Mihir's POV In the evening Mom sent me to Jindal mansion. Since my childhood, that house had been my favorite place to go as my Gaurvi lived there, but today, I didn't want to go there. But I was in such a situation that I could not avoid it even if I wanted to. Her memories were haunting me. Everyone looked very excited to see me there. The lavish feast laid out by Maurvi Aunty, a harmonious blend of North Indian and Gujarati flavors, spoke volumes of familial warmth and inclusion, a gesture meant to embrace me as one of their own. Despite the genuine hospitality extended towards me, beneath the surface, a torrent of emotions churned - memories of my love lost and the weight of familial expectations intertwined, casting a shadow over the festivities.Though I indulged in the culinary delights with outward enthusiasm, inwardly, my heart remained heavy with unresolved sentiments. Each smile I offered was a delicate facade, masking the ache of past wounds that lingered just beneath the

Mihir's POV I called the lawyer who was taking care of the legal issues of our empire. I wanted to meet regarding something. I called him to set up a meeting, he said that he was on leave but I told him it was urgent. I wanted to consult him about something, but Tami came into the room but waited when she saw me talking over the phone. I was still talking to him when the doorbell rang. Tami rushed outside immediately. Who could have come at this time? Tami was standing there, looking downwards. Who was there?? I went to stand by her and was surprised to see Gaurvi and Shlok with their fathers at my place. Gaurvi and Shlok were standing in front of my parents and apologizing to them. Why have they come here now?? I wanted to beat Shlok. I rushed downwards and saw Tami running After me. I heard all of them arguing especially my Dad and Sahil uncle. Just then I heard Gaurvi coming to stop the argument. She said that she never loved me and didn't want to marry me but I insisted. Oh

Mihir's POV Gaurvi was the reason that I had to leave the hospital. As I had refused to go for our honeymoon and they didn't even force us as they all were aware of the situation well, I started going to Dad's office as I could not stay home for the whole day.I was pleasantly surprised to see that Mahi was there when I entered the house. " Hey, good to see you. I didn't know, you were coming or I would have come home earlier. " I rushed to hug her and just then Manik bhai and Ron also came to see me. " Wow!! Bhai, you are also here? " I said going towards Manik bhai. " We had to, as we were invited for a special dinner." Manik bhai said. He came all the way from Surat to Delhi for dinner?? But before I could ask, Ron started teasing me. " But it's not fair that you went to work, c'mon it's just the third day since you got married. " Ron said. " I can't stay at home for all the day and Dad needs some rest so I sent him home early while I stayed there. " " Mihir, you should

Tami's POV. My dad called up about half an hour ago and told Mihir's dad that Gaurvi and Shlok ji were getting married after five days. I was happy to hear that everything was sorted out for them. Finally, they were getting married. But I felt bad for Mihir as he became upset after hearing that and went to our room excusing himself. Everyone knew that he was upset and they tried to give me an explanation from his side as if I didn't know why he left. " It's okay, I know he went away as he got upset hearing the news. He loved her, it will take time for him to come back to normal. " I said with a calm smile. " Thanks for being so understanding, Tami. " Mahi said and hugged me. After Mahi and Ron Jiju went home, we all retired to our rooms. I saw that he was already sleeping. I tiptoed to the washroom making minimum noise in getting ready to sleep. After changing my dress, I went to the couch to sleep.**********It was morning and when I awoke, I saw that Mihir was not in the roo

" We know about the Shahs, beta, what about Mihir? " Mom said. " He is very polite and humble with me. " I didn't look into her eyes as I knew she would read my expressions. "Are you sure? " " Yes, mom. " I said they both exchanged a look with each other as if they were talking silently. Finally, Dad nodded"Since Mihir isn't here, why don't you stay with us until the wedding?" Dad asked, a warm smile spreading across his face. I couldn't help but smile back, feeling the warmth of my parents' affection embracing me."I will call and ask Megha aunty," I offered."I will do it," Mom chimed in, her smile mirroring Dad's.As Mom called Megha Aunty to confirm my stay, I eagerly awaited her response.
