Chapter 41: Meeting the Family
Abeni was in the kitchen making breakfast when Dmitry hugged her from behind. He leaned in, whispering in her ear, "You smell so good." He kissed her neck, making her shiver. She turned around in his arms and looked up at him, her green eyes sparkling. "I was making breakfast for you," she said softly, blushing. He chuckled, his deep voice vibrating against her chest. "I'm sure it's delicious," he murmured before kissing her again, more passionately this time. "But," he paused, his blue eyes searching hers, "where are the servants today?" She smiled up at him, feeling a mix of love and desire. "I told them to take the day off," she replied, her voice barely above a whisper. Dmitry laughed "Okay" he said "By the way, I want to meet your parents formally to ask for their blessing." He paused for a moment, watching her reaction. "I hope that's okay with you." He added carefully. Abeni's heart skipped a beat "Of course but..." "But what?" Dmitry asked, raising an eyebrow."Well, my dad

Chapter 42: A Second Chance?
A knock at the door interrupted their conversation. Dmitry excused himself and walked over to answer it. He opened the door to reveal a man in his late fifties, with salt-and-pepper hair and a weathered face. It took a moment for Dmitry to recognize him as his biological father, Grigory, whom he hadn't seen since he was a child. “Grigory,” he said, his voice tight with emotion. “What are you doing here?” “Dmitry,” Grigory replied, his voice wavering. “I...I came to apologize. I’ve missed you, son. I wanted to see you, to tell you that I’m sorry for abandoning you.” Tears welled in his eyes as he looked at Dmitry, searching for some sign of forgiveness. “Get the fuck off my property,” Dmitry growled, stepping back as his biological father tried to close the distance between them. “I don’t know what you think you’re doing here, but you have no place in my life.” Olga hearing the commotion in the living room, hurried to the door to see what was going on. She came face to face with Gri

Chapter 43: Urgent Call
When he told Olga and Natalia, they were concerned. "Dmitry, please be careful," Olga warned. "Grigory can be very manipulative. I don't want to see you get hurt by him again." Natalia nodded. "I know he's your father, Dmitry, but don't forget what he did to you and your mother. Be cautious." "Even though we have half-siblings that I care about, I really don't want Grigory to disappoint you like he did before," Natalia continued. " I understand your worries," Dmitry assured them. "But I have to try, for my own peace of mind. Don't worry, I'll be cautious." He gave them a reassuring smile. "Grigory may have his faults, but he's still my blood. I'll keep my eyes wide open, but I need to let him prove himself to me." Olga sighed. "Very well. Just don't let your guard down completely." She looked at him with tender concern in her eyes. "I won't, Mom," Dmitry said, pulling her into an embrace. "You raised me to be smarter than that." Natalia stepped forward too, joining the hug. "We

Chapter 44: Words of Encouragement
Dmitry drove while Abeni sat next to him in the passenger seat. He kept one hand on the steering wheel and the other rested high up on her thigh. "Dmitry!" Abeni gave him a playful swat. "Keep your hands to yourself, mister. We're on our way to see Naledi, remember?" Dmitry chuckled, his eyes twinkling mischievously. "Of course, of course." He moved his hand away with an exaggerated gesture. "My apologies." Abeni tried to keep a straight face, but soon broke into a grin. She reached over and grabbed his hand, guiding it back to her thigh. "I'm just kidding, you know I love your hands on me," she teased.  Dmitry's smile widened as he gave her thigh a squeeze. "You little minx. Don't start something you can't finish." "Who says I can't finish it later?" Abeni teased, leaning in closer to him. The car was growing hot with the weight of their desire, and the scent of their sweat and arousal filled the air. Dmitry pressed his hand harder again

Chapter 45: Mischievous Abeni
As Abeni approached Dmitry's car, she noticed him slouched in the driver's seat, eyes closed and head resting against the window. He looked so handsome and exhausted, she couldn't help but feel a surge of affection for him. She paused for a moment, taking in the sight of his broad shoulders and strong hands resting on the wheel.  Quietly, she opened the passenger door and slid into the seat next to him. Leaning over, she gave him a soft kiss on the cheek. "Dmitry?" His eyes fluttered open and he blinked a few times before focusing on her with a sleepy smile. "There you are. I was starting to think you'd abandoned me." "Sorry it took so long," Abeni said, brushing a strand of hair behind her ear.  "I'm ready to go now though." Dmitry started the engine and pulled away from the curb. "Is everything okay with Naledi?" "Yes, it was just...well, girl talk," Abeni replied vaguely. Dmitry raised an eyebrow at her. "Girl talk

