted from her salary.“Um…Sir?” she asked.“Hmmm?” Stephen's voice was soft."I just wanted to say that you don't need to lend me your card to buy clothes. I will buy when I have a salary from my job," explained Amber, she dared Stephen to take the card, she took it out and handed it to Stephen. But, Stephen shook his head. "I don't mind, anyway. Use that, that's part of your benefits as my employee," Stephen said seriously.Amber fro

While the three of them were at the mall, Melinda and Amber were walking ahead while Stephen was behind them, just following them. Melinda approached Amber and put her hand between one of Amber's arms."So, what's with you and him?" Melinda whispered.Amber looked at her. "What do you mean?" Amber also whispered, she secretly looked behind her and saw that Stephen was walking seriously even though other people inside the mall were looking at him."I knew it. You are his girlfriend," Melinda suddenly said, causing Amber to be shocked."No, I am not his girlfriend, Melinda. He's just my boss, I'm his secretary. Why did you think that?”"Because, first, he gave you his card so you could buy your stuff, second, he came here with us to accompany you? Really? Don't hide from me, it's obvious that you two have a relationship. Do you want me to ask him?" Melinda still didn't stop talking.Amber closed her eyes tightly and stopped walking so that Stephen also stopped behind them and Melinda. "

Two weeks after...Amber woke up early and went straight to the kitchen. She saw that Melinda was also there. Since Amber already knows that Melinda is Stephen's cousin, Melinda sleeps in one of the guest rooms, and so does Amber. Stephen also hired two helpers for the three of them."Hey, good morning..." Melinda greeted Amber with a smile. Amber is also dressed for work. "It looks like you woke up early today. Stephen was still asleep, but I cooked for our breakfast," added Melinda."Yeah, I also have a lot to do, so I decided to wake up early even though he said he wouldn't leave early today," said Amber.Melinda smiled at her. "How about Carson? Did he, you know? Did you two talk?” Melinda asked, still embarrassed to ask Amber that.Amber smiled sparingly, "I'm sorry, Melinda. If you really want me to talk to him, I can't. Right now, I can't even talk to him nor face him," said Amber."I know. I heard from Scarlet that he cheated on you. I'm sorry; I didn't know that Carson could
