Havermouth, Present TimeAislen watched as Talen led Cameron across the floor on his hands and knees, and then up onto the foot of the bed. “Sit there like a good puppy,” he commanded Cameron sternly.Cameron slid Aislen a look from the corner of his eye as he made himself comfortable on the bed. With Heath and Rhett, the play had always been focused on where their kinks overlapped, Heath’s need for control, Rhett’s cum play, and Cameron’s desire to be used and taken into sub-space. Although their equipment included collars and leashes, they’ve never ventured into puppy play.Cameron wasn’t sure he would like it. It seemed too corny being a werewolf, and a bit of a poor substitute to being in his wolf form. Why play at being a puppy, when you could transform into a wolf?“Good boy,” Talen praised him as he arranged pillows against the headboard. He set three dildos and three butt plugs on the mattress before standing back to admire his display, his eyes roaming over Heath, Rhett, and

Havermouth, Present TimeCameron wasn’t surprised that when he snuck out of the house just before sunrise, his father was already sitting on the stairs down to the firepit, tying up his shoelaces.Jules looked over his shoulder as the boards beneath Cameron’s feet creaked with the movement and smiled. “Morning.”“Hi Dad,” Cameron was glad to see him. It somehow felt right that they’d do the morning together. “Did you sleep okay?”“Fantastic,” Jules stood and stretched before scratching his stomach. “Let’s do our chores, and then hurry back, hey? Might get everything done before anyone wakes up.”They walked to the shed together through the chill of pre-dawn morning, navigating the way with ease due to their night sight. The slide of the galvanized iron door on its runner was overloud and disturbed the birds in the trees who twittered complaints as they judged whether it was actually time to wake up or not.As they carried the hay bale by its twine over to the fence and threw it over to

Havermouth, Present TimeNiarthen was keeping human time as there was no Mer party waiting on the bridge when they drove into town. There was nothing at all in fact - no people, no cars. It was like walking into an old Cowboy movie at noon when a shootdown was anticipated by the locals. Aislen would not have been surprised to see tumbleweed roll down the main street. The mental noise, however, let her know that the street and buildings weren’t as empty as they appeared. It did not take much, once she knew where to look for them, to spot the werewolf soldiers positioned in the crenelations of the rooftops and upper windows of the shops. As Aislen closed the car door behind her, a shadow dragged over the ground, and she looked up. Samuel’s outline was dramatic against the blue sky. There were no clouds in which for him to hide and so he did not try to, flying low so that the details of wings and tail, the ridges and spikes along his spine, could all be made out.His path took him beyond

Havermouth, Present TimeIt was a good question and one that Aislen did not know the answer to. Even if the people in the room and on the video conference all agreed, they would have to persuade the wider country, and possibly the entire world. It was hard enough to keep one town and one werewolf pack working together, let alone something on this scale.“It isn’t,” Aislen told him, and saw heads around the table whip her way as protests started to form on lips and an onslaught of shocked minds screamed at her to shut up! They didn’t really mean to scream it at her – as Heath was continuously reminding her, they weren’t responsible for errant thoughts and reactions. But for a moment she winced under the mental noise. She put her finger to her ear as if to block a sound as she tried to focus on Niarthen.“We don’t have the power to make this change, but the Mer do,” she explained. “No,” she shook her head at the TV screen as several of the alphas began speaking at once. “Noooo,” she rep

Havermouth, Present TimeMeguitte did not have to dig far into the kitchen cupboards to find what she needed. “This is… quite the most organized kitchen I have ever been in,” she remarked in surprise. “Everything on the shelves is lined up, handles turned the same way, cutlery nestled into each other… Do people actually live like this?”“Heath does,” Jules replied with a twist of amusement. He stood with the landline phone receiver pinched between chin and shoulder, holding a very grubby child’s t-shirt in his hands. From where she was, Meguitte could hear the AI voice inform him politely that the person that he called was not available and to please leave a message.Jules cleared his throat, awkwardly. “Um, hi…” He started. “You don’t know me. I don’t know you. And I’m hoping you’re okay. We were in Trayrock when the Mer invaded… you might not know they’re the Mer,” he corrected himself. “The army that blew the place apart invaded. Anyway. Somehow in all the chaos, the group that I w