Chapter 46: A Cold Warning
The next day, Abeni and Ada were strolling through the outdoor shopping district, bags of fresh produce and spices in hand. "So," Abeni began with a grin, "Dmitry was talking about paying for your university tuition." Ada looked at her sister with a mixture of surprise and excitement. "Really?" she asked, her voice barely above a whisper. "He would actually do that for me?" Abeni nodded, her expression solemn. "He said that you just beat cancer, and he wanted to help you get your life back on track. He seemed really sincere about it."  "Thank you, Abeni," Ada said, her eyes shining with tears. "I can't believe he'd do that for me. It's...it's so generous." She paused, wiping a tear from her cheek. "You know...dad called me...a few weeks ago. A day after I beat cancer...and he just...he just...said that he's changed. He's going to try to be there for me now. I'm not sure what that means, but..." Her voice trailed off, and she looked at her sister with hop

Chapter 47: Suspicious Intentions
In the days following their initial meeting, Abeni's father seemed to be making a sincere effort to reconnect. He called frequently, stopped by unannounced for visits, and constantly checked in to see how she and Ada were doing. "I'm just so grateful to have another chance with you girls," he told them over coffee one afternoon, tears in his eyes. "I missed out on so much already." Abeni squeezed his hand, feeling hopeful that perhaps he really had turned over a new leaf. But then, barely a week later, Abeni's phone rang with her father's number flashing across the screen. Frowning slightly, she answered. "Hi Dad, is everything okay?" There was an uncomfortable pause before he responded, his voice tense. "Abeni...I'm sorry to have to ask you this, but I need some money. Just a short-term loan to get me out of a bad spot." Abeni felt her heart sink. She knew her father had a gambling problem, but she'd hoped that he'd been able to get help. "Wh

Chapter 48: Questioning Trust
Later that night, Abeni was lying in bed next to Dmitry, unable to sleep. She kept replaying the phone call with her father over and over in her mind. Finally, she sighed and rolled onto her side to face Dmitry. "Dmitry? Are you still awake?" she whispered. "Mmm, yes," he murmured, shifting to look at her. "What's wrong, my love?" Abeni hesitated for a moment before speaking. "It's my father. He...he called me earlier today asking for money." Dmitry frowned. "Money? For what?" "He didn't really say," Abeni admitted. "Just that he needed a loan to 'get out of a bad spot.' But Dmitry, it's only been a few days since we've let him back into our lives. Isn't it too soon for him to be asking for money?" Dmitry stroked her hair gently. "You're right, that does seem rather quick. What did you tell him?" "I said I couldn't just hand over money without an explanation of what it was for," Abeni replied. "And he got upset and hung up on m

Chapter 49: Into the Lion's Den
The next morning, Abeni woke with a pounding headache and a mouth that tasted like an ashtray. As she went to roll over, she realized Dmitry was lying next to her, still sound asleep. Abeni felt a flush of embarrassment wash over her as flashes of the previous night came back to her - the bar, her emotional outburst, trying to drunkenly seduce him... She let out a soft sigh and carefully eased herself out of bed, trying not to wake him. But Dmitry must have sensed her movement, as he started to stir. His eyes opened slowly, heavy with fatigue. He blinked a few times before focusing on her with a sleepy smile. "Morning, my love," he mumbled, his voice rough from sleep. "How are you feeling?" "Embarrassed," Abeni admitted, averting her gaze. "And...grateful to you for taking care of me last night. Thank you." Reaching out, Dmitry tucked a loose strand of hair behind her ear. "It was nothing. You're my woman - I'll always take care of you, no matter what

Chapter 50: Chaos Unleashed
The look on Sergei's face told Dmitry he understood exactly what was happening. With a solemn nod, he set off to rally the rest of the forces. Within the hour, two sleek black vehicles were headed across town toward the dilapidated distillery that served as the Morozov's base of operations. Dmitry sat in the back of the car, his bodyguard Sergei driving, their expressions grim. The air was thick with tension, and each man knew that the confrontation that lay ahead would be unlike any they had faced before. The Morozovs were ruthless and cunning, and underestimating them would be a fatal mistake. When they finally arrived, Dmitry took a deep breath, hoping to steady his nerves. The distillery loomed before them, an imposing structure that had been in the Morozov family for generations. It was an unassuming building, easily overlooked among the other industrial warehouses in the area. But appearances could be deceiving. The distillery was more than just a place where c
