Shlok's POV As her hand moved to strike me, my reflexes kicked in, swiftly catching her wrist and gently twisting it behind her back.Never before had I reacted to such actions with a girl, but the need to halt the pointless argument and ensure our safety prevailed.Despite her struggles, I maintained my grip, ignoring the discomfort, my focus on my mission was consumed by the proximity of our faces.Strange, almost illicit thoughts flitted through my mind, I promptly dismissed as I chided myself inwardly for such filmy notions. Her anger seemed to enhance her beauty, a notion reminiscent of movie clichés depicting fiery allure that girls look more beautiful when they are angry... Just like an angry cat. Enough, Shlok! Don't soften. She is a troublemaker, and yielding to sentiment will only exacerbate matters. She will land her as well as you in a new problem. My inner voice cautioned.Right!! With a firm tone, I asserted my authority, demanding compliance with my directives, still

Third Person POVSomewhere near the hospital...Same nightShaurya was waiting at a cafe that remained open till midnight. He was planning his next step when Ron came. " What happened?? Are you all alright? " " I am fine... " " But you said it was a matter of life and death... That's why I came here as fast as I could. Do you even know how difficult it was for me to come at this hour?? I am married now and like any married man, I have to give reasons to my wife if I have to come out at night like this, especially with my old image of a casanova. Mihir is getting married and I was buried in work up to my neck. As we were in the Shahs' mansion I had to explain to Mehul uncle as well. I was too busy for your pranks... " He was getting annoyed. " Will you stop talking and listen to me?? What is wrong with everyone, no one is listening to me? " Shaurya got annoyed. " What is there to listen to, I don't have time for the gossip about random girls... We will talk about it the day afte

Shlok's POV (Flask back)We managed to reach the airstrip without being noticed, slipping into one of the small planes without drawing attention. Her expression shifted to shock when I announced that I would be the one flying."Can you even fly?" she asked, her voice laced with disbelief."I can. I've taken a crash course..." I replied casually, enjoying her reaction."Really... Thank God!" She let out a sigh of relief, though I couldn't resist teasing her further."Though I never finished it..." I grinned mischievously, watching her reaction closely. Her shock was evident, and I sensed she might faint. It was satisfying to see her taken aback for once. It was my territory and I was comfortable here due to my training but she was totally lost here. So, it felt fair enough to tease her, considering she'd teased me endlessly in the past. "Just kidding! I know how to fly it. Don't worry," I reassured her, trying to ease her nerves."Let's go!" Despite her lingering fear, she didn't pr

Shlok's POVAs I submerged myself in the cool waters, I whispered a silent prayer of gratitude to God that I managed to get her out of danger. Then I thanked for the food, and other supplies and for the beauty that surrounded me, both in the natural world and in the sleeping beauty that was sleeping beside me a few moments ago. With a silent promise to return, I shed my clothes and stepped into the gentle current, feeling its refreshing embrace envelop me like a lover's embrace. The water was crystal clear, revealing the smooth stones beneath my feet as I waded deeper into its depths. With each stroke, I felt the weight of the world slipping away, replaced by a sense of freedom and renewal. The cool water embraced me like a second skin, cleansing away the remnants of the night and rejuvenating my spirit with each passing moment. As I swam, I couldn't help but marvel at the beauty that surrounded me, grateful for the gift of this new day in paradise. As the sun climbed higher in the s

Shlok's POV I could feel her eyes on me and when I turned to see, I was delighted to see the way she was looking at me. Was she checking me out?? I think so as she has a look of appreciation on her face and she was looking at me in the similar way other girls have been given me. The physical labor seemed to enhance my appeal in her eyes, and I couldn't help but feel a surge of confidence. Her cheeks flushed when I caught her staring, a reaction that both amused and pleased me."What's got you so fascinated?" I inquired, lifting my head to meet her gaze."Oh, nothing, just thinking you could use a shave," she replied, attempting to deflect."But I bet I still look good like this, judging by that smile," I teased, enjoying the way she squirmed under my gaze. Her attempt to change the subject didn't escape my notice, and I pressed on, curious about her relationship with Mihir."I've never seen your precious Mihir with stubble. Does he not like it, or do you not allow it?" I probed, u
