1- Blind Date

She closed her eyes tightly before opening the door of the expensive restaurant. This is the address given by her best friend, and because she also wanted to forget what happened, she agreed to one blind date requested by her best friend.

She is wearing a fitted black backless dress tube and heels with three inches. Her friend let her borrow it.

"I am here," she said on the phone. She called her friend.

"Okay, good. Ask his name at the reservation area; he is already known there," said the friend and hung up.

She took a deep breath and then walked to the reservation desk. "Good evening, may I know where Mr. Williamson's table is?" she asked the lady.

"For a while, Miss..." the lady said and looked at the details of who she was looking for. "This way, Ma'am..." The lady pointed to the right side and walked first; she just followed the lady until they reached a VIP table, and only one person was at the table. "Hello, Mr. Williamson, the one you've been waiting for is already here," the lady said before leaving.

The man looking at the woman in front of him now frowned, unable to understand her nervousness. She looked at the man's face, and she didn't expect him to be so handsome because her friend hadn't given her a photo of the person she would see that day.

"Hi, I'm Amber...Amber Dean." Amber extended her hand in front of the man to introduce herself, but he just frowned and looked back at the Menu he held. "Aren't you going to get up and help me sit down?" Amber asked, her eyebrows raised, looking at the man.

The man slowly lowered the Menu and looked at Amber, confused by what Amber said. "You can't sit on your own?" he asked, which made Amber frown even more.

Amber didn't argue anymore; she just sat before the man. "I have been waiting for a while; my time is precious. So, if you want anything, order right away," he said, raising his hand to call a waiter.

They were in the VIP Area of the restaurant, and they were the only ones there. The man booked the whole VIP Area for himself and Amber because he didn't want anyone else to see him.

Amber grabbed the Menu with a bang and ordered one by one; the man she was with just looked and listened to her as she pointed to what was on the Menu. "Can you consume all of that?" asked the man.

"I don't know," she said, shrugging her shoulders. "Why? You can't pay for everything I ordered?" Amber asked.

The man just smirked; he looked at the waiter. "Get everything she orders," he said to the waiter.

Amber continued to point to what was on the Menu; she didn't realize that she meant everything on the Menu, so the waiter didn't list it and would use the entire Menu. "Is that all?" asked the man.

"Why? Do they have another Menu aside from this one?" Amber asked and turned to the waiter, "do you have another menu?" she asked.

The waiter was about to answer when the man stopped him. "Okay, that's enough. Just bring what she orders," he said, to which the waiter immediately followed. He left in front of the two of them.

Now that it was just the two of them, Amber looked at the man seriously. "What's your full name?" she asked directly.

The man looked at her without emotion after looking at his watch as if in a hurry. "You came here without knowing my information?" he asked, "you're late, twenty minutes late—"

"Your answer to my question is far away, Mr. Williamson. I asked you what your full name is. What should I call you?" Amber asked.

Just from the behavior of the man she is with now, it looks like they will never meet again, and she won't let her friend give her a man as a blind date again.

"You can call me Stephen," he said.

After about an hour and a half, all the food ordered by Amber arrived. Amber didn't realize that the man only let Amber call. "You didn't order yours?" Amber asked Stephen innocently.

"Is it necessary? You have used up what is on the Menu," he said.

Ten waiters took care of them, and since the food didn't fit on the table for the two of them, the servers placed them on another table in the VIP Area. Stephen thought that it was also helpful that he booked the entire VIP Area because of who he was with now.

'That's a lot,' Amber said, even though she couldn't believe what she did. She only did that because she was annoyed with the man.

"Do you think you can consume all of those?" asked Stephen about the foods.

Amber raised an eyebrow at him as if Stephen didn't believe she could consume everything. Amber stood up, and from the end, where the other food was placed, she began to eat them one by one. Stephen just watched her. Amber tasted the food on the plate one by one, and if she didn't like the food, she didn't finish.

After thirty minutes, she finished tasting everything and returned to her seat, feeling weak.

'Wow, is this a date or buffet eating?' she asked in his mind.

She looked at Stephen, who seemed to be eating a small amount of food on his plate and drinking wine. "You didn't eat?" she asked.

Stephen took a drink before answering Amber's question. "No," he said and shook his head. "Are you done?" he asked Amber.

Stephen looked at the food that Amber still needed to finish. "I'm done," she said, seeming proud of herself because she had eaten a lot but didn't know what to do while looking at the leftovers.

"Good, we're done here." Stephen stood up, which surprised Amber. "I'm going home. Do you have a car?" he asked.

"You're going home? We haven't talked yet," she said, apparently not liking it because she didn't even know anything about the man she was with except his name.

"We're just wasting our time here, and you were busy eating a while ago. Tonight is the last time we will meet, and don't talk about anything about this night to my niece..."

Amber was even more surprised by what she heard. "Scarlet is your niece?" she asked in shock, she couldn't believe it.

"Yeah, didn't she say that too?" Stephen asked her.

Amber shook her head at Stephen's question. She felt that her friend had lied to her. Amber didn't expect what she found out, and there is one thing she realized because of what she found out.

She felt she needed to talk to Scarlet right away.

"Why didn't she tell me she had an uncle, and it's you?" she asked, confused.

Stephen frowned. "You are her best friend, but you don't know her enough?" He asked Amber if it was a mistake for him to be with Amber tonight, but he admitted that he was happy to see Amber forcing herself to eat the food earlier.

"I didn't know she had an uncle here," Amber said out of her breath while looking at Stephen.

Stephen shook his head and laughed slightly because of Amber's still surprised look. "Excuse me, I'll go ahead of you. Don't worry; you don't need to pay what you ordered here because I already paid for everything…" Stephen said and left; he didn't even wait to know if Amber had a car.

Amber was left in the VIP Area, still shocked by what she had found out. "So, that means he is also related to my ex-boyfriend Carson?" she said in herself.
