Tami's POV Rushing to the washroom, I locked the door and smiled at the thought that maybe, he cared for me, at least. I thought of getting ready before he was up so that there were no more awkward moments. Taking a quick shower, I came out wearing a beautiful suit that my Mom had bought for me. I got ready, wearing basic jewelry, bindi, bangles, and light make-up. He was still sleeping so I went downstairs to greet Uncle and Aunty... Oh, I mean my new set of mom and dad. I saw them having tea near the lawn, I went there and greeted them. Their faces lit up looking at me. Uncle asked me to sit. " Have tea, beta. " Mom asked. " I don't drink tea, Mom. " I shook my head and said. " Tell me about your hobbies, preferences, etc," she asked me and I told her about my passions and hobbies. " Great!! So you are going to join the hospital? " Dad asked. " Ji, with your permission. " I asked politely." Of course, beta, that's so sweet of you, but you don't need to take our permis

Tami's POV He called me?? Was he going to fight with me over another silly thing? I went upstairs and saw him talking to someone on the phone, just then the doorbell rang. He was still talking on the phone so I came out to see what was going on as I was very curious to know about Gaurvi and Shlok ji. I saw that my dad, Sagar uncle, Sahil uncle, Shlok ji, and Gaurvi walked in, uncle and Aunty welcomed them. Shit!! Shlok ji and Gaurvi were here and Mihir was upstairs. I was really worried about how he would behave, seeing them. Shlok ji and Gaurvi greeted Mihir's parents, they just nodded with a faint smile as they might be a bit annoyed recalling everything that could have happened. Everyone else sat down but both Shlok ji and Gaurvi kept standing there. " Uncle, Aunty... I am really very sorry for what happened... But... " Gaurvi started saying feeling very awkward but Mom stopped her in mid-sentence and tried to make her feel comfortable. " It's okay beta, Maurvi explai

Tami's POV " I got married due to some reasons but my fiance eloped at the last minute so I had to get married to her younger sister. Is that a valid reason, I don't want her as my wife." He explained bitterly and I felt so humiliated by the way he described everything. " Did her family keep you in the dark and replace the bride without your and your family's consent? If yes, then your wedding can be declared null and void. " the lawyer said. " No, they did inform us, and my mom and I knew about it." He said tears were brimming in my eyes, but I was determined not to shed one single tear. " Then I am sorry, the marriage is valid and you need to wait for 6 months to file a divorce. Under the Hindu Marriage Act, obtaining a divorce within the first six months is not feasible," the lawyer interjected, his voice tinged with solemnity. "Moreover, there must be valid grounds for such a petition... And in this case, it's not there." He replied. " Okay, got it! One more thing, You know

Tami's POV " Where are you going? What will I tell Mom or your family if they call? " He asked again getting annoyed now. " Why would my family call you to ask me where I was, when they can call me directly? I am going to meet my friends. " I just shrugged. " Who are your friends? " He asked with a raised eyebrow. How does it matter to you? " Why are you taking so much interest in me all of a sudden? Don't worry, I don't have any hidden boyfriends. Or I would not have married you. Right?? " " Tami... " " Oh yes, of course, I would have married you even if I loved someone else, as you belong to the richest family in the country. Well keep thinking what you want, I just don't want to be alone with you." I said, going downstairs. " Tami, where are you going? " He was still following me. " Don't pretend that you care, It doesn't suit you at least in my case. " I replied. " You are my responsibility till you are here. " He said. " No, I don't give you that right over me, my

Mihir's POV. The first morning after the wedding. As I stepped into the room, my gaze immediately fixated on her figure, draped in a saree, her wet hair glistening under the light. I watched, captivated as if seeing her for the first time. I was looking at her wearing a saree for the first time and it draped her like beauty and elegance personified, and that accentuated her innocence and beauty. She didn't notice my presence until the sound of my footsteps interrupted the silence and snapped her out of her reverie. Startled, she turned suddenly, her eyes widening in surprise as she realized I was there. At that moment, a few droplets of water from her wet hair landed softly on me as she turned quickly and our eyes met. In that moment, time stood still. I could feel his heart racing, his breath caught in his throat.Despite my inner turmoil and the weight of the situation, I couldn't deny that she was very beautiful. Caught off guard by the unexpected intimacy of the moment, I co
